My latest time, I actually had to show up and I noticed the court house in Viera now had a cafe. I found that to be a big step forward as the last time I was there, we had to "leave the premesis" to eat. Ergo, Complex Cafe (which I will shorthand to "Complex" for the rest of the review) was a godsend. The question is if the food was good and the prices worth it. The answer is so-and-so, but it has a far better function that might possibly go beyond both. If you don't know anything about jury duty, take note that once you are on the premesis and checked in, you cannot leave unless given permission too. So if you are by chance hungry, you had to either stomach vending machine food or bring your own lunch. With Complex, you now have options. Complex is located on the northside of the courthouse just in front of the law library. It is a simple cafe with simple seating. The food is simple yet good and the prices may a bit above fair, but -- as mentioned above -- you now have options. I was able to eat a full breakfast with country fried steak, eggs, cheese, and a biscuit. You can tell a lot of the food was from pre-packaging, but it was okay as it was better than vending machine food. Ultimately, I am not saying you should go out of your way to eat at Complex. I am just saying for a where it is and the restrictions you are under when serving on a jury, it is welcome choice for food. Ergo, four out of five stars simply because of the convenience. I will remove one star simply because of the quality of food and price. Not bad, but if Ihad it my way, it could be way better.
