I always get great service & fast food that's satisfying every time I come here. It's nice they allow you to try a new item to see if you like it. I seem to always get their string bean chicken & teriyaki chicken. That never disappoints. The teriyaki chicken can be a little fatty, but I work around that. This time I ordered their Kung pow chicken and that is fire. Pretty spicy. I always like when they add a shrimp item that's worthy of trying! We dined in & there's plenty of open seating. People seem to come & go quickly with lots of carry out. This is definitely fast food service thats decent Chinese food! I noticed their wall shows community support. A fast and easy place to get Chinese. Always tastes good with a large selection. Can get 1/2 rice and 1/2 veggies as your side if you ask. Trying to figure out if you get more food when you got in vs drive through....about the same. Staff is friendly. Something they run out of you item and it could take 5-10 min. We always wait because the food is freshly cooked. Good place with a big group or kids becuase of the options. We always take out so we can watch TV while we eat, but the inside is always clean. read more

Ordered online, arrived in store and food was not even started to be prepared yet. It wasn't extremely busy, but they were more worried about the customers walking in than online orders. Inside line as well as drive thru were served and moved through however Instill stood there waiting for my food I had ordered prior to everyone else. I was asked twice by staff for the name and yet they looked confused as to who was doing what. Food could have been better as I finally received the end of what was left before new fresh food came out. Definitely will reconsider ordering from here again, especially online! I can count on one hand the amount of times I've had Panda Express, but I've never been disappointed when I do. Including this time! Despite a very long drive through line I got through in about 10 minutes. I ordered the Honey Sesame Chicken, a new menu item, and beef and broccoli entree with chow mein and the kung pao bowl with rice and crab rangoons for the fam. Every item was fantastic, I do highly recommend the honey sesame chicken if you're a fan of sesame chicken and sweetness. I love that the chow mein is skinny and not fat and slimy like the grocery store chinese. For the two entree meal I feel like the servings were large. And the crab rangoons are small, but for someone who usually only eats 1/2 it's perfect. 3 are only 190 calories, so about 60+ cals I love it! The whole meal was $17 again, a great value for two adults and one kiddo. It's fast food so you know what you're signing up for. I recommend this location for sure. read more

Have came to this location several times. I can't tell you how many times I've shown up here at 8 or a little bit before and have been met with incredibly rude/lazy employees, on top of the fact the entire inventory of food is completely gone with none being made. Typically they say yeah we'll make more for you if ya want, this time the person working the counter blatantly just told me yeah we're not making anymore. I have ordered from this restaurant via UberEats on a regular basis over the last few months and in reviewing my orders, 6 out of 10 were wrong. And it's not complicated like an undercooked steak or something. You scoop the food from the pan into the container. But a majority of items had missing or incorrect items. Last night they were missing the rangoons, the time before it was white rice instead of fried rice, the time before that I ordered a family meal and instead got a normal plate. I don't understand what's so difficult about reading the order and then double checking before it does out. read more

I've never had any problems with the food and the people are always pleasant. The shanghai steak is my favorites followed by the orange chicken. Place is always clean minus the rush hours but that is expected on occasion. One gripe I have that drives me bonkers is the completely broken concrete that seems to not ever get fixed as soon as you pull in. read more

Sweet baby Jesus help me understand the wait in this line. Why? Thank you for being open on a holiday eve, but good lord, each car sits at the window for close to 10 minutes. I am stuck, and can not leave. After pulling in the line, now 20 minutes ago - I am one car away from the window and there is no activity. I experienced this here once before and was comped a free large beverage. Why don't you guys have people pull around into a spot if their order is taking long?! Panda Express has some reasonable food. Some items I like are mushroom chicken, teriyaki chicken, and honey walnut shrimp. They had honey sesame chicken as a promo item, but I wish they would bring it back. So tasty. They are one of the few places I frequent that carry bottled Gatorade, so that is a bonus! For anyone who follows my reviews, you're probably thinking, "what the H was Sarah doing at 169th and West Maple Rd?" I can't say I argue with that sentiment myself as I made the 48 block trek from work to try out the Panda Express drive-through. I just couldn't ignore the siren song of the Panda any longer. I'd never been to a Panda Express until I went to Iowa State, and they got me hooked at the one in the MU basement with offers of free orange chicken. In that sense, the Panda was like the drug dealer I had to keep going back to for more... orange chicken... mmm... [insert Homer Simpson sounds here]. Anyway, some might complain that it's cheap food. And it is. I got a 2-entree meal with fried rice for about $6.50. But you have to stop and ask yourself if the a run of the mill chinese restaurant has better quality ingredients... Also, it's FAST. I've never in my life been to a drive through that's faster (yes, even counting Jimmy John's). By the time I pulled around they already had my food packaged up and ready to go. They even gave it to me before I paid and then the drive through attendant engaged me in a friendly conversation about cars. I called again today and was told by the assistant manager to visit the store and they would credit my credit card. I drove there and they refused. Wow, what a change! I placed an order using the app, and I ordered teriyaki chicken and a medium order of rice. I planned it so that I could swing through the drive-through on my way to work. When I got there, I pulled up to the speaker and told them what I had ordered and who I was, and he told me they didn't have any teriyaki chicken. He asked me if I wanted something else, and I said no. Now I had already been charged for my order, because I used the app, And now I am also stuck in the drive-through lane, unable to leave. When I got to the window, I asked for the manager's name. He said it was Javier. I asked him what Javier's last name was, and he didn't know. In fact, nobody who was working there knew the managers last name. Because I had been stuck in this line, and got no food, I got to work just on time, but with no dinner. I work 10 hour shifts overnight, and now I had to do so without dinner. Thanks a lot, Panda Express. The guy at the window had no idea how to give me a refund, and was absolutely no help at all other than saying "I don't know" to every question I asked. This place doesn't have any food. They run out of everything. They should fire the management who doesn't order enough. Who runs out of 6 different entries, lo mein, brown rice, and veggies. Screw that location, it is the worst! And above all they had a workers car w a handmade sign parked in front of the drive thru that said the drive thru was closed. I give 1 star because my son loves the orange chicken, but I've seriously never seen worse customer service in fast food. Every. Single. Time. Shame on me for going back, I guess. We've visited this Panda Express probably once every 3-4 weeks thinking this time will be better, but it just never improves. Tonight (as usual) I waited in the drive through for 10 minutes before they took my order, another 10 minutes to get to the window after ordering, and then I'm told it will be another 6 minutes for the orange chicken. That 6 minutes was actually another 10 minutes, but who's really counting? The teenagers running the store? Not so much. The least these people could do would be a little service recovery for such poor performance. A free crab rangoon, perhaps? An apology and a coupon and a promise we'll do better next time? I don't have fabulous expectations about fast food, but I do expect it to be fast. Nothing about Panda Express on West Maple has ever been fast. And it's unlikely that I'll ever be back. read more

There were six employees working the evening shift, 3 taking drive through orders, 2 cooking food, and one attempting to take of walk in orders, with 8 people in line. This made no sense for efficiency and it took a long time before the walk in traffic were given their food. I have always had a positive experience at this location. Perhaps I am easy to please? I have had smooth drive through experiences with quick service and hot tasty food. I do like to go inside to order more often. Even with a long line the employees move fast to get the orders filled at a respectable pace. You have to ask for soy sauce or sweet and sour at checkout. Abundance of food leaves me full as can be. No complaints. Fair prices. Great service!! read more
