What I love from a bagel place is when the bagels are handled by the employees only.. not behind a sneeze guard for people to use their sorry hands and get their own. This place might be busy, but the wait to order is not very long.. 10 minutes at most and then you can get your coffee as they give you a cup to put it yourself, sit down, inside or outside ( in surprised the outside want packed as it was a really nice day to be sitting outside) as they have tables outside too, and wait for your name to be called which again isn't long as they have 3 people preparing the food. Or even less waiting if you just order bagels to go as they just pack up what you want right after you pay. The coffee might be self serve, but it was good and the bagel was great, I haven't tried the gingerbread man in my photos which I just bought cause I really liked his ugly face. The only downside I see for this place is that there is no accessible entrance and they could invest in converting the rear entrance into a ramp. read more

I had placed an order through TooGoodToGo for food. My wife went to the location and showed the order on her phone. They said the order wasn't ready at 1:30 when it was supposed to be picked up and to come back in 10 minutes. She came back and tried to open the app and had trouble doing so, but she also had a photo of the actual order with the confirmation code that I had sent to her. They refused to honor the order with the photo, so my wife called me at home and I got onto the app and swiped to confirm the order and sent her the photo of the confirmed order. They still refused to honor the order and would not give the product for which I had already paid. The person behind the counter was named Sharon and she was extremely rude to my wife. This was the worst "customer service " we have ever experienced at a food establishment. read more

Stop in for some bagels this weekend and was greeted with a friendly smile. The cashier was very knowledgeable about the ingredients and helpful with suggestions. My Bacon, Egg and Cheese on 5-Cheese bagel was great, everything was fresh and the bagel wasn't to hard and toasted perfectly. I was craving a bagel sandwich, so I 'yelped' to see what was around me and this popped up. Heck, I was in the area so I parked and walked in. I should have picked up on the fact that aside from other customer, the place was empty. The bagel selection was low, which was understandable given it was about noon. I ordered an everything bagel, toasted, with chive cream cheese and lox. Mistake. The bagel was barely toasted, but good. That's where the good news stops. My ever so lightly toasted bagel was SLATHERED in cream cheese. I understand someone being generous, but this was absolutely unappealing. I took at least half of it off, probably more. Also, I believe she microwaved it beforehand to soften it as well. Perhaps I'm picky, but there is a difference between smoked salmon and lox. The fish on my bagel sandwich was thickly sliced, and neither fresh or seasoned. I couldn't eat it. The place was a mess! There was not a single clean table. I started wiping my own table and chair down before I ate. The employee who was chatting it up with the other customer looked at me and continued his conversation. Will not be returning. read more

This is a cute little bagel shop located in the heart of Needham Center. They have Bagel sandwiches, pizza bagels, bagels and cream cheese, as well as bagels and lox. They also have many juices and coffee's and teas to choose from. The staff is normally friendly, and very professional. Occasionally you might get one of their part time employees who lacks a little in the customer service department, but for the most part all of the full time employees are the ones you'll see there. Sometimes it's hard to find a place to sit, and sometimes the tables are not cleaned off as often as they should be, but that can also mean that they are really busy. I always say if a business is really busy that is a good sign, it means people like them! read more

Have to agree with other reviewers here - the bagels and sandwiches are very good, if a bit pricy. Best bagels in Needham (although Cafe Fresh Bagel is also very good and gives them a run for it). The service isn't always the 'best' however. The owners are VERY nice but some of the other behind-the-counter staff can be quite brusque. Parking isn't so bad - there's generally plenty behind the store if not on the street. Overall I like Bagel's Best and will make the extra trip to go there. I know it's hard to find good help but a bit of attitude adjustment for certain members of their staff would bring them to a 5 in my book. read more
