It took 25 minutes for me to receive a plain bagel (not toasted and with nothing on it).The Panera employees were unorganized and not only blatantly lied, saying my order was about to be attended to but the employees were also unable to admit to their mistakes. I ordered a plain bagel (not toasted and with nothing on it) through the app. When I arrived at the Needham Panera store ten minutes after submitting the order, the order was not yet ready so I waited for an extra 5 more minutes. When the order still had not arrived at the take out shelf, I asked an employee if they could check up on it. He then replied that he was busy but to ask the employees working at the registers. I waited in line (there was one customer ahead of me currently ordering and only one employee working the register). After waiting another 5 minutes in line for this one register, i stepped out of line to ask an employee who had walked by. I asked her if she could please check on my order but she replied that she was currently busy and would be with me in a moment. When she returned I informed her that I had been waiting for 25 minutes for a bagel and asked her to check on it. She then feigned that she knew my order and responded, "That's right I was just about to complete that order. What type of bagel?" When I told her, she then feigned to know my order and replied, "toasted and with cream cheese right?" Not only was the employee pretending to know my order, she blatantly lied about how she was about to start my order. I'm thoroughly disappointed with Panera's service. I then submitted a complaint through Panera's website and was told a Panera representative would get back to me, however, no one ever responded. If I could give it zero stars, I would. I went there last night for a sandwich and soup. My French onion soup had no cheese, and the avocado on my sandwich was so unripe it was crisp and very bland. To top it off the place was gross and the bathrooms were pretty bad. I usually think Panera (in general) is a nice, quick meal but I will reconsider going there in the future, and definitely not be going back to this restaurant. read more

Our cashier Mastulah and our food runner Andrew were both very polite, helpful and efficient...they get five stars...This one star is specifically for the manager Ryan. People come here because its a quiet place to do work or just enjoy our lunch peacefully. Not only was he extremely loud the entire time we were there. He was extremely loud and rude to his staff and talking to them like they were idiots. Everyone was doing a great job and he talked down to them for no reason and you could see the effect on other employee's. I can hear him yelling across the whole establishment. I like Panera Bread. Yea, it's a chain, but their salads and sandwiches, even soups are really good stuff! You can change the bread, if you want Honey wheat and not french. You can have an apple, baguette, or chips. Haha. The salads are a good portion, with the side of baguette, and you'll be good until dinner. Coffee is really good. I'm a fan. Free refills too! Nice! Menu, food, prices are obviously just like any other Panera. I always find this Panera Bread to be very crowded and sometimes impossible to find a place to sit. Parking in the afternoon is very difficult. Its a small lot which is shared between other stores and pulling out of the parking lot at one of the two exits is almost impossible when there is traffic. They do provide outdoor seating but I do find the indoor seating to be crammed together and its worse when a lot of people are there. They provide quick service especially if you get your meal to go. If you've never eaten at Panera, I would recommend the "Bacon Turkey Bravo". The bread is the best part of the sandwich. Overall, its just like any other Panera but just take note that in the afternoon, finding a place to park is gonna suck and the traffic in Needham/Newton just never seems to disappear. read more

My least favorite Panera ever! Horrible wait times, place seems dirty (I SEE the flies) and staff is friendly but utterly clueless or just cruel. I stated several times that I was running late and I swear the cashier took EXTRA long to explain things to the trainee that was with her. Tried the new Cobb salad. I typically like Panera, but this salad had chunks of icy cold eggs, tasteless chicken, and absent bacon. Going back and getting bacon was worth it, but the salad still had a bad aftertaste. First, I like the food at Panera, and the service is fine. So good food and fair coffee. I take issue with the way this chain is run. 1. the eliminated a small coffee, so the smallest size available is 16.8 oz, now I know I don't have to fill the cup, but at $2.18 for an empty cup that I have to fill myself...... 2. My delicious blueberry bagel. (they are good, not to puffy) I looked up at the menu and see $1.05 for a bagel. My receipt shows $1.35 they have two prices for bagels, and a blueberry costs 30 cents more than an everything. 3. I ordered it with peanut butter (for here, not to go) had to spread the peanut butter my self. and the portion size officially 2oz, but that's not what I got. just enough to barely skim the bagel. 90 cents extra, fine i suppose, but for 90 cents............. 4. when the bus boy (ME) cleared his table, and left the knife on the plate, the employee near me showed me that the flatware goes in a separate compartment. (I thanked him) Now I suppose it's a value for the free wifi. if you are sitting all afternoon staring at your laptop for the price of a cup of coffee, but I am talking with my feet, and don't think I will be back, unless I want to watch a movie on netflix, which i just might do. read more

Awful. I got cookies that were stale so I went back. The kid asked me if I wanted a replacement, I said yes.... he charged me for them! And said I should have been there earlier, and this was at 10am. It was the day after Thanksgiving, so I know they were from the day before. I contacted them by email and they said that they souks have a manager contact me, but no. So I wrote them back 3 weeks later letting them know, and again, no response. Not giving them any money. I avoided this location for years due to prior poor experiences, and today, I was reminded why I stopped coming here. I used to order lunch for my staff (8-10 people) and something was always missing or incorrect. Today, 5+ years later and for a different team of 10, our ENTIRE order was missing. I ordered online using Panera's Rapid Pick Up feature, and evidently, because the order was over $100, their system filtered it to the Dedham location, which provides catering. Finally, an hour and 15 minutes after placing the order, it was found and fulfilled. I was offered a drink or pastry while I waited, which was very nice, but I am so disappointed that this location has failed to improve over the years and won't be back. read more

This has to be the worst Panera I have ever been to! The restrooms are filthy the carpets are stained and the service is rude. I've order take out on three occasions and each time they got my order wrong the most recent order was for the Asiargo Steak sandwich when I opened the bag one sandwich was wrapped in two different wrappers which would've been fine but the sandwich did not have any lettuce or tomatoes which I did not ask to be removed and no pickle. I had a pretty simple order, but I don't know if it's just their accents that they couldn't communicate the order properly to the other guy. So I might excuse that they got the wrong type of cream cheeses I ordered for my bagel, not that big a deal. But when I ordered the Alfredo tortellini with chicken and got back home and opened it up, the chicken was this petrified crap that looked like it wasn't cooked and was glued together. I would recommend these guys to work on communication and not half ass on cooking. And maybe dress more appropriately as opposed to serving my food with a du rag on and handing me my food with no smile on and no emotion. These guys aren't going to last as long as they hoped if they aren't running as a respectable business should. I think corporate should maybe show the manager how to run it more properly. read more

The biggest negative about this Panera compared to others it the limited parking space. At lunch and dinner I have to wait in the small lot and try to snipe spots. The food is the good quality as the other Paneras though I wish they didn't change the Italian as that was my favorite, and the new version IMO isn't as good. read more

Definitely a great Panera Bread location for staff, proximity to major roads, consistency of food, and service. However, the parking situation is terrible in the strip of shops at which it's located, even though they sometimes provide free valet parking for patrons. The handle the morning rush well, so I can overlook the bad parking as long as I come early or late enough (not peak hours!). read more

It gets pretty busy at lunch times though, and it's impossible to find parking unless you wait around and follow somebody to their car. I'm generally a big fan of Panera, and I've been known to spend a few mornings or afternoons studying/doing some work at their different locations. However, this location just feels too crowded. Last time I was there, there were almost no seats available, and that was around 10 in the morning, not even during the lunch rush. It feels as though they tried to cram as many seats in as possible, and it's just not a very comfortable place to spend time. I really love their breakfast sandwiches, so being a senior citizen and high risk, I have been sort of scared to order, but I have ordered from here a few times. This past Sunday, I ordered, drove right down the street to pick it up. There was a blocked off area to the left which said "To Order"; it did not say "For Pick-up". There were no cars in the parking lot so I just parked to the side. I called to let them know I was there, and this woman was very rude to me. She finally came out with my order, WITHOUT A MASK, and started yelling at me that I was parked in the wrong spot, and she said "F____ing Unbelievable", really? I'm here at 8:00 am trying to give you my business. In the last 6 months, I have had 4 orders that were not correct, and the male manager has been very pleasant to me about everything. This woman had no right to treat a customer this way. My friends never want to go here and now I can see why. I will not be placing any more orders here, and will drive to Waltham, where they are always extremely pleasant and nice. read more

Food - pretentious to be healthy but everything prepacked and precooked. On several occasions my soup had frozen lumps in it . Baking products are the best part in their stores. Please be aware- at this particular location you always get overcharged for Pick 2 Items. Last time I even mentioned to the cashier that I am selecting only one signature item and sure enough she charged me a dollar more as for 2 items. Only giving a star, because I have to. This Panera is probably the reason I no longer order anything other than a green tea and a bagel. Every time I get a salad, it contains the following: Wilted or brown lettuce, overly ripe (or under ripe) tomatoes, If I get cucumber, they have brown spots or are soggy in the middle. When you order something with mozzarella cheese, don't expect a lot of it - because you are lucky if you get a piece bigger than your thumb on the entire piece of bread. I used to LOVE Panera, I mean LOVE it... now... after this last time (only ordered because I had to pick something up for my boss) I will NEVER go back to this one, and possibly any other one, unless I want some green tea....until they go and eff that up too. Although finally with the rapid pick up - things are better as far as getting in and out, but the parking lot forget about it passed 11:30... good luck finding a spot and not fighting someone else for it. read more

I work right around the corner from this Panera, usually make it there a few times a month. Recently I noticed the service has been getting slower and more transnational. Today I waited over a half an hour to get my food before finally having to call it and leave without my order. I mentioned my dissatisfaction with the timeliness of the preparation of food to the manger, Bob, and his response was "It happens" and refunded my money.
