What a disappointment. The wait to get our food was extremely long. I'm not sure why because the Cesar salads didn't have dressing on them. The soup was barely warm. Ordered online through their Rapid PickUp Service. Easy to do. Got the 1/2 sandwich chicken walnut sandwich with a bowl of Chicken Noodle Soup. Hubby got the turkey sandwich with a bowl of French Onion soup. All were very tasty. When ordering, it said food would be ready in 10 minutes. I guess I have short memory. A few months ago my online order was never delivered. Tonight I made an online order thru the Panera App at 6:44 pm. Delivery scheduled for 7:30-7:45. At 8:15 I called Panera and was told no driver ever picked up the food that was now sitting there for over an hour. I was told Panera uses multiple delivery services even though their App makes it seem like Panera handles them. No notification or call made to me about the status so I guess they would let the food sit for hours waiting for some random driver to show up and expect me to accept cold, soggy, and wilted food? I've eaten here a number of times and I have to say I love their food. There is always plenty of parking and I love the kiosk that allow me to order my own food at my own pace. It's usually prepared rapidly which is another plus. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because Panera is overpriced. For the same price of some of their salads, I can go to sit down restaurant like Flower Child and get organic and fresh salads larger in size. Panera is more of a fast food place with sit down restaurant prices. I also gave them 4 stars over 5 because whenever I order something to eat and get it to go, I usually request the dinner roll or apple. But for some reason they keep forgetting to put it in there. They've only ever remembered 1 time. But repeatedly forgetting my free apple or roll is no reason to quit going. For now I like the place. read more

Shitty service. The woman working the section where you pick your order is horrible. I waited over 20 minutes for an order I placed through the website. The woman had my order sitting on the bar thing where the orders are packed. She never called my name, just pushed my order to the side and walked away. After +20 minutes, I asked her if my order was ready and it was. I asked for my drink, she verified I ordered a drink and then asked me to wait. Seven minutes later, she hands me a cup she had set on the counter and handed it to me and said, " just feel it with whatever it was you wanted." Like why TF didn't you just give me the cup 7min ago? Bring Paradise back! Stopped in here today for lunch. Ordered a salad. Had no idea where to wait. She register girl just said "have a seat, and we'll call your name". So I sat and waited in the dining area for about 10 minutes.My name was never called. Then I went over to the area where it seemed that people were retrieving their orders. I looked on the counter and there stood my bag. I finally left and am (attempting) to eat the salad now. They give you two cups of dressing which is nice, but doesn't help that the chicken is undercooked and chewy, and that they severely skimp on the corn, black beans and tortilla strips. This salad was nearly $9. Not worth even $5. I really wish Panera never bought out Paradise Bakery. I won't return here. read more

I don't like giving bad reviews but they're out of many bagels and didn't hear me when I asked for coffee. They're known for their bagels and should not be out of multiple types at 10am. And they have no intention of making more. When I asked for a refund they seemed surprised I didn't want a plain bagel. I can go anywhere for that but I chose to come here and was very disappointed in the service and selection. I would avoid this location until they decide to bake enough to meet demand. read more

I ordered from Panera Bread Company today for a company luncheon. Kelli at the Metro location is great! She was precise and accurate on taking our orders and they delivered on time! We placed 18 separate orders from their main menu and every single order was correct. They were highly organized and had not only the order written on the outside of the box but also the persons name. I will definitely use them again for our company events. This is pretty much like a paradise bakery.. The girl that was working at the counter aid that Panera actually biugh Paradise bakery and that there would be no more PAradise in Phoenix in 2016... Pamela offers soup that we love! Especially the broccoli and cheese soup. It's a tad boring to eat here since the options never vary. But that helped last week when my son needed soup and Zi knew Panera had what he wanted. I also like Panera catering. We open up our bag and my Asiago Steak Sandwich is just 1/2 instead of a whole and guess what.....it has no freaking steak in it AT ALL!!! Who makes a sandwich and forgets to put in the main ingredient???? That's 2 strikes. Then they completely forget my staff member's Roasted Turkey BLT sandwich...but they sure did charge us for it!!! Just came back from lunch with a friend, we both ordered the delicious Strawberry Poppyseed chicken salad. Really great, but the bread called French Baquette that comes with it is the worst. So dry and chewy and almost impossible to tear a piece off. Okay... So this is the 3rd time this has happened at the store. How does a bread store run out of bread??

This event happened at the Metro center location in Phoenix, Arizona. The manager needs some customer service training. I got a gift card from my job. I used it online to order to go. During the online checkout, I input the gift card information. The website also asked for a credit card for balance "in case needed" I did not get a screen saying the total charged to the gift card or to the credit card. I went to pick up the order. They charged the whole total to the credit card. Requested to talk to the manager to which she responded " I will put the chargeback to the credit card" and walked away without giving a receipt of balance return to the credit card. Three days later and no, she did not return the balance to the credit card. If you have a gift card, it is better to use in-store, they will charge your credit card and make you spend more money than you were not planning on spending. All that I wanted was to use the gift card to pay and was not allowed by the online website or the manager in the store. read more

MeH!!! The good is ok nothing exotic or interesting... their pastries are BOMB!!!! and their hibiscus and mango tea are amaZING! I usually mix them and I love their cookies or cakes or rolls better than their flattbreads, sandwiches or salads. The service can be Great or Awful depending on who's working I go once a wk on my lunch or on my break to grab some cookies and tea. While I went to Pei Wei for take out my wife goes to Panera for a take-out Bowl of Soup. I got mine and could have eaten it in the parking lot before she came out. Waiting a long time for a bowl of soup in a non-busy restaurant... really Then to find they threw the croutons in with the soup instead of on the side. Above and beyond customer service tonight. It's a chilly day so the coffee is going fast. Light roast was missing so I asked when it would be out and the young man offered to fill my cup in the back as it was beginning brewed. My friend was drinking decaffeinated and they brought out the pot and filled her cup as well. Another person in our party ordered food and they were out of an ingredient in her dish. The manager came over, apologized, refunded her money, she ordered a different item & he comped it...then he gave her a couple of free cookies. I'm in school so we come here to do homework and eat. The food and customer service has never disappointed us. This is why we return, this Panera has an amazing team. Their food is delicious as well.
