Ham and cheese breakfast bagel - A close-up image of a bagel sandwich being held by two hands. The sandwich contains scrambled eggs, melted cheese, and ham inside a toasted bagel. The bagel has a golden-brown crust and a soft interior. The background shows a table with a paper bag and some chairs, indicating a casual dining setting.

Right on the center of Dedham Square and conveniently opening everyday at 5:30A, this local bagel shop is serving the best and freshest bagels in town, and by fresh I mean literally baked fresh, daily. On this early saturday morning my husband and I arrived at 8A and thankfully only had to wait in a 10min (meaning: we got lucky) we ordered the bacon and egg plain cheese bagel and the ham and egg and cheese plain bagel. We gave them both a (5/5) . We also tried the iced coffee and the regular hot coffee but as Miamians and Hispanics we're giving that a (-0) I'M SORRY!! It was the worse coffee I've ever had. I really hope Bostonians have better coffee- that was horrible. The service was honestly fast and friendly for how full it was and we loved the mom and pop ambiance. If we're ever back in Boston, we'll be back.

the inside of a bagel - A person holds a half-eaten bagel with cream cheese filling inside a vehicle. The bagel appears toasted and has a generous layer of cream cheese with small bits of green onion. The background shows the car's dashboard, side mirror, and a glimpse of the street outside. The bagel is wrapped in white paper, and the person's hand is visible gripping it.

Staff of nice enough, but the bagels are of the lowest quality. I understand Mass doesn't have good bagels in general, but they are pricing these at handmade prices and they are just not worth the money nor are they good. The crumb texture of the bagels itself is just sad, I don't know what's off about their dough making/boiling/baking process but it's clearly something. Tighter crumb than Dunkin. There is not enough (if any) egg wash used on top of the bagels, because none of their toppings stick. Perhaps they just sprinkles a few seeds on top instead of dipping in seed. No bagel with topping has anywhere near enough flavor. Why would I ask for a garlic bagel with just five tiny garlic pieces on top? The bagels itself are lacking flavor. Maybe not enough time for the yeast to grow or not enough salt in the dough. The texture isn't chewy the way bagels should be, making me doubt their boiling process. The most egregious issue to me personally is that their everything sees mix is poppy, sesame, and oats. When I asked about this a staff member said they don't use garlic, onion, or salt because "they're so flavorful" yeah that is the freaking point..... I am a huge hater of oats on bagels in general but to see it in everything seed mix for no reason at all was just horrible. Go to Exodus if you want a good bagel.

Onion bagels With lox spread! - Two hands are holding ice cream sandwiches wrapped in paper inside a vehicle. The sandwiches appear to have vanilla ice cream with chocolate or caramel swirls. The background shows a city street with buildings, parked cars, and a clear blue sky, indicating a daytime setting. The interior of the vehicle includes a steering wheel and dashboard, with the scene suggesting a casual snack break during a drive.

Decent bagels for a good price. Tasted like a bagel that I could get from Shaws. I did like the lox spread a lot though! It came with big pieces of salmon in it which is hard to find at other bagel shops!

Delicious egg and cheese sandwich on a bagel. Used real eggs that were not microwaved. Bagels were tasty as well. Highly recommend.

Santoro's has deep roots in Roslindale Square, originally founded by Vincenzo and Agostina Santoro and beloved for decades for their Sicilian pizza, fresh-baked scali bread, and classic Italian pastries. Today, their daughter Tina Santoro Asmar carries that legacy forward with pride--and has taken it to another level. The care, tradition, and family ownership are felt the moment you walk in. The sandwiches are simply unmatched. Hands down, the best Italian deli sandwiches I've ever had--better than anything I've eaten in Philadelphia, New York City, or Boston (all places I've lived). Everything starts with bread baked fresh daily and top-quality ingredients. Our favorites are: The Agostina Sr. - Boar's Head provolone, sweet & spicy capicola, Genoa salami, mortadella, prosciutto, sun-dried tomato spread, roasted red peppers, onion, tomato, fresh basil, and olive oil The Grayson - Oven Gold turkey, cranberry sauce, homemade stuffing, romaine, and mayo You can taste the pride and attention to detail in every bite. Catering is where Santoro's truly shines and we always call the day beforehand. We regularly order trays for our own family and for friends returning home from the hospital, and the feedback is always the same--everyone raves. Standout catering dishes include: Chicken Parmigiana, Stuffed shells & stuffed manicotti, Lasagna, Ziti with meatballs, Chicken, broccoli & ziti, Eggplant Parmigiana (a favorite with our vegetarian friends), and Caesar salad We always order extra meatballs and extra Nona Carmela's marinara--and it never goes to waste. The garlic bread is also a must: fresh scali bread loaded with garlic, butter, Parmesan, mozzarella, and baked until perfectly bubbly. The desserts are excellent (especially the cannoli), and they thoughtfully package them separately from hot food--small touches that show how much they care. Add in super friendly staff, fair prices, and consistently fresh ingredients, and Santoro's becomes the kind of place you rely on again and again--for everyday meals, family gatherings, and moments when food really matters. A true family-owned Italian gem with incredible sandwiches and catering you can trust. Highly recommended.

We stood there and waited another 10 minutes until he came around again and asked if we needed anything. I said yes, we're waiting for the refund. He got another coworker to process the refund for us. She was typing in front of a computer for a few minutes and said she processed it. My mistake that I took her for her word without requesting a refund receipt as the refund never processed. By the time we got home to eat (after stopping at the grocery store for soup instead), the four sandwiches were cold.
