I payed 2 extra dollars for once slice of avocado on my salad which i think is really unfair

Front entrance and parking

It was a little tricky to get to the restaurant as its easy to pass both entrances (especially during rush hour when I went). However, once you're in the parking lot, theres plenty of parking in the complex with a low flow of people driving in and out. Inside the restaurant was spacious with outdoor seating seemed nicely located in front of the restaurant. This restaurant had a self-service drink station which saved time compared to other Paneras where you need to order it formally at the front.

Lobster roll

Panera bread is very consistent. It's great for a quick, casual meal. I love all the salads especially the barbecue chicken and the Fuji apple one. Sandwiches are great too. Also love the baked goods especially the kitchen sink cookie. My mom tried the summer special lobster roll for the first time. We were impressed by the freshness and amount of lobster on it. It was pricey, $26 but you get your moneys worth. Their online ordering is extremely reliable and always ready right when I get there. Good indoor and outdoor seating. Nice peaceful place to get work done and a good meal. Cant go wrong.

It's fine. It's Panera. It's boring. Pronti Bistro is across the street and yummier.

This location is a disaster. No parking, inaccurate orders, poor seating arrangements. Avoid this location!

Grandma’s Kitchen - Braised beef noodle soup (large, $18)

What a gem! The chef is literally an 80-something Taiwanese grandmother and it is a small,…read morefamily-run business. Their prices are reasonable for this type of homestyle fare, so you have no reason to give your money to a big chain owned by fat cats! ;) On weekends, the wait for table seating can be an hour-plus but there is a reason for this. We ordered popcorn chicken to start and devoured our bowls of soup: chicken and braised beef. Mine was the latter and I ended up ordering additional noodles and Chinese veggies so the delicious broth would not go to waste! My side order of noodles was a healthy portion. I also tried the pork wontons and we finished off our meal with the sesame seed "appetizer" balls (4 small pieces: 2 skewers with 2 each). Dine-in seating is limited but what they have is clean and simple. The complementary jasmine and green hot tea is delicious. Andy served us and was attentive and affable. I will definitely come back to try the salt and pepper pork chop many have written about!

Easily the early and far away favorite for best restaurant of 2026. Where do I begin?…read more I came in on a Sunday night and was one of the last seated- luckily. As a family run restaurant , grandma and the rest of the family had a flight to catch to Taiwan the next day; all the ingredients are fresh to prep daily and sadly for some, they had to get turned away that night... I went heavy hitter mode, I was in the zone. I got the salt & pepper pork chop- wasn't going to eat the rice but as you can see from the pic below of the noodles- I licked the entire plate clean. This pork chop was perfectly seasoned and it was insanely tender. Very impressed with how tender and flavorful it was. Next up had the spicy wonton noodles; just truly amazing, idk what else to say. The noodles are perfectly cooked, super flavorful dish. The beef noodles were also incredible and the braised beef pieces stole the show in that bowl. I left zero room for any to go box. Service was amazing, they were super nice & I even got to say hello and compliment Grandma upon leaving. I would give this place 6 stars if I could. I will definitely be back soon!

Judith's Kitchen - Grilled Flank Sandwich

Friendsgiving has become a heck of a lot less stressful after discovering Judith's Kitchen. My…read morefriends and I usually plan one either the week before or after Thanksgiving, but most places that offer Thanksgiving catering only do so during the few days leading up to the big day. A couple of Friendsgivings ago I became determined to find a place where we could order catering in or around Newton where my friend hosts. After a little digging, I uncovered the gem that is Judith's Kitchen. Not only does Judith's Kitchen have oven roasted turkey breast and most of the standard Thanksgiving sides, but they have them year-round! Their full catering menu is quite extensive. That first year we ordered the turkey breast with gravy as well as the brussel sprouts, rosemary potatoes, and the butternut squash purée. The remaining sides we made ourselves. Let's just say everything was a massive hit. You pop everything in the oven to heat up and then they're ready to plate. It's so much nicer than making everything from scratch, especially the turkey. That quartet has become our regular Friendsgiving catering order. Placing an order is easy peasy as you do it with Judith herself (or you can do it online if you prefer). Just tell her what you want and for how many people and she'll let you know exactly the quantity you need. You do end up paying a bit of a premium considering we don't order a ton of food, but I think it's totally worth it for the convenience alone. I'd love to try their lunch offerings if I lived closer, but until then, Judith's Kitchen will be our go-to for Friendsgiving.

Unfortunately, I have to say that the reviews are very misleading. Not only was the man wearing…read morereading glasses who served me cold and unfriendly, but he also handed me my to-go sandwich without a bag or even napkins. Very unprofessional and disappointing. As a food critic, I must also note that the chicken salad sandwich was made with hard, chunky chicken and lacked any real flavor profile. I visited this restaurant with the intention of possibly doing a write-up on the quality of the food, ambiance, and overall value. Sadly, this place is among the worst I've tried this year. Please try Sandwich Works instead--they have the best sandwiches in Newton, and their staff is warm and incredibly friendly. Spend your money elsewhere.
