Came here with the intention of just getting coffee, but the menu looked so good we stayed for lunch! I got the rose cardamom latte which was SO good and the socca and eggplant tartino which was also incredible! All of the baked goods look fantastic as well, so don't expect to leave without one. Outdoor seating is always a plus as well. 100% recommend!

Absolutely was the best experience I've had in a long time as a small bakery. We had just come from a wake up the street and just want a cup of coffee and something to eat so we weren't sitting in the rush-hour traffic going to Needham center put it into my yelp app and I clean up here so really was excited about trying it. The food was excellent. We had a spinach and feta cheese type of Pastry like a designer croissant, off those called something else they heated up for us. It was delicious. We also had coffee and I had a mulled apple cider, which was out of this world. I'm really looking forward to going back and trying some of their other items. They have a chicken and waffle dish on Fridays that sound quite interesting and then they also like specials. They also sell their own coffee. They have not very many seating they have one long table of like 10 seats and they have like another five or six seats at like a bar like a breakfast bar in the window. They also have several types of chairs and tables outside, which just wasn't warm enough for my husband to sit outside. We sat inside and they said not to worry don't rush, even though they close at 5 o'clock not to rush to take our time which I thought was really very nice. They also carry gluten-free pastry as well

Stopped by to catch up with a few friends. I only trieda dessert and my brother tried the coffee. The raspberry based pastry looked really appealing and was decent. But definitely had better. Coffee was nothing special. But after reading the reviews I think this place is more known for croissants maybe next time will give it a try. Limited seating inside and have some outside as well. Was quite full on the inside and had to sit outside, I would say everything here is slightly on the pricier side. But still decent.

Breakfast sandwich was all right and the coffee was good, but the service was horrific. Jules, the manager, was shockingly dismissive when I didn't want an order that had been sitting for 10 minutes (I hadn't heard it called, though I did hear them call my other order). Her behavior came across as entitled and disturbingly unprofessional. I traveled from afar to visit this café -- it was on my bucket list after seeing it on Phantom Gourmet -- and the experience was incredibly disappointing. As an aside, they also allowed a customer in there with a dog - that jumped up and put their paws on the counter.

Wonderful bakery in the heart of Needham. It's of a quality patisserie level that I don't find enough in Massachusetts. We thoroughly enjoyed the variety of pastries, baked goods, and hot food, like their quiche, that we selected to bring home.

Super yummy drinks and hot food like sandwiches and tartines. Unique flavors put together in many of their meals that are just sooooo good. The chicken sandwich on Fridays is perfect. Staff are super friendly and helpful. I would love to be more impressed with their pastries and baked goods. The pretzel croissant is delicious, but many other pastries are mediocre in my opinion. A monthly special would be fun.

Amazing ham and cheese croissant! Just stopped by for a quick breakfast and knew I was in for a treat when I saw the kitchen through the window

I have been going to French press for years and it has changed a little. The drinks are great and have always been high quality. I think their baked goods have gone down though. I wouldn't recommend, most of the time I am disappointed. Although, my dad really enjoys the pretzel croissant and says it's the best he's ever had. Their food and oatmeal/yogurt parfaits are good. Service is always great. Good location.

Possibly the worst pizza I have ever had in my entire life!…read more Ordered two 18" pizzas via GrubHub, a sausage & ricotta, and a pepperoni. The former was a swimming pool of liquid on top, and wasn't even sliced. Unsliced pizza? Maybe they were worried all that liquid would destroy the box if they sliced it? The crust of the second one was actually soggy. Floppy pizza is a thing, but it shouldn't disintegrate! Also, the cheese over-cooked so that the oil separated, and the pizza was extremely salty. Combine that with the GrubHub (or store's?) driver just dropping the pizzas in my neighbor's driveway, and a photo of the location didn't show up for some time in the app, so I had to wander around randomly looking for my pizzas in my pajamas. Ate a few slices, but threw the rest in the garbage. Basically inedible. Never again!

The balsamic was tasty, but the amount was too small. I wish the bread was something more special than just a sub roll. They do have a really good deal on Monday for a buy one get one meatball sub. Husby said the meatballs were really delicious & tender. He's a fan of the sub roll. They were out of the lasagna, which I really wanted to try so I'll have to come back again and give it another go. The pizza & mozz sticks looks good as well.

""Meet me at the deli, meet me at the bar."…read more(The Strokes) Gianni's is a family-owned deli and pizzeria on Highland Street in the heart of Needham's busy Central Business District. They don't occupy a particularly large space -it's dominated by an ordering station with a big menu board over it, and a small showcase for their highly rated pizzas. Why "highly rated"? Well, they scored a 7.9 rating on Barstool sports, just a scant .1 of a point from their 8.0's description of "exceptional and rare". But we weren't there for pizza, we wanted to pick up some subs for a few lunches on our weekend trip. They have 14 "cold" and 10 "hot" sandwiches, and the pricing structure really makes you a fool if you don't go big. Our Italian and Ham and Cheese subs were prices at $11.99 for small and $12.99 for a large, so you tell me what choice you would make? My large Italian sub easily provided a satisfying half for Friday lunch and a second half for Saturday lunch. It was an excellent sandwich with plenty of meat on a pillowy soft sesame breaded sub roll with lettuce, tomato, onions and vinegar, Have I had subs with more meat? Of course I have. But have I paid around $20 for comparably sized subs? Of course I have. So, was I happy for Gianni's value, considering quality, quantity, and price? One thousand percent YES. Service was friendly and we enjoyed our visit very much. Of Note Their parking lot is tiny, so it would be challenging to negotiate on a perfect weather day. It was a snowy mess when we visited, and the mounds of snow and sardine-like jam-up of cars made the lot a hard pass for us. We ended up parking in the big lot across the street, behind Blue On Highland and walked over.

It was divine. The perfect amount of heat, eggs were properly runny, and the veggies were a perfect balance of crunch and spring. An espresso vanilla bean hurricane, was a delightful addition to the rest of our lunch. Service was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The cafe interior was utilitarian and well maintained. Unfortunately, the Italian sandwich didn't meet expectations. Despite being the most expensive option, it had very little meat, lacked flavor, and the bread was dry. It is a small place, quite messy, with a lot of activity (baking cookies, slicing meats) that had little to do with customer service. As I was the only customer there (at 1:25 in the afternoon) i was ignored (despite my attempts to converse) until I called out for a chicken parmigiana sandwich to go. The bread is fresh, but the sandwich merely had small pieces of breaded chicken--essentially just little bites, like one would cut for a toddler. Sauce was underwhelming and surprisingly (and disappointingly) sweet. I also purchased some premade penne with marinara for dinner. Again, the marinara was very dull...and sweet. The sandwich cost $14.75, and the penne was another $11.00. There were no pizza slices, no arancini. Rather disappointing and bare. In fact, the lemon cookie I bought, which was NOT mind blowing in any sense, was the single best thing I bought there. I know good Italian deli, and yes, I have been to Sicily on several occasions. This was more like a Subway attempt at Italian food. I do not expect to go back.
