Lots of good choices, arrived mid morning.

Breakfast sandwiches are excellent. Choice of bread and fillings ( egg, cheese, ham, sausage, bacon). Donuts are excellent. Choice of donuts and some pastries such as turnovers and muffins. Friendly people at the counter and in cafe.

After 2 years of missing their open hours and full parking, I finally got to try Anna's. It wasn't busy...probably because this is the hottest January 11th (going to be mid-60's) in recent memory. They are cash only. Helpfully, they do have an ATM there. The facilities were clean. I bought 4 donuts-- honey dipped, chocolate honey dipped, jelly stick, and cream filled. I did like the cream filled. The jelly stick had an unusual nuance-- almost like a slight rosemary accent (probably just me). The other 2 were ok. I think my high expectations probably factored into my review. I'm glad that I did finally get to try them.

Pros: -Nice people -Great diner vibe Cons: -Maybe just a fluke, but the Boston Cream I ordered today tasted inexplicably like lemon inside, which was not what I was hoping for. Not sure if their standard vanilla cream has a hit of lemon or they made a mistake/didn't clean the piping tips.

They basically have coffee, donuts, and egg sandwiches. I thought the prices were a tad high but I needed my caffeine fix.

Average donuts - at best. Some were quite dry and they were not inexpensive. Would not go again.

Nothing special here. Lowest commitments denominator donuts. You can do better elsewhere.

Old school donut shop that's been in West Roxbury my entire life. There's nothing fancy about it but it serves consistently great donuts.

Service was awesome. The smoothies were really good. My sandwich was good too. I liked the bread and the cheese. I thought it would be grilled for some reason but I must have been confused with the menu. I ate half the sandwich and saved the other half to eat at the airport. It not only held up well, it tasted even better. It was 1:30pm on a Monday and the place was packed! It's a well-oiled machine!

First, the menu is extensive, like Cheesecake Factory extensive. If you like Mediterranean inspired food with ridiculously good bakery items that caters easily to those who are gluten free, vegetarian or vegan, do not miss this place. He got the Israeli breakfast sub vegan kofta kebabs for the tuna and I got the vegetable shakshuka. The Israeli plate is a cornucopia of items, the pics don't do it justice. The plate was bigger than his head. He was in heaven, mmmmm-ing and ohhhing as he ate. I had the shakshuka. Now, I make this at home and have eaten it at numerous restaurants. I know good shakshuka. It was divine. The perfect amount of heat, eggs were properly runny, and the veggies were a perfect balance of crunch and spring. An espresso vanilla bean hurricane, was a delightful addition to the rest of our lunch. Service was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The cafe interior was utilitarian and well maintained. The staff delivering food were attentive to other guests needs as they walked by. All in all, excellent food and experience. I look forward to returning.
