Firstly I'd like to state initially when I walked in I noticed that Jim the manager was on the floor taking orders and helping staff. as most of us who have worked in food service know most managers do not step in and assist when needed. When I arrived back home after picking up my rapid order I realized a sandwich was missing. when I called I spoke with Jim who apologized and informed me of a few options we had. Might just be the worst Panera Bread in New York. Walk-in with two people online ahead of me, yet it took 12 minutes for someone to take my order. After placing my order I was informed there was no baguettes. The workers were very focused on the fact that a camp called to say they would be coming in and 20 minutes and they needed to prepare. When looking for a place to sit MANY tables were covered with crumbs, and dirty napkins. I do not recommend coming to this location. read more

I come to this place once every two weeks since i'm in the area for work. The only reason i'm writing this is because of how SLOW they are. doesn't matter what time. 12:30-3pm is when i'm here and i always do an o line order and it's always 10 mins after the time they said it would be done making me have to stand inside for my order. I even started waiting in my car when I get here just to give them more time but it's seeming like it's taking longer and longer and there's no difference in employees or how many customers are in the store. not a single online order done while i'm standing here waiting for my own with two other people taking up space. in covid times you'd think they would get it going to ensure all these people aren't waiting here. After finishing my soup, I wanted to get some cream cheese to spread on my roll. I got up and realized how long the line was. I waited 5 weeks before writing this one star review, hoping they would get their act together. They still can't get the espresso machine working to get a simple chai latte after freakin 5 weeks!!!! If I could leave zero stars, I would. I made a big order on September 16th to be delivered on September 30th at 7am for my wedding. They emailed a confirmation the night before so I thought everything was fine. 5 minutes before our order was supposed to arrive, Panera called to tell me they weren't coming since they didn't have anyone to put my order together. I asked if they could at least just bring the bagels and coffee, and they said no they were working with a skeleton crew. He said they would refund my money and the manager would be In touch to issue me a $50 gift card. It has been 3 days since, and I still haven't heard anything from them. They left myself, the bride, and my entire bridal party without food and coffee on the biggest day of my life. Luckily one of the bridesmaids husbands went out to a local bagel shop and picked up food, a major inconvenience to him as it should've been taken care of by Panera. read more

I have been coming to this Panera since they opened. It is in a great location, conveniently located near all the shopping centers. I have stopped coming as often because the service has gone significantly down. My salads come out often with no dressing or the wrong items on top, and they always come in different portion size. I have decided to write a review of this panera bread because I actually went to a 5 star panera bread in Connecticut. This panera bread is ok. I do not like wet paninis. I have received soggy bread multiple times. You get the feeling that behind the counter is a little disorganized. I've gotten my meal messed up a couple times, cashiers run to give hugs to a customer they know when there is a line. Totally unprofessional and downright rude at times. read more

I was traveling home and decided to grab a lunch here. I waited almost 20 minutes for my soup and sand which. Then I waited about 10 minutes for someone to get me a to go box for my food that I couldn't finish. The customer service here was not the best, but the food was okay. There's no doubt how great Panera Bread is. They say the secret to their great sandwiches is: simple, but quality ingredients. Something that I can never replicate at home. I haven't had one thing that I didn't like at Panera Bread. The reason I have 4 stars is that, like the other reviewer had said, this place is packed with people during its peak hours. People that use their Macbooks and not leave. On top of that, I think the portions are too small. I usually get the pick 2's--a sandwich and a soup, but I usually end up wanting a little bit more. Posting this because there is so much competition where to go and eat..... visitors the Panera in Middletown NY midweek on a Tuesday afternoon. Got a take out order with an approximate total of $45. Visitors the women's restroom while waiting for the order and was so disturbed.... The restroom was very dirty, tissues all over the place, toilets were gross, sink and even the soap dispenser was really a mess! And the best part when I got home with the food, the sandwiches were apart, did not take the time to wrap them properly.., management needs to do better.... read more

Their food is usually ok and sometimes very good. Hit or miss depends who is on the pannini machine. This location gets swamped and both lunch and dinner and that rush is compounded by the coffee drinkers with their computer spread over three tables. Serious, free wifi is great but don't ruin it for all of us when they shut it down to turn tables. Use it while you eat but if it gets packed maybe you can "downsize" to a single table or go across the street to Starbucks. Quite honestly, this place doesn't even deserve one star, but since Im forced to do so, so be it. Let's start with the long and labored checkout. Terrible! My half salad was so small & had rotten Romaine lettuce in it & Fuji dehydrated apple Thin slices... Approximately 7 if you can count 1/2 " x 1/2" pieces.... I did the pick 2 getting a tiny container of onion soup... The only delicious TINY part of the Pick 2! The apple I received was so tiny, I should have picked chips. My kids wanted mac&cheese so i drove to Panera in Middletown.I was in line and the server pointed to the person behind me and said next,i didn't pay him any attention and walked up and placed my order.I go on to line number 2 to pick up my order and I'm watching this nasty cook ripping the bread by hand instead of cutting it with a knife, turned my stomach. Food is always good but the bathrooms were dirty and there was no ice in the ice machine by the beverage station. This was my second visit in the past 3 weeks and the same conditions were present then. These things, especially the bathrooms, should be checked on more frequently. read more

Rude staff , nearly always the order is not complete, portions are very much less than other branches when it comes to salads , if you order extra chicken you have to always argue with them that its not there and you have to show your bag piece by piece to prove to them that is not there , salads dressing are often forgotten and you have to argue about that too like your trying to steal more salad dressing , yet food is always good, i hope the can get a better staff read more

Delicious soups and sandwiches for lunch coupled with great coffee and desserts. I like being able to use my laptop to catch up on emails when I am on the road. Clean dining area and rest rooms. Great selection of breads and desserts. I suggest getting there a few minutes before the normal lunch crowd to avoid waiting on line. I also like that they wipe down the tables frequently between customers. Great spot to meet clients, stop in for coffee or hang out with a few friends for lunch. Food upholds Panera Bread high standards however this particular franchise is small and chaotic with poor customer service. Went at 1 o'clock (passed rush hour) and still couldn't find any place to sit. We were charged an incorrect amount (full price for what should have been a 99 cent pastry add on to a meal). They also forgot part of our food and we had to go up and ask for the rest of our order. I suggest getting food to go and checking your receipt/ food for accuracy before leaving. read more

I went into Panera to grab a quick meal. When walked in I saw the line extremely long because there was only one cashier. I finally got my order taken and I went to grab my food. I waited over 30 minutes for my food; people who had ordered after me were already receiving their food. As I was waiting I noticed the only working waitress eating at the same time she was serving seated customers. I also noticed that she took the time to socialize with coworkers. After almost 45 minutes of waiting for my food I got into my car and opened what was the wrong sandwich. I went back inside to get the correct sandwich. After I spoke with the manager and employee starting cursing at the manager and the manager did nothing about it; it almost seemed like she was scared of him!
