She not only told me what to do she called me back and told me she got a weird message from door dash about my order and wanted me to know that I should call them. she went out of her way to make sure I received credit for the order I placed wrong and how to reorder. i received my order and it was delicious. this Panera will be my go to from now on not only because of the delicious hood but also due to friendly staff and manager. read more

This Panera has continued to go down hill. I went in to this Panera on a Saturday morning to get a bagel. They were understaffed and it was extremely dirty. The dirtiest I think I've ever seen it. It's sad because you could tell the workers were stressed, overwhelmed and scrambling. However, I did not feel great about eating from this restaurant when I saw how dirty it was. There was trash on the floors and the floors were disgusting in plain sight of customers. Very dissatisfied - especially for the amount of money they charge for their food. This Panera is built into a shopping plaza at the Avenue of Viera. It has a vaulted ceiling but unfortunately that's the only thing that seems to be spacious about it. The seating is horrible, with tables clustered too closely together. For a place with that much foot traffic it can spell disaster. Alright, maybe not a disaster, but at least a good probabilty of someone spilling their soup on you or tripping over a pulled out chair. Other than the seating issue, the food was on par for what you'd expect at Panera. I highly recommend the Thai chicken salad. read more

I love Panera. No matter where I am, it's always a safe bet. It's my "go to" when I travel and I'm not familiar with local cuisine. Full disclosure: I'm Caucasian and my husband is Hispanic. We came to this Panera location and will never visit again. Cashier took our order and asked for my name. I replied with, "Chrissy". While waiting for our order, the staff member yells "Jose!". I saw our order on the counter, and I asked the employee to read the order. After confirming it was ours, I asked that the same employee notify the manager of how offensive the cashier was by listing our order as "Jose". We took our order to the table and ate. With palm tree landscaping, great ambiance and uniformed Security. I went there with my team members on our way to Jacksonville for a training conference. Ordered ahead and it was ready on time. Went downhill from there. I had ordered 2 Mediterranean sandwiches with no feta and on one of them added avocado and Gouda. Also ordered a cup of tomato soup and as a bonus I received a free blueberry scone. Picked up my Rapid Order and brought it home. Opened up the sandwiches to find one regular Mediterranean and one tuna on some sort of stale flat bread. Immediately called and spoke with Brody who offered me a voucher or he would remake the missing sandwich and I could drive back to the restaurant to get it. I politely requested a refund which he agreed to and processed it rather quickly. The tuna sandwich on the mysterious stale flat bread - not sure what it was - but it was awful. I saved it's true owner from the torture of eating that poor excuse for a sandwich. The rest of my order was below the usual Panera standard. They had an hours notice for my order and managed to screw it up, included an apple which had black spots all over it and a free blueberry scone which must have been made by a baker on their first day. All I could taste was flour and salt. Extremely disappointed! Definitely not the same Panera which became famous fast for having good food. While it it not the best Panera Bread we have been to -- it is not that bad either. And yes it can get busy because it is located in a busy area. Sometimes, I wonder why we come here for coffee. Either the dark roast or light roast is lukewarm. Who wants to have to microwave their coffee in order to get it hot? Not I! If you ask for a new, hot carafe of coffee, first you get Attitude then after a few minutes' wait, you finally get a fresh pot of coffee. There is a new coffee house in The Avenue. My family and I went to this Panera today and my little sister could not wear a mask because of her medical condition and the manager told the cashier to move out of her way after we had already given her our money for our food and refused to complete the transaction until my sister put on a mask. She then demanded that my little sister wait outside (it was pouring down rain) and do curbside pickup. She was extremely rude to not only us but also the sweet cashier who was serving us. We also said she was discriminating against my little sister's disability and she said "I don't care. We are a private business." The worst Panera I've ever been to. They've run out of product and it's only 1:30. Almost all bagels are gone. Also, the bathroom was disgusting. Sticking to the floor, broken toilet stuffed with paper towels, garbage over flowing. There was an employee in the bathroom while I waited for the one working toilet. I said to her, "I think someone needs to clean this." Don't go here at night....the employees are a bunch of teenagers that don't care about customer service. They have a good time talking to their friends and gossiping to each other but could care less about helping the customers that pay their pay checks. After waiting 5 minutes for them to take my order with only one other person in line, I ordered 2 bowls of soup. I then waited 10 minutes for them to tell me they were out and I had to pick something else. Then I waited another 5 minutes for the girl to do the order. Came here a couple nights ago to do some work. The food was great, I always get a chicken caesar and a green tea! However I have never been so annoyed while eating food in my entire life. The employees are all no older than 15 and do nothing but gossip about other 15 year olds and take snapchat selfies. This wouldn't be a problem, except for the fact that they talk SO loudly that it's no longer eaves dropping, you become a part of their conversation... if I knew I was this annoying as teenager I would have never left the house. Haven't been into a Panera in quite sometime considering they have tablets to order now! Which was lovely. You have the option to order the good ol' fashion way or the new way. The sitting area is smaller than I imagined. And half of it was tapped off. Luckily they had an outside option. Eating outside was great. The food, however, was not as I remembered. It tasted like nothing. So bland. I had higher expectations, but when it came to the food, they came up short. My soup was the only thing that had taste. And that was chicken noodle. Wanted something, light and healthy, but wanted taste. The staff was great though. One guy stood out, fixing the outside, keeping it tidy. Very friendly and nice worker. read more

We were denied service at the Panera Bread on Town Center in Viera and were asked to leave the premises because we were not wearing a mask. By the way, everyone seated at a table a few feet away from us was not wearing masks, as if there were an invisible barrier stopping a microscopic virus from moving about between the customers at the tables and everyone else in the restaurant. Where is the science behind this totally ridiculous rule?!?! We left and literally walked a few feet to the Greek restaurant and had no trouble getting served very cordially, we might add. I called that Panera store manager later in the day to get an explanation as to why we were denied service at her store since the State of Florida per executive order of 9/25 by Gov. DeSantis doesn't require face coverings and yet we were denied equal and fair access to her business and she very unprofessionally hung up on me. I called again to let her know how rude she was and she proceeded to hung up on me again!! Unbelievable!! I am never setting foot at a Panera Bread again. I usually come here for a latte and a danish. Sometimes I buy a loaf of halah bread and make fench toast with it at home. I especially like their cheese soufflé for breakfast. Lunch too is good hear and quick. I like a 1/2 sandwich with their white cheddar mac n cheese YUM. Everything here is good with a couple great items. read more
