I love this place! To some it might just be sandwiches & salads but I happen to love a good fresh sandwich and salad so... Never been in. I'm sure it's nice. Lol anyways, I've just done online ordering for delivery or pickup. There online ordering is simple & to the point. I prefer it because I can customize my sandwich to my liking fast. I've tried the turkey sandwich, salad and there pepperoni thin crust pizza. All pretty good and the ingredients seem to be fresh and that's my favorite part. Pickleman's has become one of my favorite spot when I'm in the mood for a sandwiches & salad.

This was my first time trying Pickleman's after receiving some recommendations. The sandwich was very good. However, I did find some flaws with the ordering process. Considering the restaurant was literally right across the street from my place of employment, why must there be a delivery fee? Now I would assume the delivery fee varies based upon 2 factors, total distance, and total order price. Therefore I found it a little silly/greedy for a delivery fee. I would have just walked across the street and picked it up myself but I was unable to leave the premises due to the nature of my work. For nearly $10, I would anticipate the sandwiches would be a little bit bigger. The pictures may misrepresent the actual size. As well as, after looking through their website and app, I didn't see any option to order a bigger size. The typical measurement you would see is 6" or 12" options. I saw 1 size and that's it. Perhaps I overlooked or missed this option somewhere. However, after reading through commonalities among other reviews, I believe it's accurate.

Do yourself a favor and get a salad as part of your pick 2, especially the Italian chop. I had this thing 3 days in a row it was that good

This is a good Pickleman's location. Friendly as well as swift service - one time there was a sandwich missing from the bag so the girl at the register gave us free chocolate chip cookies while we waited for them to cook us the sandwich that was missing so its good to see that they care about customer happiness. Food is also very good; sandwiches are nice, crispy and full of great flavors. I usually get the turkey sandwich or the Hodge Podge sandwich but I'm trying more flavors as time goes on.

the piece of paper, NO it's not lettuce.

Worst Cuban I've ever had. Super dry shredded chicken, no cheese, and the bread was not toasted.

We had someone bring us refills, to-go boxes, and take plates without us having to ask. I got a bowl with steak, rice, and veggies and it was delicious! The sauce they put on it is really good. Very flavorful veggies as well. Really couldn't have been any better. I also got a side of hummus with the chips. The meal also comes with a complimentary pita bread so I was able to try both which was nice. The side of hummus is plenty big so I actually took most of it home with me. No complaints! I will have to be back to try more menu items.

It was definitely on the thin side and there were less roasted veggies (a piece of cauliflower and mostly zucchini with essentially no flavor of their own) than I anticipated there would be. I was thinking that the lamb would be real lamb steak chunks since it was pricer than the beef option, but it was gyro meat texture. Granted, the gyro was DELICIOUS. The best bite of the bowl, probably the best gyro meat I've had. I thought there would be a decent amount of fresh tomatoes on top, but no dice. I think I maybe got four cherry tomatoes halves. The pita was good enough, unremarkable. I've eaten a decent amount of Mediterranean food and worked at a Greek restaurant for three years, and this meal didn't live up to my expectations. With the to-go plating, the meat was on one side and hummus and veggies were on the other side of a partitioned container. It just felt weird. They couldn't stock a to-go bowl large enough to contain a bowl? I'd pass on this meal.

I enjoyed the feel of the place and loved the live plants. I looked at the menu, that I grabbed on the way through and decided upon a vanilla latte. You go upfront to the counter and order. I was very tempted by one of their pastries, but I just decided to have the latte until I could decide what I wanted to eat for breakfast. Everyone was so nice and even brought a carafe of water to my table, since I was hobbling around with a cane (I'm waiting for my hip surgery). I was so delighted to see a beautifully decorated latte; in a simple white shallow mug, delivered direct to my table. I ended up ordering a light breakfast...one egg over medium, and some sourdough toast, with butter and their lovely jam. Everything was done perfectly, and the jam was divine. I will definitely be back again and next time I want to try some of their delectable baked goods with my latte.

This place taught me a thing or two about vegetables, which delighted all of our senses, and I highly recommend trying a variety of their small plates. This is worth a few minute detour. If you live here, well then, lucky you! Our servers carefully detailed the menu and let us taste a new wine prior to ordering. The dinner service manager is knowledgeable and passionate about the dining experience. When we ordered the radicchio salad, I was skeptical that it would be bitter, but was curious to try it. My husband and I could have fought over it--it was that good! The cauliflower was roasted perfectly, and sat upon a sweet and spice infused puree called mahummara with crunchy pine nuts. The complexity of spices compelled us to try another bite, and then another... Roasted carrots are tender and sweet. Paired with cool yogurt and chili crunch, they ascend into another level of deliciousness. A tear of fresh bread across bits of remaining sauce, and then (not a minute sooner) "we are satiated, thank you!" and the server can take the plate. The restaurant is adjacent to a theater that shows unique offerings and they will sometimes coordinate events with menus. We liked the simple cafe style tables and openness. Ample parking is available in back.

I asked for mine medium, but it arrived well-done. What disappointed us the most was that neither the manager nor the chef came to the table to apologize or address the situation. Unfortunately for them, we have both worked in the restaurant industry for years, and we know the proper protocol. At the very least, a manager should approach the table when a guest sends a dish back. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this restaurant.

They definitely have/had some pretty high prices compared to other eateries in the area. I'm not sure if that is caused by cost of goods or location or what, but I think that did come into play when a lot of economic hardship is happening all over. Like I mentioned above, I DID like their food, but it definitely had to be a special occasion type of thing, due to the high prices. When we did go, I LOVED the Maryland Crab Dip. It reminded me of my favorite crab dip in the world, at the SweetWater Brewing Company in Atlanta. We also had the Green Bean Almandine that was on special last time we went and that was pretty good, but you have to be a green bean fan, for sure. I decided to try the sushi as my main dish last time, and had the Everything Crunch Maki, which consisted of cooked salmon, jalapeño, and cream cheese. It was pretty good, and had a little hint of spice to it from the jalapeño, which cut the heavy cream aspect. My husband had the Grilled Atlantic Salmon for his entree, and gave me a few bites. It was cooked well and the mushroom risotto below it was very flavorful and filling. The cute nautical ambiance and excellent service were always appreciated, so no complaints there either. This spot was right by the hotel in Old Market, and we were early enough to get right in and grab a nice table (during happy hour, no less). The vibes are clean, nautical without being cheesy, and bright. The service was equally bright and helpful, and everything was flowing. On a super hot day, I had a Tom Collin's that was great and refreshing. Our group shared calamari with a top tier dipping sauce, an "aji verde" sauce that was new to me but I would buy it by the pint. We also shared their truffle fries and the side of mustard aioli was great as well. Best fries in a while. For my main, I got the blackened Mississippi catfish that was served over dirty rice, green beans, tomatoes, and a crawfish beurre blanc. It was as good as it sounds, I ate every bite on the plate. Okay, so let's recap: Amazing location? Check. Great service? Check. Good specials/happy hour? Check. Great food? Major check. Hard to top, I'll go here everytime I'm in the area and it was hard not to go back twice.
