Oh baby!!! Love me a good sandwich and they did not dissapoint! It's hard for me not to love a good sub so of course they get 5 stars. The restaurant itself was incredibly clean, and I like how they have an area to sit down and also a little store if you wanted to get some other stuff. Service was great too, they got the food out quickly and were nice. Last note, I'm also a hots-in-the-sandwich kinda guy and their hots banged. Neroli is one of my favorite Italian lunch spots outside of Boston. If you are looking for a quick bite to eat you can sit down in the cafe area or order ahead and take to go. I love the custom salads which offer a ton of fresh ingredient options and different meats and cheeses. The Italian sub and the hot honey chicken cutlet sub are both really good as well. They offer pre made meals that you can take home and heat up as well. The inside gives off cool, small hometown Italian market vibes. read more

I ordered chicken parm and pasta for "20 people". Very important party. They sent 15 chicken parms. How do you explain to 20 adults that you need to split a few of the chicken breasts because you don't have enough? Food was very good. Not sure where the disconnect is. I can't necessarily speak on the food but the mercato part. Mercato means market in Italy. When I drove past it and saw mercato I insisted on my husband turning around and going into the store, I imagine, freshly baked bread, olives, fresh, mozzarella,burrata, biscotti, rossana candy you know an Italian market. What I saw was a sub shop. I asked if they sold prosciutto di Parma by the pound and how much was it per pound, they said yes, they did, but they didn't know the price, so evidently this is not a typical way to purchase prosciutto. While I waited for them to cut the meat, I walked around, nothing that isn't sold at Roche Brothers. Unimpressed, however, wait staff and counter was super nice. Call it neroli sandwich shop or take out but a mercato it is not. read more

Very disappointed with our prepared food purchase today. We bought the eggplant parmigiana and chicken parmigiana. The sauce was very watery, the chicken was mostly dark meat and the cheese was one small size of mozzarella on each entree. This was our first time buying from Neroli and sorry to say it will be our last. read more

They've been using chicken thighs to save money for their chicken cutlets. Chicken breast when reheated will not change the color of the meat. I used to buy the cutlets in bulk for sandwiches and salads but lately when you reheat them, the meat is hot pink everywhere and much tougher. It's cheap and non traditional. You can tell something has changed. The rest of their prepared meals are far, far too expensive to buy for takeaway. If they tasted exceptional, maybe it would be worth the cost, but they're not sadly. Another review mentioned their sauce was watery, I thought the same thing. The chicken cutlets were the only good deal. But unfortunately they're no good anymore. The attention to detail and product variety of the storefront is nice, and their service is always great. read more

Excellent new Italian deli/ grocery. Excellent Italian meats Boars head quality and others. I stopped in and nice spacious deli with some seating. Nice selection of Italy focus groceries. Beer and wines . The Italian sandwich I ordered was fresh, large size and really 2 meals. The Manhattan sod drinks I liked the Sasprilla I didn't see any bags of chips, but maybe I missed this time. Need a dessert case with some Italian cannolis, tiramisu, etc. maybe some Italian roast coffees, cappuccino after meal drinks. The take home prepared pastas and meatball looked appetizing and reasonable take home dinner. I see a great addition to Islington section of Westwood. Plenty of parking on street or in rear of building with easy rear entrance... I hope they expand out store further with more items and options. Great Italian specialty deli. Stopped in here today for the second time and ordered the chicken cutlet sub, based on staff recommendations, and it was delicious. Great soft crusty bread, super thin cutlets, and fresh basil. Also ordered the 3 arancini they had on hand, veggie, beef and wild mushroom. These are not your st Anthony street fest arancini, these were perfectly fried, with a creamy, fully stuffed inside. They had a pretty big selection of holiday cakes and candy too. I want to love this place so much. It's almost like a little suburban Eataly. I've ordered the Italian sandwich twice and it's been inconsistent. The first time it was awesome and flavorful and the second time it was so dry. When I went in today with my husband, we, and many other patrons, were so confused about the service. There's a sign for where to order right in front of the deli counter, but at the counter you're ignored and there's not one designated person taking orders. There's a register at the deli counter but you don't pay until the end? It took about 25 minutes for our one sandwich order. My husband ordered a mini cannoli and they leave the shells out so they don't get soggy. Which is fine because it should be filled to order... except when we went to pay, we realized they didn't even fill the cannoli shell... so we had to bring the empty shell back to the counter to get it filled and we were ignored again for at least 5 minutes -- after paying. No one else was waiting to be seen and many people walked behind the counter just ignoring us. I'm typically so gracious when it comes to service but there is no clear order here and no one is really doing quality control even though everyone working appears to be brand new. read more
