Mistakes happen I get it. The manager fixed that issue that day. However the reason I'm writing this review is they advertise their new items. I went to try something new on their menu. When I asked to order it they said that they were sorry and that they didn't have any of them prepped. When I asked is it an item you only have on certain days like their soups, to which he responded no it just depends if someone preps it or not. If it's not prepped then put a paper over it on the menu or make it on certain days if the staff can't prep it everyday? What's the point of even having new things advertised. read more

So I suspect this is likely shame on me as possibly I should have heeded the rumblings I've heard about the Panera Bread on 105 in Montgomery but last night I bought a salad from there through the drive thru. The lettuce was truly sub par - going bad with actual brown rot in some cases. When I got home I called and Brenden who answered the phone spent the beginning of the call telling me I was wrong about the lettuce. Not the best way to start. Long story short, in order to receive any recompense I had to bring the salad back to Panera and Brenden was just as delightful in person as he was on the phone. I got my $12 back and found something else for dinner somewhere else. My host was Randle and he did an awesome job of taking care of me and my weird sandwich request! I recently had jaw surgery so this is my first sandwich and it had to be fabulous or it wasn't going in my mouth. He made me a Black Forest ham Gouda on toasted baguette then we added turkey AND bacon! Randle also recommended that we join the Panera club. I did it right at the register and was eligible for a free huge cinnamon roll because my birthday is on Saturday. My Mom and I went here for dinner on 4/8/25. We had gift cards from Christmas, otherwise, we probably wouldn't ever have gone thanks to the reviews seen here. However, we both ended up being pleasantly surprised. We walked in with apprehension and gave the restaurant a once over to check for cleanliness, and found everything to be perfectly fine and in order. The employee that took our order was nice and our food came out exactly as ordered: I got the You Pick Two (half fontega chicken sandwich with no tomato and half chicken Cesar salad) and my Mom got a half Asian Sesame Chicken Salad. There were absolutely no issues with any of it; everything tasted great and fresh. Our entrees had ample chicken, toppings, and dressings. The only reason I'm not giving this restaurant a perfect 5 stars is because the tables probably stand to be replaced thanks to some light staining. This has to be the worst location of a Panera that I've ever been to. It started with the girl at the register when we came in to order. While I realize it's hard to find good workers these days, she neither smiled or seemed at all friendly. This is the customer's first encounter with someone at your establishment. She was horrible. The food was mediocre. Nothing like I remember the Panera of days past. I went to the ladies room and no hot water came out. The lone sink looked like they had taken it from an abandoned farmhouse or something like that. It looked 50 years old with all the 50 years of dirt on it. It was disgusting. I asked to speak to a manager- surely it's against code to not have running hot water in a bathroom? She seems so unconcerned or interested in hearing my viewpoint or experience at her location. Whenever I've ordered fir pickup and they' were out of something, they were very accommodating and apologetic. I realize sometimes things won't be in stock but we are in unusual times. Today, I ordered 2 small mac & cheese bowls (the bowl is literally no bigger than my fist), a sweet tea, and a coffee, and my total was $18. I didn't initially mind the price because I have always loved Panera's dishes and found them worth it. BUT the MAJOR ISSUE I'm reviewing about IS THE INSECT BODY PART that was found in the cheese. After finishing my bowl, my boyfriend and I looked down to find an insect leg in the cheese. And no, before you think it (because initially, I did), this insect did not come from the outside because I was inside the entire time the container was opened. Sorry to read about some unpleasant experiences... Good, healthy food is not sitting under a heat lamp waiting to be served. Our experiences have been exactly the opposite. We moved to Montgomery in late May and Panera delivery really came through for us during the move week. So much so, that we order frequently now. The staff here have been friendly, helpful and efficient. We have tried several items and really enjoy that most come with that great crusty bread or a choice of another. In soups: Broccoli Cheddar, Baked Potato, Creamy Tomato and the Southwest Chicken Tortilla Bowl. In sandwiches: Steak & White Cheddar Panini and Steak & Arugula. In salads: Green Goddess Cobb Salad with Chicken, Strawberry Poppyseed Salad with Chicken, Spicy Thai Salad with Chicken and Greek Salad. And finally from baked goods we have enjoyed: Cherry & the Chocolate pastries; Cinnamon Crunch & Wild Blueberry Scones; Raspberry Almond Thumbprint & Lemon Drop Cookies; and the Double Fudge Brownie (my fav). Also tried several bagels. It was a nice touch when they were out of a bagel we ordered online - They gave us 2. Everything is always fresh, tasty and decent portion sizes. I can only say the only thing I would have changed out of all that was a little more steak on the sandwiches, a little more cucumber when it's a side added to a salad and a little more feta in those dishes. You get what you get. I order delivery from here a few times a month. Its really the only place that delivers near work. I order the same thing every time. Grilled cheese and creamy tomato soup. It seems it's really the only item they can't mess up. It's not great. It's not terrible. Any time I order something different, it's just wrong. When we told the young lady at the counter that we had difficulty with the online order and did she have any idea why, her only response was rude and short - very unfriendly. Now for the food - we ordered 2 salads and 2 sandwiches. The salads we not edible. Lettuce was not fresh at all - it was all soggy and nasty tasting. Panera advertises fresh and wholesome food. This is NOT what were served. When you pay a premium price for food you do expect a certain quality and this was terrible. Some fast food restaurants serve better quality than this. We were going to cater a small gathering with Panera but this experience has completely changed our minds. Be ware and forewarned. This place has pathetic quality and rude employees. I ordered a breakfast sandwich, asked that the egg be cooked with no runny yolk, was assured it would be thoroughly cooked. I ordered a you-pick-2, half tomato soup & half Caesar salad-- mine was admittedly right, besides the salad being miniature (even for a half, I exclusively get this order and have never had my salad be this small) and there was hardly any cheese, but it was fine. She, however, ordered the Turkey Avocado BLT and it had neither avocado or bacon.. I just.... the ingredients are literally in the name!! How? How?! I recently moved into the area where this Panera Bread is located and have ordered food using their online app several times. I've yet to be disappointed with either the food or the service from here. One item I find myself ordering every time is their broccoli cheddar Mac & cheese. It has a very creamy cheese sauce and the broccoli brings lots of flavor. All the sandwiches and salads I've had from there have been fresh and as good as expected. The flatbread pizzas need some work though. They taste good, but lack the cheese you would expect. My only real complaint is the price of the food. It's very easy for two people to spend $30.00 or more on deli fare. Overall this location is fast, convenient and offers decent food. Okay so I frequent Panera in Montgomery off of 105. There have been numerous times that I have been in and they are out of numerous things. It happened again today when I went in there. Currently, there are members of staff, as well as one I believe to be a manager on duty, sitting down in the lobby on their phones and laughing astoundingly loud. This is not the first time this has happened, in fact I have changed where I sit if I am going to be in the lobby for a period of time because it always seems to occur. Like I stated they are very loud and stating obscenities. This is very unprofessional and causes a bad look for the establishment. I hope this issue gets fixed. read more

These guys are making us crazy. We love their SW Salad with Chicken and several of their soups, and we'd order takeout at least twice a week. BUT they can't seem to keep anything in stock - today they're out of LETTUCE. So we'll go somewhere else, again. Two weeks in a row, three of the last five, we couldn't get what we wanted. And, we're not talking foie gras here, we're talking LETTUCE, or Corn Chowder, or Tortilla Soup. Yes, we realize times are tough, and we're lucky they have anything at all. In regard to the negative comments about food and drink quality, you must first understand that Panera is simply overpriced hospital food and is microwaved for the most part. In regard to orders being messed up or poor customer service, their staff consists of teenagers that won't ask for anything above minimum wage. The only saving grace for this establishment is Kimberly/Kimmy, she properly cleans equipment, is kind to all customers, actually makes sure that things get done efficiently. Awful... Ordered 3 bagels toasted with cream cheese, 1 vanilla latte and 2 mocha lattes. Not a difficult order. Received 1 toasted bagel with cream cheese.,2 bagels, not toasted, no cream cheese and no knives, 1 vanilla latte as ordered and 2 regular lattes, not mochas as ordered.
