I normally love to eat here and the food is typically what you would expect at any Panera, few time have I been disappointed by the food alone. HOWEVER, they have been letting this strange man sit in the corner the restaurant and me and my family have had the unfortunate timing of seeing him twice now and each time he harasses us. last time was a few weeks ago, or so. He doesn't even buy anything either, not that I would typically care either, but he is such a hostile and threatening creep that I honestly don't feel comfortable eating here anymore with my family. Someone needs to take care of him! like, kick him out for good maybe?. The first time I complained about him cursing at us, I saw him again (months later) and he made a point to stare down me AND my YOUNG daughter, never breaking eye contact, not even once. For an hour or so, he did this, as we ate our 50 dollar meal together. He is a bigger guy, I'm sure you might know the one. I can't be the only one he has made uncomfortable, or worse. He verbally harassed us the first time. It was a few weeks ago I had to see him again, unfortunately. He made it is whole purpose to ensure my whole family was extremely uncomfortable the entire time. It is just one guy in particular..100% the same guy as the first time. Again, normally I wouldn't care.. BUT it's worth mentioning he does this AND doesn't even buy anything. I truly wouldn't care if he was not like this. I think that's the real issue, is that he thinks he can be some sort of ogre in the corner of the booths, immediately irritated if anyone sits in his vicinity, or just angry at the whole world. Okay seriously, this is the THIRD time i've gotten my Order ruined by you guys. I let it slide the first time but this location has put me in a situation to leave a review... Honestly the WORST Panera on this side of the Mississippi River. Not only is parking always a hassle, but, the store is always a mess. Bread crumbs on the table and cups and food are left out in the main lounge. Everytime you come here you will wait a minimum of 20-25 Minutes for your food. Which usually isnt an issue but with wait times like this the drive thru floods the parking lot and makes things ridiculous. All of this could be forgiveable but lastly come to find out when i ordered a simple "Tomato soup/ Grilled cheese combo" i end up with a chicken turkey club sandwich with heavy mayo. GUESS WHAT? I'm allergic to mayo. I didnt even find out until i got home because of the stupid way they package their items with a sticker. Honestly i'm fed up, avoid this Panera at all costs. The employee I asked to get the cup stared at me blankly even after I repeated myself a few times and even elaborated on the situation. She literally stood there and stared at me for a very uncomfortable amount of time until another man walked over and just passed me a cup with no words. I got a sandwich and the bread was nearly ripped in half making all the ingredients spill everywhere not to mention it was DROWNING In Mayo... seriously spilling out in puddles all over the plate I couldn't even see the ingredients just mayo. Unfortunately the last few times I have come to this establishment has been less than acceptable. The most recent time we came to check out their new bagel Asiago sandwich. There was only one car ahead of us in the drive thru so we were able to order quickly. The woman taking the order was very friendly. We asked for substitution of one of the steak sandwiches to turkey. 3 bagel sandwiches and a cup of cheddar broccoli soup ($30), which was the pick 2 (2 orders). 2 of the sandwiches were steak and the one turkey with the bread on the side. The sandwiches did not look like what it is pictured, barely any purple onions or arugula, heavy on the sauce, and slim on the meat. The extra bread was like a few days old bread (very dry). The soup was extra thick (it may have been old as well). Well I had severe stomach issues afterwards (which I would say was either caused by the turkey or the soup) seeing as though my husband and son didn't have the same issues. Days later and my stomach still has not fully recovered. The sight of food from the restaurant makes me nauseous. That tells you everything you need to know. I mean, is it really that hard to put the order in for 1 panini, 1 crossaint, 1 bagel and 2 cups of coffee? Well Friday was Bosses Day and I stopped by the one near my office for bagels that morning. Yeah - I understand you can order online, too and that they may have had other orders they were working on before mine. oh how scrump diddly!!! I've loved Panera bread since I was a little youngling. I always get their kids Mac n cheese because it's the perfect portion for my food bag in my belly. I think I got lucky when I pulled into the drive-thru. There was no line to the point that I wondered if they were even open. But they were and the person who took our order was friendly and welcoming. I ordered the turkey avocado BLT and broccoli cheddar soup. My husband got the chicken chipotle avocado melt. I'll never go back not just because the walk in is closed and your forced to do the drive thru, and not because a salad is $12, which I'm fine paying for if it's good, fresh, and quality but the food is no longer any of the mentioned. I like the fact that it's a drive through, but we paid about $67 for three PICK 2 meals. All three came with chicken sandwiches that barely had any chicken in it. It was mostly cheese and sauce. I've been sitting in this drive thru since 11:20, it's now 11:58. Haven't even ordered my food yet. Getting concerned I called the inside and asked what's up. They said they are short staffed so everything is slow today. Here's a hint Panera, either close the drive thru or close the dining room. Horrible customer service. I was served by Jasmin this morning on 3/15/21 and she definitely cares nothing about her job. Not only she was not welcoming and friendly, she took my order without looking at me in my eyes and repeatedly asked me what I said. She seems like she hated her job and didn't want to deal with anybody kind of attitude. After I paid for my order, she did not give me my receipt nor my order number. I have to go up and ask for my receipt. After I received my coffee, she left the cashier and told her co-worker that she needs to step out. She pulled out her phone and stepped outside the venue. You can totally tell how motivated she was. I am a loyal customers of Panera and loved the quality of food and people. This experience I had at this location in Murrieta really disappointed me. Poor customer service really give Panera's brand image a bad reputation in terms of hiring and training. Panera really need to evaluate these problems and qualify of staff. read more
