We started going to Grace when they first opened. The food was always delicious, served hot, and…read moreservice was great. Over time service dropped off (the staff is very young) and the food quality deteriorated. Over several visits we were served undercooked pizza, burned pizza, cold wagyu meatballs, and a glass of wine that had been wiped out with the rag they used to clean the counters so it reeked of (and tasted like) ammonia. Tonight we went in to give it another try. We were seated at the bar, one seat away from the manager who was evidently working on schedules or something similar. We browsed the menu, drinks list, chatted among ourselves, watched an employee try to figure out how to pull a draft beer from the tap, watched the couple beside us get their dinner, watched the manager share inside jokes or memes with one of the wait staff, and waited, and waited... over the span of approximately 10 minutes, as wait staff stood in the corner chatting, we were NEVER greeted, offered water, asked if we were ready to order... nothing. The manager who was literally one seat away from us at the bar was oblivious. We finally had enough waiting and decided to go elsewhere. I politely tapped the manager on the shoulder and explained to him that we were leaving, and told him why. He was shocked. Totally clueless.‍

While the food was great, I know it would have been better there! Two: We waited too long to try this place, we would have eaten here regularly and plan to do so now. The service was awesome, and while it did take a little longer to get food, it was worth the wait. The ONLY thing we didn't like was the potatoes. They were undercooked and just a weird overall texture. The cheesecake. . . . AHHH-MAZ-ING! While this is a small hole in the wall spot, it is cute and cozy. Definitely worth the try.

I had the Sweet Thai Chili Chicken Sandwhich, which has two big fried tenders coated in a sweet Thai chili sauce that wasn't too spicy paired with a slaw that nicely complimented the sweetness from the sauce. The fries of fluffy and crispy, perfectly seasoned with fresh pepper and course salt. The bang bang sauce is a must to dip the fries in but the kickin' bacon ranch sauce that came alongside the dipping tots appetizer takes the crown. Tiny cubed potatoes merged into a log, fried to perfection on the outside.... I need that every time I go. You order at the front and they give you a buzzer that will alert you when you can pick it up from the counter. There's only a couple seats inside, but that's no problem when there's so many tables outside and next door at Twisted Vine where you can get a nice cold drink with your meal. I ordered the bang bang chicken sandwich with their salt and pepper fries. The sandwich comes with so much chicken that I had to take a piece out to take a bit out of it! The tenders were so juicy and crispy even with the amazing bang bang sauce all over it. I haven't had salt and pepper fries in a while, but these were fantastic with their ranch dipping sauce. The staff was so friendly and quick to get our food out. They hand you little pagers to let you know when your order is done so you can hang out and not crowd the inside area. This is a lovely scratch kitchen and I can't wait to come back!

Seems comfy with coffee shop/meetups vibe, with a few small tables to enjoy a hand made empanada. It appears to be a family ran business with pleasant service, quiet environment and a DIY water dispenser. The food seemed authentic, flavor profiles I'm not familiar with (green beans on a sandwich)?! I was surprised how well it worked. Although a little juicy, the sandwich hit the spot with homemade bread, a little crispy outside and the perfect crunch of Serrano peppers inside. The shredded beef empanada was jam packed with meat! I didn't see the cheese until the last few bites, but it was enjoyable with the added pico de gallo for flavor. The filling to pastry ratio is nonsensical--how the lightly crisp outer shell holds in that much meat... Perfection. Very worthwhile stop, if you're in the area. You can tell there is love in this place, their food is all the evidence you need. EDITED TO ADD: I brought home two empanadas (chicken/mushroom and shredded beef) for the hubs. 30 seconds in the microwave and these were a hit for him!
