We have been to this Panera a few times always thinking it will be better next time; it has not been better. I am not wasting any more time and money at this Panera's. sandwiches lack flavor and care in the making. There are too many other places to get food. Of course the items that are pre-made are ok but my expectations for anything else is very low. I love Panera bread. This one is so bad you don't even think you're at Panera. Just went in at 8am, I was the third person in line to ask for an egg soufflé... they were all out of them and didn't have any in the oven. At 9am they are always out of bagels. Have been for 10 years. Asiago cheese is the only full bin. I can forecast the store with my eyes closed in the morning. I know they don't have anything. I've called various times to complain, but the two ladies who run this place have no clue what's going on. Their store only does well because of the location, but could be so much better. read more

I only ordered two items. One was broccoli cheddar soup. When I got home, I realized that I had potato soup. When I called to speak to someone, the recorded message asked me to try again during less busy times. I waited and tried again only to get a fast busy signal after listening to the choices. I tried again, and pressed a different option, once again fast busy signal. I live 20 minutes away, so I did not wish to return today. I was disappointed that I was unable to speak directly to anyone on the phone. Finally able to get through. They will make it right and give me a cookie for my trouble. Thank you! I really like the food this chain serves, but this particular Panera is always so slow and understaffed. It's clean inside, and the ambiance is nice. Usually finding a seat isn't an issue, but again, the staff really is slow. I've stood in line here for a good 10 minutes when there are very few customers in line. Stopped by here a few days ago in the afternoon to pick up our favorite cinnamon crunch bagels for breakfast...sorry, we are out of bagels??? Really? Headed out first thing this morning for breakfast bagels... sorry, we don't have hazelnut spread, would you like honey walnut? Yes please. (Then, after a search of all possible hiding places in the store) sorry, we're out of honey walnut, is plain okay? Seriously? Also, cobblestones were conspicuously absent. The Arizona Paradise Bakery to Panera transition doesn't seem to be working so well. Fortunately there are a couple of other Paneras in this area so we'll keep trying to find a cinnamon crunch w/hazelnut, cobblestone, hazelnut coffee dispensary that meets the standards we've enjoyed from Panera for the past 15 years. read more

I ordered delivery and was told 2:10 delivery time. I called at 2:35 and was told food was not even prepared yet and wouldn't be delivered until a driver returned. Told the manager I wanted to cancel my order which he did with an I could care less attitude. No apologies from him for the poor service. I see now why they have a 2 star review rating. read more

I ordered through Dash and was told about half an hour. Here it is a 1 1/2 and still waiting. There is no way to track the order and no one gives updates. I called the customer service number half an hour ago and was told it was on its way. No apologies or anything and again I am still waiting. If you are going to use Dash and other third parties for delivery give us updates on our orders. This is just poor service. read more

Absolutely horrible. Paradise was standard in our favorite places to eat, but the assimilation into Panera has ruined it. 1. All the prices went up, a lot 2. meals no longer come with cookies 3. The excellent tomato bisque was replaced by a depressing tomato soup 4. Constantly get my order wrong,usually forgetting our cookies in the drive thru 5. no longer have kids drinks for $1. 6. my favorite salad the one with bleu cheese and sun flower seeds is gone. 7. I enjoy this resturant. Their food is consistant, they always greet me and say "Welcome to Paradise!" when I walk in. I only gave it 4 stars because it does tend to be a bit pricey. Also, there is a paradise card, you receive credits for each purchase. I have had associates not ring up my card first, therefore I do not get my points and the managers cannot add them on later. Overall it is great, nice atmosphere and friendly people. I would recommend. read more

This place is grossly under staffed and the one cashier they do have has one speed - reverse! Never seen anything like it. They have self service kiosks so they can keep minimal staff, but that doesn't work when buying packages baked goods. read more

The food is now pretty substandard, the service is much slower than what is generally expected, and the pastries that once defined Paradise Bakery are pretty bland and limited. I'm a huge fan of the desserts & the mac n cheese but it's not a huge value. We went recently & I believe have been bought out by Panera. They were out of items & everyone was scrambling although there were few customers inside; It felt rushed & that there were major changes happening behind the scenes. I use to go here all the time when I was in college for the free WiFi & calm environment but they better bring their A-game when they open as Panera especially with a kneaders & Starbucks within a short driving distance. read more

My favorite location! Service is always great, food is always good and fresh. It is usually pretty quiet and has a nice little outdoor area to eat which is great this time of year. My favorite is the crumbly blue cheese salad. The italian sandwich is also a favorite, it always has tons of meat. The restaurant always looks very clean and the cookies are usually fresh. Very disappointed as I went in to get food the other night. Paid for a full Mac & cheese, and upon returning home realized it was only a half. also ordered their chicken southwest salad & there were NO tortilla strips, which frankly is the only reason I drove out to Paradise. Tried searching the Internet for a customer service line & it is not in service. Totally unprofessional if you ask me. They charge way too much for the rip offs they incur on their customers. I love their blueberry oats in the morning, I got them yesterday and they were AMAZING! I got them again today and they were terrible. Normally they have cinnamon crusted granola with maple walnuts on top with blueberries and it's great, today I had 4 blueberries and 4 plain walnuts. It was super disappointing, this isn't the first time the food has been very inconsistent. I completely agree with Roger S.! Although this is a chain restaurant, that's not the feeling you get when you step in. First off - the place is spotless. Everyone is genuinely friendly and helpful. The manager, Anaya, is always visible and talking with customers. The food is ALWAYS fresh and I have yet to try something I don't like (the California Turkey is my favorite!). So, just about $15 for half chicken sandwich and french onion soup, regular ice tea and a cookie. But I left hungry. There was a mere tablespoon of chicken filling on my sandwich and even a weird little spread of lettuce not even an inch of lettuce. Felt ripped off. Even the order taker looked like she would rather be doing something else or be somewhere elseinstead of delightfully engaging a customer. Yes they talked to me but it was kind of blase'. Zero people working there asked me how it was. They have kind of an avoidance customer strategy seemed. Even the furniture in the middle of the room at the Ice-T counter had drawers falling down. Either they're overworked or don't care seem like to me. Beware you just can't seem to get full there or hearty meals they had no potato soup on them in you that's a staple at most places that serve half a sandwich. Needs better management. I received a gift card to Panera as a Christmas present and I finally decided to use it yesterday. I had not been to Panera for at least 4 or 5 years so I had no idea what was on the menu these days. I saw that they had chicken salad, my favorite type of sandwich filling! The lady at the counter was helpful in filling me in on my options and prices, and I went with half a chicken salad sandwich on molasses bread with loaded potato soup. It took only minutes for my food to arrive at my outside table. I chose to eat outside because the inside had a bad smell, sort of like burnt coffee or burnt grilled cheese - eeeww! I was disappointed to find that the chicken salad tased very bland. It was creamy enough, with bite size pieces of nice white meat, and lots of walnuts. But ... that was it. There just wasn't any real flavor to it. The molasses bread was tasty enough, but it fell apart on me before I could even get half way thorugh eating the sandwich. I would say with the creaminess of the chicken salad, the bread they serve it on needs to be a bit heartier or toasted a little. I was extremely disappointed with the loaded potato soup. It was a weirdly thick soup; sort of looked like breakfast sausage gravy. It had a pungent odor, and as it turned out, it tasted just like it smelled - earthy. Sort of like someone forgot to wash off the potatoes before they put them in the pot to boil, and then they used the water they were boiled in to make the soup with. It had a bit of a kick with each bite; I suspect it was pepper. It is not at all what I would describe as loaded as far as a potato souup should go. There were a few bacon bits, but I did not taste anything like onions or cheese or sour cream. Very disappointing. My husband had the cuban sandwich and broccoli cheddar soup. He said the sandwich was just ok; he's had better such as at Village Inn. He thought the broccoli cheddar was too salty. read more

I love the bear claws, my absolute favorite snack, but today it wasnt so easy to get my snacks! The young ladies in the drive thru were very rude and abrupt with giving me my change and my food, most of my order was wrong and I didn't receive any of my drinks. After waiting at the window for 5 minutes for one of the workers to see me waiting for my drink I drove around and went inside for my drinks. I recently met a few friends here for lunch and conversation. I ordered a sandwich and salad and for the second time was very disappointed in the quality of the sandwich. The bread was stale as it had been a few months ago and there was nothing especially great about the rest of it either. The salad was limp. While their muffins are good, that is about it. I used to eat here once a week, back when they had mozzarella paninis and butternut squash soup and turkey chili. Since Panera took over, they gradually rid of all my favorite dishes and screwed up the calorie counts on everything at the restaurant (you used to be able to eat a light lunch at Paradise). When they started dropping the items, I reduced the frequencies of my visits but I continued coming for the flavorless low cal avocado blt sandwiches (hold the mayo and the numbers are almost good) and the yummy cookie. A month ago I stopped by another Paradise that had turned into a Panera. That was the straw that broke the camels back. It was terrible. If they are turning this into a Panera and are getting rid of the cookies, there is no reason for any Paradise fans to continue visiting. I don't need the cookie calories as it is, so I have stopped visiting this place. I wont take the risk that I will drive 10+ miles to find out that the sign has changed over the door. read more

I thoroughly enjoyed my food at paradise bakery. All ingredients seemed fresh, and healthy. The atmosphere was very casual, you can dine there and relax with friends as well as bring your kids. Love PB however they're pricey. I eat small portions so it's perfect for me. I love their B-Green Smoothie. Best on the planet. Food is wonderful as well as pastries and breads however as I said very pricey. My wife ordered for delivery. My account was charged 6 times for a single delivery. They reimbursed 4 of them. When we called in about it we where told we must prove that it happened. No receipt was delivered with the meal and that is what they want for proof. So we spent $56 for a salad and small sandwich to be delivered. They "manager" just said the general manager would be in tomorrow and she can't refund our order. I will NEVER order from this poorly run establishment again. read more

I really like the food at paradise bakery (my favorite is the turkey cranberry on molasses bread and the crumbly blue salad) but I can only give this location three stars because so many of the employees are just rude! They put the salads together and hand it to you without saying a word, and if you ask for extra of something they snatch the bowl back rudely and hand it back with no more than a dirty look.
