I called ahead a couple of times and did not get an answer, so I just drove down to Deacon Baldy's. When I arrived, the owner mentioned that he never answers out-of-state area codes because it's usually spam. But the good news is that my food came out super quick anyway, so if you are going to call ahead, you may not want to leave too much time before you show up. I ordered the Misteak and I have to say that it was a Top 10 burger I've ever eaten. Maybe higher. After one visit, I already know that I will definitely be taking friends and family here when they come over because it was such an unbelievably perfect thing. I also ordered the corn salad, not because I necessarily would have normally chosen such a thing, but it was unique and a review highlight. I have to admit, it was an excellent pairing for my amazing burger and would recommend checking it out. Thanks Wiches on Wheels for being great at burger-making! I ask a few questions to the guy about suggestions because it's our first time here. He tells me that I should get the jalapeño burger and get it the way it comes. I take his word for it. She gets the burger with the egg and has brown I think it was the sun ride burger. I don't know nothing besides those were the best burgers I've ever had in my life. He gave me free tots because I couldn't decide on fries or tots. The burgers were so well seasoned, the sauce on the burgers makes you want to slap yo mama! Everything was so damn good I want to walk back up there just to say thanks. Please go and try this place out. It might change your life.

I also ordered baked beans, mashed potatoes and green beans as sides. I could have ordered half of that and still had leftovers. Nothing necessarily stood out as great. The green beans were pretty subpar - they tasted like they were straight out of a can. The baked beans were unimpressive. I think everything else ranged from decent to pretty tasty. But the best thing about this place was that a mountain of food was had for $102. We all could have eaten at least two full meals from this amount of food. Would it have been much more delicious if it had come from Killen's? Absolutely. It also would have cost twice as much. This is an incredibly small and humble operation, so I was glad to support them. If you're looking for bang for you buck in Montgomery, this is a good choice.

THAT is the only reason for the one star. Such a shake because we would gavw gladly made the drive from old Magnolia to enjoy a delicious burger or hot dog! We have decided not to return.
