Well, you will need Google Maps, a compass and a Boy Scout badge to find this place. Between Mayor WU's one way streets that Google Maps don't know about yet? Or the Exodus old window locations closed and the airstream camper location in alley is the new temporary place to order from. But I was tipped off by a bagel buying enthusiast when I was looking in the closed window location puzzled why I didn't see any people or bagels . The nice enthusiast told me that the pick up location is around the corner in a different new alley ... confused still but as Columbo the detective would do... I saw people walking from many directions to the new alley at 8:10 am. I followed the crowd to where others were already in the alley for the ordering process at the airstream trailer ... I was reminded of cousin Eddie in the Christmas movie with Chevy Chase and his camper trailer . The guy in the trailer looked like a horse bookie taking bets with his note pad and credit card machine... he may have been one of the owners after I researched later on website . I ordered a garlic Asiago bagel with butter and a salt bagel with veggie cream cheese. Then I was instructed to stand in alley and wait for my order . The bagel worker bees I then saw them come out of another building door with the bags of bagels and hand out to the experienced bagel buyers who intelligently order ahead . But the wait was quick and the worker bees scurry in and out of the door with the bags. There no tables or an area to eat in the alley . There was No inside coffee selections or Starbucks couches to lounge on eating your bagel sipping the latte to Italian music? I understand this is temporary as old space being renovated? I had my bagels both toasted and were perfect shade of toast . These were excellent different type bagels and not a brick dough filled type that becomes rock hard . The texture of bagel was more of a crunch chew in a good way. The garlic Asiago was a real deal flavor and thus would be excellent for a BLT or tuna or chicken salad for a sandwich , this would be winner chicken sandwich dinner . The salt bagel had a strong salt flavor again in a good way with the veggie cream cheese. The veggie cream cheese needed more veggies in it, but it did the trick to tame my bagel itch. Excellent bagels and the treasure hunt experience to find them was worth it. Clearly by the line of people and congregation of people from differ directions...they have a devoted following... reminded me of a Facebook announcement of a new iPhone release and people sleeping overnight to be first in line . Now, what is their secret of how or what they do to get the crunch texture but remain airy and not doughy? In summary: a great bagel and I need more . read more

$30 for a dozen bagels! You gotta be kidding!! Totally not worth it. There is no ambience it's a pick up window.

Hidden temporary location. Other than no coffee lol. Excellent service bagel and order exactly as ordered. Delicious!!

On a crazy heavy rain filled day, the we decided to make a run Saturday morning to go grab some bagel sandwiches for breakfast. They are located inside a dead end street and had a small tent setup outside for anyone who may be waiting for their order at the window. We missed it driving by the first time. You can also order online *** there is a 13% administrative fee for your orders*** we didn't see that until after looking at the receipt closer, a bit expensive of a percentage on top of tax etc. 3 bagel sandwiches and a plain bagel with cream cheese came out to about $47? The lady enjoyed her Lox everything bagel with cream cheese. Believe it was garlic herb spread. So good! The listo was yummy and the garlic herb butter spread definitely brought it together with the egg. If you want bacon that's another $3 for about a slice and half of bacon added. The texture of the bagels had a nice crispy crunch and chew. Almost like a flaky / crunchy texture and it was very good, not overly thick bagel. Great breakfast sandwich. Just glad they had bagels in stock still, some competitions seem to sell out by 9 everyday. Haha make more! read more

We were looking for a bagel spot and Exodus showed up highly rated and was nearby so we checked it out. They have a good variety on the menu, while sticking to some classics as well. I tried their jalapeño cheddar bagel with scallion cream cheese and an iced hazelnut latte. The bagel was toasted and delicious, and I loved the cream cheese it came with. Also love that they keep the cream cheese separate so you can control how much to add to your bagel. It reminded me of the way pop up bagel in NYC is served. It was delicious and I would definitely come back! My latte was great too, and the employees were so friendly and gave goo recommendations as well. It's only an order window located in a smaller alley, but we got lucky and was able to park in one of the 2 spots available right next to their window. read more

I'm always looking for some new bagel spots to try & have been meaning to try Exodus Bagels for a while now! I was able to try their bagels over the weekend and I think I'm gonna have to go every week! The bagels were fabulous. We ordered 3 bagel sandwiches & 1 bagel w/ cream cheese to go. My personal favorite was the Lox Classic. It is probably the best lox bagel sandwich that I've had in MA, by far. It had the perfect amount of cream cheese to lox ratio... and the bagel! It was perfectly chewy and each bite was just amazing. The Listos bagels were also very good! It was basically an egg and cheese bagel, with option to add bacon + other ingredients. The garlic spread was chef's kiss, so good! I really liked that they give you the option to order ahead of time via online. Many bagel spots around here don't do that and oftentimes just sell out in the early morning. I will definitely be coming back for more bagels in the future 10/10! Parking: this area is honestly super hard to find parking but there are spots around further away. ***They automatically charge a 13% administrative fee for each order*** read more

I'm usually not a big fan of bagels, but Exodus bagels just hit different. I got a salted bagel with bacon/everything cream cheese. The bagels are huge and they're extremely generous with the cream cheese. The bagels are crispy with a slight chewiness when they're toasted. My order came out fast, and the only real issue I had was that the store is kind of easy to miss on the street when you're driving. read more

The best bagel in Boston. Always made to perfection, every single time. What else is there to say?

They are open! Don't despair, they are working from an Airstream trailer on the backside of their store so go around the corner, down the alley and you'll see the trailer. They are remodeling their space inside and the co-owner Adam is out back making it work! I had a Jalapeño Cheddar bagel with Sriracha cream cheese. It was sooooo good! read more

This is a decent option for bagels in the West Roxbury/Roslindale area, but it is expensive. It is a pop up window rather than a cafe, but service moved efficiently and it was about a 15 minute wait for my order amid a line on a Friday morning. I ordered an egg and cheese on an everything bagel toasted, and added bacon and avocado. The total came out to nearly $15, with the additions, which was very pricey for the quality. The taste was good but nothing out of the ordinary, it was average for a bacon egg and cheese. read more

Very good bagels, but I don't know if the quality justifies the price. Perhaps if I were more of a sandwich person, but alas, I am not. That said, the quality is good, and they last fairly long for freshly made bagels. read more

Make sure to order ahead! It seems most customers were doing that and it made things quicker for them. Takeout window based spot in Roslindale that can get super busy on weekends. Bagels were ok and nothing too special. I don't think I would drive out of my way to get them. Just a heads up, they charge a 13% fee on your order regardless of if you order online or in person. read more

The bagels are pretty good for Boston but compared to NJ/NY they aren't memorable. I really want to like this but unfortunately a few things are stopping this from being 5 stars. 1) it's about an hour wait from when you order, so always order online as that's how majority of their orders come in. 2) My sandwich order was wrong and missing 3 items I paid extra to have on there. It definitely needed salt and pepper, but that's just my preference as I do not like unseasoned eggs. 3) The pate was the most disappointing part and made me and my friend gag. It also had a hard texture and was crumbly instead of spreadable. I highly recommend not ordering it. There was something extremely off about it read more

Bagels worth waiting in line for outside a wonderfully whitewashed brick building. A few outdoor tables, and a walk-up order window if you haven't ordered ahead. Despite being open until 1pm on Sunday, by 10am they had sold out of cinnamon-raisin bagels and veggie cream cheese. With a little inventory adjustment, hopefully they will push off selling out of most popular items until closer to closing instead of closer to opening, but be prepared to compromise your fave flave. A unique offering is the EveryWHERE bagel, which is smothered top and bottom with Everything seasoning. Grab a variety dozen of these little lovelies. read more

Hands down, the *best* bagel I've ever had in my life. Seriously, I didn't think bagels could be this good until I tried Exodus Bagels. I'm still dreaming about the perfectly chewy, yet tender texture and the insane flavor. If you're in Boston and love bagels, this is a must-try. First, let me set the scene. Exodus Bagels is tucked away in an alley, so don't expect a fancy storefront. It's definitely more of a hidden gem vibe. There's no dine-in option, so you'll be grabbing your bagels to go, which honestly adds to the charm. You're literally picking up your bagels from a place that feels like a well-kept secret. Now, onto the bagels. They are legit next level. I went with a classic - salt bagel with cream cheese and deliciously thick cut bacon - and was completely blown away. The bagel was fresh, warm, and had that perfect golden crust on the outside with a chewy, flavorful interior. The seasoning was on point - not too salty. The cream cheese was so creamy, and the portion was generous without being over-the-top. I also tried their lox bagel and wow. The lox was fresh, melt-in-your-mouth quality, and they added just the right amount of toppings: capers, pickled red onion, and a bit of dill. Every bite was balanced, and the bagel held up the whole time without getting soggy - a true testament to how well-made it was. But beyond the food, what I really love about Exodus is the energy. Even though it's takeout-only, the staff is super friendly and helpful. You can tell they're passionate about what they do, and it shows in the quality of their bagels. A couple of things to keep in mind: It's popular, so there can be a bit of a wait, especially on weekends, but it's totally worth it. And since there's no seating, you'll have to find a spot nearby to enjoy your bagel (which honestly makes it a great grab-and-go breakfast if you're exploring the city). If you're a bagel lover or just appreciate great food in general, do yourself a favor and check out Exodus Bagels. You'll thank yourself later! read more

What a hidden gem! Exodus Bagels is tucked at the end of a dead end road and has the cutest little order and pickup window. They have a great menu with options ranging from breakfast sandwiches to lunch options to bagels by the dozen. Also - love the coffee from Tandem in Portland, ME :) I ordered a sausage egg and cheese on a sesame bagel - the bagel was light and crispy and the sausage was very tasty - lots of spiced flavor. My husband got the Monumental, which was very yummy as well - and messy! The service was friendly and they were able to get our order out without too much of a wait. Be aware that there are no restrooms or much of a seating area. There are a few outdoor chairs, but today was rainy so we just took the food to go. Also heads up that there is a 13% "admin fee" added to every order so they can pay their employees fair wages. I fully support fair wages...and I also support transparent pricing. There were numerous signs about this fee, so I was aware before paying. However, why not just charge more for menu items?? It's not very upfront and as a customer I'd rather just see transparent pricing so I know what I'm paying instead of trying to calculate the 13% in my head. In all, would definitely come back! read more

SO GOOD. Was looking to try a new bagel place and I'm so glad I found exodus. The bagels were super fresh and the cream cheese was amazing. There are so many options so there's a bagel for everyone. Just get there early because the favorites do sell out. The customer service was great and the online order process was very smooth and quick. There isn't any parking because it's on a dead end. I live for Exodus Bagels. They're one of my favorite Black-owned businesses, and my partner and I have tried almost all of their sandwiches! This is my 5th visit but first review. Today, we picked up the Hook on a garlic asiago bagel and G&G Classic on a jalapeño cheddar bagel. Today's rating averaged to a 4, but I'm bumping my overall rating up to a 5 because I truly love this place! TASTE: 5/5 - I was so pleasantly surprised by the freshness of the Hook, and the G&G Classic never disappoints TEXTURE: 5/5 - the pickled red onions and celery in the Hook were perfect (plus there were nice bits of jalapeño in the bagel), and the cream cheese, lox, and capers combo of the G&G Classic are a home run PRICE: 4/5 - the G&G Classic, with a full serving of lox, is one of the most expensive items on the menu SERVING SIZE: 5/5 - they put a lot of love into these portions. My brunch cravings are always satisfied ATMOSPHERE: 4/5 - only window service at their Roslindale kitchen location TAKEOUT: 4/5 - today seemed to be a slow Sunday, which worked in our favor. FYI: the majority of the time, the Everywhere and Everything bagels sell out extremely quick! PARKING: 4/5 - no parking available on McCraw St, but I'm usually able to find a spot nearby on Belgrade Ave read more

Tried this place this morning and heading back tomorrow morning. Best breakfast bagel around.

Good bagels, but small and expensive. $30 for a dozen (not a baker's dozen) no cream cheese included.

Exodus is consistent. It's been more than 4 years since I last had a bagel from here and it delivers. The one thing this time: I asked for light on the cream cheese and I literally got enough cream cheese for three bagels. It's not a deal breaker but just be cautious and maybe ask for it on the side. I'll try that next time. Crispy, lighthearted bagels that are really just excellent!! read more

Love exodus and their bagels are great, but had to take off a star because their online ordering system is so bad. Exodus bagels is one of the only bagel shops in Boston that I actually, genuinely enjoy. It's always a "yes" as opposed to most other places where I debate if it's worth the subpar bagel experience and wasted calories. For anyone who's read my reviews of other bagel places, I'm pretty harsh and picky, so this means a lot haha No, they're not NY bagels, but they are soft, chewy and flavorful. They also have a nice assortment of bagel and cream cheese flavors, which they apply quite generously. Online ordering is also clutch to avoid waiting. Minus one star for: - hours (closed Monday/Tuesday and only open until 1pm other days) - it's not uncommon for them to run out of bagels well before 1pm, therefore kinda cutting their hours short. Bagels start running out usually by 10am, sometimes earlier - bagels aren't cut in half....why? read more

Love the food, great job. Service/customer experience isn't close to being on par with the food. With the limited menu and all the tech that the restaurant industry has now I can't understand why the service is so poor. I've been 3 times, 1 great experience, one too slow and the one today was pathetic. Again, I'm a fan of the food but if you don't fix the service.... E.g. do you want people at the pick-up window giving their names or their order number or maybe (for some unknown reason both!?!). I watched a father cancel his order because he couldn't wait any longer with his young child. Every order I watched with coffee didn't have the coffee, caused more back and forth and a longer wait to get the coffee. My order took 35 mins... although I was told it was being wrapped at min 20. IMO, in today's world great food without great service doesn't last. I'm rooting for you to get this fixed. read more

Was looking to explore a new bagel spot and was glad to have found this one! I got the monumental with onion bagel toasted, added avocado and bacon, and substituted the plain cream cheese with scallion cream cheese (high recommend!). This bagel sandwich west stuffed very well in all the flavors mixed so well together. Although it ended up being like a $12-$13 bagel sandwich, it was worth trying. The added ingredients were a bit pricey to me, especially for the price of adding bacon :(! Parking is on the street but wasn't too bad to find a spot. It helped that I ordered ahead of time so I can just arrive and pick it up and go. Their location is tucked in a side street and they have a window for pick up and order. I would definitely recommend if you'd like to splurge a bit on a breakfast sandwich! Oh also the staff here was very nice and welcoming! read more

Exodus has the best bagels ever. Seriously. I love that they have vegan bagels that taste delicious and lots of vegan add ons that are not just the standard offerings. For someone who might miss eating fish, the carrot lox is a close flavor note! Personally not my thing but I can see how it would be good. But.. the best thing here isn't even the bagels.. I'm serious. A bagel shop that has something better than bagels? YES. Stop whatever you're doing and go try their chocolate chip cookies. It's the best chocolate chip cookie ever. I've spent years trying to perfect the chocolate chip cookie, getting kind of close, only to go mostly vegan and have to start all over again without success. These cookies are vegan and you would never know! Not that knowing something is vegan changes anything, but as a former dairy head you do not miss anything in these. They are crispy on the edges, gooey but cooked through on the inside, with delicious chocolate and generous Maldon or flaky salt on top. I swear I used to have friends mail me these cookies when I lived 3000 miles away. I think about them all the time (maybe I have a sweet tooth..) but seriously they are sooo good. I even was talking about these cookies somewhere out of state in the Spring and a stranger overhead me and approached me to say "the cookies at Exodus bagels? OMG they are the best." I felt so understood in cookie appreciation. read more
