I'll add another vote for this awkwardly named place as having the best bagels in the area. Still not great by national standards, but certainly way ahead of the regional competition. Great variety of flavors, good chew and crumb, and the service is fast and friendly. read more

Delicious bagels and breakfast sandwiches. Eggs, bacon, etc. are all made fresh on the spot. Quick and friendly service! Little seating inside, some outdoor seating on nice days. read more

Cafe Fresh Bagel - Egg bagel with cream cheese. Yum! - Bagels Near Me - Dedham, Massachusetts

Great little neighborhood bagel shop. The real deal. Light fluffy inside crisp outside. Onion bagels have a generous coating of onions. Sign on the wall says they got a best of Boston award. Everything looks good. The place is clean. You can see the baking oven behind the counter. I recommend it. read more

There is not a single bagel sandwich I've had yet that compares to the egg/tomato/cheese/ham (or any version of that) as the ones at Cafe Fresh Bagel. OH man. I just have nothing more to say than mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm read more

Best bagels in town! Small shop, not all that pretty, but the bagels are SO good! :) read more

Very fast counter service here is a plus, but the bagel I ate was very average tasting, coffee was extremely watered down. Meh!

Cafe Fresh Bataks have the BEST BAGELS anywhere I've ever been, including Brookline, MA, and NYC !!!! I've had bagels at hundreds of bagel shops around the World, and THESE ARE THE BEST ANYWHERE !!!! They are always FRESH, HOT out of the "whatever the device is that they do the final cooking in," and SCRUMPTIOUSLY DELICIOUS beyond belief !!! I've been going to the original Dedham location since it first opened decades ago, and most recently just this weekend... Their many varieties toasted bagels with one of their many varieties of cream cheese are all wonderful !! Their many varieties of toasted bagel breakfast sandwiches are renowned !!! OMG, Their everything toasted bagel with cream cheese and lox (thin sliced smoked salmon), is good enough to die for !!!!!!!! The ultimate compliment -- I've heard (my-now-ex-)Wife, who grew up in Queens, NYC, say Cafe Fresh Bagel' bagels are the best you can buy, and BELIEVE ME, that's the ULTIMATE COMPLIMENT !!!! They -- I GUARANTEE -- YOU WILL LOVE -- (unless your one of those people who are never happy with anything you don't do yourself) !!!???!!! read more

I love these bagels so much that on my last day visiting I usually take a dozen and then freeze them at my apartment in New York. The honey walnut cream cheese is on point. Lots of beverage options, and they make a mean egg and cheese. The family that runs is it nice - but I miss the big booth they got rid of for a bar stool set up. Thanks for breakfast Cafe Bagel! read more

Breakfast sandwiches...yum..(dd is really gross and only go to dd for food if you are desparate)...but cafe fresh bagel is awesome. the breakfast sandwiches are made to order but still ready in 1-2 mins! I got egg and cheese on a sesame toasted bagel and it was the beeeest!! the cheese was so perfectly melty and the whole thing will probably tide me over until well into the afternoon! The cranberry muffins are slammin' too! They have organic coffee for sale by the can...can't remember if they also serve it by the cup...will update this week when I go back! read more

The breakfast sandwiches are great. They have a great variety of bagels. I would recommend going to durning the week because on the weekends they kind of busy read more

We were visiting from out of state and stopped in today. The owner and staff were very friendly and the bagels were excellent! We will definitely be back when we are in the area again! read more

Café Fresh Bagel is a small chain of bagel shops throughout the greater Boston area (and one in western Massachusetts). I wouldn't call them the best bagels around, but they are pretty good for the rest of the competition in Dedham. I feel like over the years they have improved, but every once in a while I get a batch of bad bagels (I typically purchase a baker's dozen any time I go to a bagel shop... nice to have a bunch at home). One thing that is always great is the breakfast sandwiches which outdo Dunkin' Donuts any day. For the restaurant, the outside of this place is new (redone a few years ago), but inside is still sort of dirty, old, and not too welcoming (just spruce it up a little!). Everything seems sort of old an in desperate need of renovation. Even with the small size of the restaurant, space is used well and their are enough tables for the typical crowd (never seen this place too busy...). They do have one of the best locations in Dedham Square, and even without any parking lot, still attracts lots of business due to the high amount of people walking in the area (there is limited parking on both Washington and High Streets if you are looking). Either way, it's been in Dedham for a long time and stands as one of the only establishments of its type in the area. So in the end, three stars for the improvement in speed of service and quality of product in recent years, but missing the other two for the lack of modernity in furniture and setup and lack of consistency on rare occasions. In general it's worth a stop though and a place I typically like, so I'll bump it up to four stars.... especially since Bagelville is no longer around! 4 stars. read more

As with any reviews on Yelp, take negative reviews with a grain of salt. This is a Dedham institution. People living in this area know it's the best bagel around. You won't find a better bagel in the surrounding area. They're that good. I first tried it 20+ years ago while serving on jury duty at the courthouse across the street and have loved the bagels from here since then. They're fresh, chewy and come with variety of spreads. In a world where Panera and Dunks rule in Boston, Café Fresh stands out from the rest. read more

Love their bagels and iced coffee! I always forget they have like tons of cream cheese flavors too which is always a nice surprise! Will be back, will tell a friend, and will be reviewing ! Also the staff at the Dedham location is sooo nice and happy and its a great way to start your morning. Carb up Boston! read more

Simply heavenly bagels, the fact that I work 3 blocks away from it makes it dangerous. I end up here at least 3-4 mornings a week. Most mornings, I opt for the plain bagel, plain cream cheese, (boring, I know), but it is the best I have ever had. Occasionally I will splurge on a bacon egg and cheese on a plain bagel, and these are so good that i have been late to work some mornings savoring it in the parking lot. Coffee is so-so, nothing to write home about, but not shabby either. Parking is tricky as it is right in Dedham Center and all the spots are meters. Prices are fair, bagels with cream cheese are a steal at $1.90, but the sandwiches are a little pricey at $4.50. read more

I don't eat many bagels these days do to the high carb count. I do love them however and when i do eat them i look forward to it. I am giving 2 stars to this place not because the bagel was bad, it was quite good. However, I ordered lox spread and got nothing but cream cheese. I looked closely at it and saw perhaps a spec or two of orange. They charged me like 3$ for that. I am going to go back and assume it was a bad pull. We will see. read more

This place is horrible. First you ask for a sausage, egg and cheese and they give you egg cooked to the Core and know kielbasa ....sorry but kielbasa is not sausage! You have failed me! Never again! read more

The actual bagels are delicious and fresh and hot when I get them. I highly recommend just getting a bagel versus the sandwich because the egg is always overcooked. Great efficient service too. read more

Great little place. Among the best bagels in the area. Staff is very warm and friendly. I really enjoy their bagel, egg and cheese sandwich. Coffees' good too. Only a few tables, but that adds to the charm. read more

Got a bacon, egg, and cheese on a plain bagel. Egg was thick and fluffy but bagel was slightly burnt on the edges. Other than that, a great breakfast sandwich packed with bacon read more

Always a great stop. The bagels here are so delicious and I've been coming back for years! Pros: - best bagels - decent coffee - reliable quality - parking under 15 minutes is free Cons: - line can get long on the weekend - not the friendliest service read more

The worse customer service I have ever encountered. If I could I've then minus 5 stars that would be more appropriate. Try talking to the customer who is standing at the register next time, instead of sharing pics on your cellphones with each other. Horrible horrible horrible!!! read more

Was on a ride from southern Worcester county (Uxbridge) to Revere by way of the 95 Belt. Just had a hankering for a good bakery store bagel and typed in "bagels near me". So amazingly surprised by the outstanding customer service, timelines of the food preparation, cleanliness, and overall satisfaction with the experience. 1000/1000 would go here again and hope that everyone gets a chance to enjoy this wonderful Dedham Treasure. Thank you for a great bagel and experience to the Sunday 3/14/2021 crew!!! read more

Oh.My.God. As I've said before, I throughly enjoy the game of "find the best breakfast sandwich" and I can't play anymore in this area because cafe fresh bagel wins, everytime, hands down. Very unassuming from the exterior but MAN they have good bagels, you can tell they're so fresh. Love, love love this place! read more

Not sure what Melissa is talking about. Best bagels around especially right out of oven. Asiago or Salt with chive....holy sh*t ...Hazlenut ice coffee is solid. Line out the door after 9 every single Sat or Sunday. Never a bad experience. read more

This location is above the Norwood location due to service being much faster and staff being way more friendly! Bagels are so fresh and the choices you have are endless, a must try in the area. They offer various sandwiches, make you own and other toppings. Ditch the big chains and give this place a try. read more

Visited this place on a Wednesday morning around 8:30am (so no excuse for quality) I ordered a sausage, egg and cheese bagel and iced coffee. Well they first gave me a regular coffee which wasn't a big deal but now I see it was a sign of what was to follow. Coffee was replaced with Large ice coffee. My first real mistake I didn't try the coffee while waiting for my bagel, but seriously how can one mess up coffee you ask? Let's start with there are more grounds in the coffee than flavor. I am almost positive I'm drinking yesterday's watered down coffee with added grounds to try and add flavor. The next issue not a big one more of how I feel a to-go order should be treated, no napkins in my bag. But that's big the big issue just a pet peeve of mine. The bagel was burnt on the outside and yet just lightly toasted on the inside, the burnt flavor combined with flavorless coffee made it even that much harder to wash it down. You would think this was the only issue? Sorry then comes the sausage. I am a fan of sausage and not really sure how you ruin them but this place found a way. I will say they earn the single star with the egg as it was the only tasteful thing I received. I actually pulled the egg off and eat it by itself. I usually give places a second chance but if I want sewer water I can get it for free outside for free. read more

Very good bagels; probably best in town. But, facility is blah and rest of food offerings are sparse and just fair in taste. However, people who run it are very nice. read more

They are so rude. Stay away! My order was wrong and when I told them they screamed at me and did not want to make another one. I asked for another bagel to be made and while it was being made the woman making it made a point to speak loud enough so I could hear her saying 'she never ordered that'. read more

This may seem like your average bagel place in the suburbs, but these are hands down the best bagels I have ever had. I am fortunate enough to live only a couple blocks away and whenever someone in my family decides to make the morning a bit more special we get bagels from here and the whole house is in a good mood. My personal favorite is the blueberry. Not many places carry blueberry and it is not very popular, but it is delicious. I also recommend getting a breakfast sandwich. I recently had an egg and cheese on asiago and it was SO GOOD. Everything is made fresh in the back and is fantastic. Definitely the place to go if you want a good breakfast. read more

The best bagels in Boston, for sure. Fantastic selection of fresh bagels well into the afternoon, and the scallion cream cheese is fantastic! Always available is a selection of day-old 1/2 dozen in a bag at 1/2 price. Pick up some bagels and a container of cream cheese and your family will love you for it! Coffee not so good, pretty weak, but they're forgiven! My personal fav: the multigrain toasted with lite scallion cream cheese. YUM! read more

Yummy food!! Always look forward to bagels

I like. I've only had bagels and Tea here, but It was a really nice experience. Nice people and good bagels.

I go to both the Needham and Dedham to get my bagel, but it was a huge difference between the two locations. The Needham location has more fresh bagels and it tastes so amazing yet this location felt like a place that is about to run out of business soon. I would recommend visit the other locations read more

I have only gone into this location a couple times while walking through Dedham Square, but inventoried their wide selection of bagels and custom made breakfast sandwiches! I got a simple egg and cheese sandwich on a buttered croissant, and at the last minute I asked if they had bacon, I was kind of in a rush and hadn't thought of it. The girl insisted they put bacon on it, and didn't charge me extra. The sandwich was delicious and I can't wait to try a different kind! They are the ONLY place that serves breakfast in the area that in face has a kitchen. They actually just redid the whole kitchen and front windows!!! I highly recommend it. read more
