First time here. It's a smaller spot so it's was super busy. It was a Friday and we arrived around 6:30. After I ordered I saw 10 other people with order numbers in their hand so that was an indication of the wait we were about to endure. We had to stand for a bit before a table was available. It took 45 minutes before the food arrived. Now the food. It was good enough to say I'll try it again. If it wasn't for the generous portion of fries I would have left hungry. I'd be happy to pay $18 for two sliders and half the amount of fries. Fries were good but most likely a premade frozen fry nothing unique. The size of the burger was honestly comparable to the McBurger not the Big Mac (smaller and less meat). Couldn't have been more than 1/4 lb. Very thin. Yes I know it's a smash burger but paper thin and didn't pour out of an already tiny bun. I ordered the heat burger. It came with pepper jack cheese jalapeños and aïoli sauce. I dipped it in ketchup b/c it seemed dry. The 9 year old ordered the classic with added bacon. I'd say add the 3rd patty for $3 to make the meat to bun ratio closer to equal. read more

We stopped in for Burger's at Hyde's Slydes a few days ago and it was our first time in. Based on reviews, we decided that it would be a good spot for us! Upon entering, the place was pretty busy. Most of the tables were full and there was a line to order (usually a great sign). We quickly made it through the line and were able to place our orders and sit down. Food came out in maybe about 15 minutes. At first glance, everything looked good. Good portions of sides for both regular and kids meals. I ordered the Lancer for myself and thought it was pretty good, though I wish there would've been a bit more bacon on it. Flavor wise, it was a good burger. SOOO YUMMY!! I kept seeing this place on social media and finally got to try it and was NOT disappointed! The hype is so worth it. I got the lancer burger and WOW was it delicious. The smash burger was cooked perfectly and was tender and juicy. All of the toppings were great and on top of that, the fries were also great. Perfectly crispy and additive. I'm giving Hydes Slydes 5 stars because our food was delicious. However, getting to the point where we actually got to try the food was a journey! We went in one day and placed an order, and when we went to pay we were told it was going to be over an hour wait for the food, so we left. Then we tried to order online and when we went to pay were told the store was closed at 6:30pm. We went in-person that same night and placed our order to-go and sat down to wait. After waiting for about 25 minutes and the larger party behind us (and only other party in the restaurant) already getting their food, the cashier asked for my name again, and they realized they skipped our order. The cashier put two packs of extra fries in our bag for the inconvenience, which I appreciated! Our meals were GREAT. I had the Aksarben Burger. The blue cheese was delicious, but I do wish the strawberry aioli had a more prominent fruit flavor. My husband also loved his burger. I love trying unique places and this certainly fits the bill. Hyde's is tucked in a small little plaza. If you didn't know it was there, you would totally miss it. While they seem to be know for their burgers, we went with a wrap. The snoop has crispy chicken, bacon jam, waffles pieces and peppers. It was everything I'd want from a breakfast wrap...minus the peppers. It was $11 and comes with fries. For $5 more you can supe you fries...which we went with the banh mi. A ton going on here, but really the highlight was the steak and fries. Totally worth it and huge portions. I added a drink for $2. I love that they are Coke products. The restaurant could use a bit more decor/ambiance (and maybe not leave laundry bags out on the dining room floor) but I won't hold a few inconsequential details against them. Burgers were good. Better than fast food by far but not so good I'd write home about it.... a little dry, TBH. But I'd come here again. Fries were great. But I'm a sucker for a battered fry. Something to consider would be a "specialty" house sauce that could be offered to guests when they order. In the mood for a really great burger? This is the place to go. The name did throw me - I was expecting sliders but once I realized it was full sized burgers I was in. I had the Lancer burger at their recommendation - it is their best seller for a reason. My husband had the Heat Burger plus smothered fries and raved about both of them. Only downside was that the floor was slippery and dirty as if it had grease residue in the mop water. So we will be back, but might stick to drive through next time! read more

My husband and I came in because we were craving the B&G sandwiches. We asked for two of the sandwiches with American cheese and pickles. When the sandwiches arrived at our table the buns were hot to the touch but the meat was cold as ice. We immediately told the wait staff and they said they would remake them and bring them out. As promised, the new sandwiches came out about 10 minutes later and this time the bun was cold, and the meat was luke warm. No cheese, no pickle. We ate the fries and called it good. I've heard great things about this all burger food truck so I've been excited to try it - missed them a few times at other locations or events. Today they were the food truck at the new indoor Farmer's Market at NE Brewing Co. A friend and I decided to meet up and since it was lunchtime, we didn't have to find an alternate place to eat before or after. We just looked around, ordered our food and ate there. I opted for the Rosenblatt which is pretty traditional with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle and onions. My friend got the Ranch Bowl which had bacon and pepperjack cheese. We stopped by Hyde's Slydes Burgers & Fries NEW location out West, and weren't disappointed!! We asked what they would recommend and were told that The Lancer was a favorite so of course we said hellll yes please! Lemme tell you... the taste was phenomenal, with that spice of the pepper jack cheese, sweet BBQ sauce, crunchy bacon, and that ranch patty! Very well balanced and cooked to perfection. We usually split our entrees so they sent it out cut in half for us; a detail that didn't go unnoticed! We upgraded and indulged on their Surf N Turf fries... which includes steak (just a tad too salty for me) and SHRIMPSSSS! The shrimp had ZERO DOO-DOO and I was sooo happy to see that! I'm telling ya, it matters! Smothered in a garlic cream and cheese that had a bit of a kick to it! I'm a ween with spice that equals heat, but it wasn't overpowering at all. A nice break in flavor for sure. Served on a tray - no plate! - which is perfect for the side; there's a LOT of fries to be eaten! If you're out West or find you need a little road trip, swing by Hyde's! Their drive thru opens next week but their atmosphere inside is just as welcoming. First time trying either Hydes Slydes location. I get so excited when new places open in south west Omaha so have been waiting to come check this out. I definitely want to start with the positives. The service was incredibly fast and waitress was so friendly. She checked in multiple times. Good service is hard to come by so was very impressed by the great service. Unfortunately the food was just a miss for me. There was nothing specifically that was wrong with the taste but I just wasn't impressed. I really wanted to like it but just wasn't a stand out burger. Judging by the rest of the reviews I'm in the minority which makes me happy for them. I'd got the Lancer Burger and my husband ordered the Ranch Bowl. We also ordered the French Dip Mac & Cheese fries. I can see the appeal of the fries but again we're an overall miss for me. Definitely not saying I'd never come back (especially after great service) but may wait awhile to try again. read more

My husband and I are big fans of Hyde's Slydes and eat here often, which makes tonight's experience especially disappointing. Unfortunately, the fries were extremely undercooked, so much that we didn't feel comfortable eating them, and the rest of the meal was just so-so. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but this visit really missed the mark compared to the consistent great food we've had in the past. I truly hope this was just an off night... Hyde's Slyde's (which is located within Grover Inn and shares a location with Yo NYC Wraps) - is a hidden gem in Omaha! It's not in any of the hipstery or swanky neighborhoods, but that doesn't hurt the quality at all. It definitely has a "dive bar" atmosphere (example: a few seats that had random white bedroom-style pillows on them last time we came) but that adds to the charm a little bit. There is a cute outdoor stage and patio area where they have performers sometimes or where you can just chill outside and drink when it's nice out. It is a sandy little area so it sort of feels like you're at the beach in the middle of Omaha. They have trivia every Thursday where you can win a round of drinks for your table after each round (with 5 rounds, so 5 chances)! We have gotten the pizza box of fries (I can't believe I just typed those words together) a few times, and it is always super flavorful. You get to choose four of their styles of fries and they come in a giant pizza box. For our fry pizza box (lol) we have gotten: -Kung Fu Fries: These were very tangy, along with a sweet hoisin flavor that paired together beautifully! -French Dip Mac and Cheese Fries: These were not my favorite just because of their kind of weird texture, having elbow noodles on top of fries with a cheese spread - not my cup of tea, but they were actually my husband's favorite. -Bacon Cheeseburger Fries: They taste exactly like a cheeseburger with a little mayo drizzle, bacon bits on top, along with the standard mustard and ketchup! So delish. -Banh Mi Fries: These may be a tie for my favorite (tied with the Kung Fu Fries), topped with pickled daikon and carrots, mayo, and sriracha! For burgers, we got the Lancer and the Ranch Bowl. They are pretty similar in toppings (ranch infused patty, mayo, pepperjack), except the Ranch Bowl is a single patty and the Lancer has two patties, plus grilled onions and bbq sauce. I had the Ranch Bowl which was very good but lacked a little bit of moisture in the patty, especially once I tasted my husband's Lancer burger which definitely had that. I'm not usually a fan of onions at all, but on the Lancer burger, they're so grilled down that you don't even taste/feel them in your mouth, and they just add to the flavor with the zesty BBQ sauce. The service is what you'd expect in a dive bar that also serves food - order up at the counter and wait for your food to be brought out in a semi-random sequence. But when you do get your food - it is worth the wait. Hyde's Slyde's has its ups and (tiny bit of) downs, but overall it's a super fun place with surprisingly great food! read more

Hydes Slydes came to the rescue! We had another Food Truck scheduled for our back to school Staff Inservice day and they had to cancel 24 hours prior to our event. I scrambled but with the help of Jon @ EZ Food Trucks he contacted Hydes Slydes and they said they could help us out. We had a small window of time to get the staff feed before our afternoon session and they went over and above! They served over 75 customers in less than 2 hours. Burgers and fries were amazing! Fresh, hot and delicious! The 2 gentleman working did a great job! I strongly recommend them if you have an event and need a food truck. Visiting from out of town and saw the good reviews for Hydes Slydes at Grover's Inn. At first, we thought we were at the wrong place. But after asking someone in the parking lot and going in, we were happily surprised. The bartender brought over watchers and a high chair for us and after looking at the menu and going to the counter to place our orders, our food was delivered pretty quickly. Even though it wasn't on the menu, I got a side of Mac and cheese for an almost 1-year old that was delicious- creamy and cheesy. I could have eaten just that and been happy. Others in our group got the bahn mi loaded fries, the ranch bowl burger and the biggest chicken sandwich I've seen in a long time. That breast was HUGE! Portion sizes were large. They took it back to the kitchen, and the kitchen staff brought it back, but to a different table and told the other table they were fine. The other customers brought the meal to back to my table. At that point, there was no other staff to speak to or ask for a replacement. The staff was too busy pushing an electric scooter out of the kitchen, into the dining room, out the front door of the restaurant and speeding around the parking lot. It's counter service, very friendly, and there's plenty of seating. My meal was an excellent value and had incredible flavor-- two caveats, though. One, the banh mi fry in no way resembles a banh mi. It's very tasty! It's just not in any way like a banh mi. Two, I found the whole affair to be pretty salty. I have an undersalted palate though so it might not bother anyone else. We (4 adults) had delivery once through DoorDash and none of us were impressed with the burgers. They sounded good but we all felt like our burgers at home were just as good. We both felt the best part, again, were the fries - we agreed if we needed some good fries with interesting toppings, we'd consider picking up a variety from here. As far as service goes, there were two male cooks in the back and another lady was taking orders. One couple was waiting for their order when we got there. Another came in shortly before we left - we went to the back after a few minutes to let someone know because no one came out to take their order. No apologies and fairly lackluster service. We had been so excited to try this place! Granted it was busy (arrived at 12:40 on a Sunday) and we absolutely took that into consideration. However we were told it would be 25-30 minutes for food when we ordered and opted for take out but ordered in the restaurant. We watched numerous other customers request updates on their meals - all being told it would be an additional 5-10 minutes and then it was at least another 20-25 for them. We watched one gal send her food back for hair in the food, new food came out quickly and then she sent it back again due to hair in the food. It took 65 minutes for our two wraps and side of fries to come out. When we were finally handed our food, there was no "thanks for waiting" or even an "enjoy your food". Finally made it to Hyde's Slydes! It was well worth the wait. Hyde's Slydes functions out of the Grover's Inn. You can watch all the delicious griddle action from the bar. Also shout out to the bartender, she was great! Also they make it easy to start a tab and give you your card back so you can order food from Hyde's. So as a group we shared the fry box. INCREDIBLE. The best fries and lots of fun toppings. I don't usually love a smothered fry because it always seems to make the fries too mushy. Not the case here! We got the kung fu, cheeseburger, banh mi, and the macaroni. All were delicious but the kung fun was the standout for me. I ordered the Nebraska Heat that has a spicy aioli and pickled jalapeño. This was the best burger I've had in a long time. Perfectly griddles with crispy edges but not dry at all. Also I love the bun they use. Soft but not too soft.
