I don't write reviews but I am super compelled to do so for this Penn Station Subs location. It is by far my favorite sandwich shop (and admittedly, I don't even like sandwiches all that much but CRAVE their subs). I regularly get the Founder's Special, which is incredibly savory and like a flavor bomb. The food is always great (get the fries, get a cookie, it's all so good). Additionally, the employees have always been AMAZING and so incredibly friendly. I don't go in nearly as much as I want to, but just in the extra handful of times I have been in there, they recognize me, know me by name, and talk to me as if I am a weekly regular. The atmosphere is what you would expect from a clean, inviting chain sandwich shop, BUT it's these phenomenal employees that make the atmosphere five stars. Five stars all around! read more

Worst customer service by Maria & Maritsa! For her birthday, my bride wanted to try PS for the FIRST time. Ordered online through PS. $75 order. Delivery said 6:34pm. Arrived at 7:15pm. Everything was cold & driver said they kept him at store adding orders to his delivery. Come to find out we received April's order (2 sandwiches) not ours. Tried calling 7 times & straight to VM. I drive to store, explain all this to MARIA & she says ,"Yes, I know. I messed up that order. We were busy." No apology, she just stoop there. So I requested my money back. Maria tells me she can't since we ordered thru door dash. I explained that we did not order with them, but via PS and showed her on my phone. Finally after 10 minutes she charged my card back. I asked about my order & she said it was to much & she can't make it for me without charging. I asked her if they wanted a one time customer or a customer for life? I thought her head was going to explode. Maria then requested that I take more time out of my schedule to come back the next day & speak with a manager. The bread on their sandwiches are so soft and delicious! I like it better than Jimmy John's bread. Sometimes they skimp on the toppings, and other times they put a fair amount on. It usually takes them a few minutes to finish my order since they make the fries fresh in front of you. If it's during prime lunch hour, the wait is usually 15 minutes. Their online ordering sometimes isn't ready by the pickup time I've noticed. Overall, their service can be a bit slower than other fast food restaurants, but the quality is better. read more

I usually go to the Penn Station at 78th & Dodge, but today I was in the Legacy area when I saw the shop nearby and decided to go there for lunch. I had my usual small BLT on multigrain bread with fries and a chocolate chunk cookie. All of it was great, as usual. What made the dining experience stand out was the smiling, friendly attitude of the people working there. I know I don't smile much which makes me appear to be grumpy and mad even when I'm not. That's why I notice people who smile. The guy who brought my sandwich had a big smile on his face like he was really happy to be there. He was also like that when taking customer orders and working behind the counter. Maybe he was the owner, I don't know, but his smile set me up with a good mood for the afternoon. read more

I'd leave half a star if I could and the only reason I'd leave half a star is because they gave me somewhat edible food. Don't order here because they will up charge the heck out of you. They charged me 3 separate times for one $17 sandwich and refused to give me a refund, so I had to file a claim with my bank. Outstanding fries. Had cold Italian sub that was OK. The small size was a tad small. It wasn't bad, but I prefer several competitors' subs. I will definitely return because the fries are the best in town. Will try a different sandwich next time to complement, maybe the Philly, and perhaps upgrade to the next size. First timer, heard good things. We ordered a large cheesesteak and a large Italian. The multi grain bread is very good. Didn't try the white bread. I'm not sure which sandwich I enjoyed more. Both solid, but at a price. 2 large sandwiches, one medium fry and a medium lemonade is over $30. That's a little steep. It was also a very weird vibe with the workers in there. They are also super slow. No one was in there and it seemed like forever. Also, don't scoop the fries until the sandwiches are done in the oven because they get cold! I mean, where do I start, Penn station for one is one of my favorite places to grab a Philly cheesesteak, that's obviously outside of the OG Philly. Every time I go here, everyone is extremely helpful, and pleasant. They run a clean establishment, and the food is very tasty. My recommendation is to go for a Philly cheesesteak with mayo, onions, mushrooms, and mayo. Also, don't forget the fries with a bit of vinegar. read more

New Sandwich Shop on 168th and Center. I COULD give the review in 2 words, freaking amazing!! I had their monthly special, a Philly Cheese Steak with mushrooms, onions and banana peppers. Perfectly toasted bread, flavorful ingredients and some of the most delicious hand cut, not greasy, crisp fries I have ever had. Well worth the trip out west. The staff have stations where everyone is designated an position and you can see them working together to build your meal. Management is super friendly and stopped by tables to see how everything is going. They are brand new, and I see a great future ahead for them, as we will be coming here often. read more

This place is just OK for me. The kind of place I won't object to if someone else wants to go, but it wouldn't be my first choice. The bread is kind of crunchy and I don't care for that. I had turkey and provolone, which was pretty bland. As other people have mentioned the fries are really good, but I don't come to a sub shop when I'm craving fries. I got the fries assuming they would be the pinnacle of the meal because they went to the trouble of cutting them fresh on site, but now I'm thinking that's just a gimmick. The fries didn't really have any seasoning to speak of, or it was so subtle I couldn't taste it, and they tasted burnt, however I think it was the oil they were cooked in that was burnt and not the fries themselves. I thought perhaps adding some of the malt vinegar would help bring out the magic, but it didn't seem to improve or worsen them in any way. Being from the Dayton-Cincinnati area, I was literally thrilled that there's one in Omaha. In my opinion, it is the best sub sandwich out there. I always go for the Italian. It's messy, the meat is well flavored, and the veggies are fresh. They also have amazing fresh fries. You must get their iced tea or lemonade. This was a surprise dinner. At work, the boss opened up a gift bag from Penn State and just said "take one". So I took what was on top without thinking much about it. The employee did some recalculating and came up with a final charge of $14 and change, which was high but I paid it. I ate at Penn station a few weeks ago and really enjoyed my experience. The staff was really great, friendly, and knowledgeable. I joined the email list to get on their rewards list and had a free large fry, which was nice. The sandwich I got was a chicken Parmesan and it was delicious. The meat was hot and tasted fresh, perfectly mixed in with mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce. The break was toasted perfectly, it was a nicely orchestrated sandwich. The fries was VERY good. I would compare them almost to a 5 guys, but enjoyed these fries a little more. Price wasn't bad, was fair, comparable to firehouse subs or any other of those sandwich places.
