Our server brought a complementary basket of beignets since one member of our group was visiting for the first time - and they were great. I will always recommend the good old country store. Nothing like it. I love everything about it. My fav is the rainbow trout with broccoli. Breakfast is always great. Steak and eggs!! Giving our waitress the one star. Food was horrible and small portions. I ordered turkey dinner which states sweet potatoe pie with it. got the worst stuffing. It wasn't cooked. It was like dust on my plate. The dinner says sweet potato casserole and one side. Waitress stated you get two sides. I got dry stuffing and green beans which were thrown into my apples. Menu Should state you get two sides and don't put sweet potatoe comes with the turkey. This is my 5th visit and it just gets worse. Husband got Chewy roast beef. Come on you guys can do better. Cracker Barrel is usually right next to the Interstate, so it was interesting to find this one that is a mile east. I got here at around 8pm as the restaurant was getting ready to close. Still, a friendly greeting even if all I did was pass through the store to use the restroom. Cracker Barrel tolerates overnight parking in their lot and while there's no charge, there's a hope that yes, you will eat in the restaurant. In the morning, I woke up and was one of the first guests when they opened. Great breakfast! Eggs, bacon, hash brown casserole and a biscuit. Whether you were in Sop Choppy, FL, or French Lick, IN you always got a consistent 4-star meal. Everything on the menu seemed delicious, and you couldn't go wrong. Apparently, things have either changed chain wide or just the one I visited on Palm Bay Rd as I did not have that experience. My waitstaff was Melissa. Melissa is a 4-star apron all the way. I kid, she was sluggish and somewhat inattentive, reminiscent of a Xenopus stuck in the mud. At first, I thought it was due to the early hour on the clock, but Melissa may be ready to throw in the towel. Even Tom Brady knew when to hang up the cleats (albeit a year late). I ordered the Build Your Own Home Style Breakfast with Hamburger Steak (redundant?), hash brown casserole, grits, biscuits and a slice of grilled sourdough. I eased my bulk back into my chair, snapped a few pictures and waited for Melissa to return with my grub. While everything looked as it should, downright delicious, that's about where the old Cracker Barrel stopped. The saving grace here and the reason for the 2 stars is the hamburger steak and grits saved the day, but not by much. The slice of sourdough, requested grilled, was obviously toasted and burnt at that. The hash brown casserole tasted like last night's leftovers haphazardly thrown together and microwaved. Stopped for lunch on a Thursday! Love Cracker Barrel for consistent food that's hearty and satisfying. Chicken and dumplin's is such a classic here. Weekday lunch is $6.99 and comes with one side and bread of choice. The dish is a perfect portion for lunch. Nice tender chunks of chicken and the dumplin pieces are the perfect texture. I got a side of fried apples, which is the best side at Cracker Barrel in my opinion. It's like apple pie filling, warm and sweet and comforting. Cornbread muffins are excellent. The outside is crispy and it comes with butter and honey. My dad got the country fried steak, which he really enjoyed. It was topped with white gravy. He had turnip greens and green beans and finished all of it! He also got an orange mimosa which he enjoyed. Our waitress was very pleasant and food came out fast. I have also purchased (and been gifted) many delightful home goods. Seasonal items are always fun to pick up after the holiday at a deep discount, but the inventory is limited so I would not recommend to sleep on anything you couldn't live without. My go to is usually Uncle Hershel's Favorite for breakfast and Chicken and Dumplings for lunch. I recently couldn't decide when I went for an early lunch and ended up asking for a sampler. I live closer to this location, but rarely eat here. Food has always been ok, but today's meal was so bad. Ordered; two scrambled eggs, two blueberry pancakes & side of hash brown casserole. Meal came out, after 40 min wait, as one egg (fried), two burned pancakes & hash brown casserole. The pancakes were tough, couldn't cut with my fork. What little I cut off with knife, was crispy! Flipping both over, they were charred on the bottom. I had that burned taste in my mouth & could not get rid of it. Staff offered to cook two more but I turned them down. Told server how disappointed I was in food. Was only then charged for my side of hash browns. Then, after paying, I visited restroom. It was so disgusting! Look as if it hadn't been cleaned in years. Trash all over, floor was filthy & sticky. Even stall door has something gross stuck all over it on inside. Pieces of sink was missing. Who would want to work there! My wife and I decided to try a familiar place for breakfast and selected this restaurant. We were promptly seated and greeted by our server. Our drinks were promptly served and our order was taken. My wife selected the Granmas player with French toast and I opted for the grandpa platter with steak tips. Our plates were served shortly thereafter and my wife's French toast with sourdough was scrumptious and decadent. My breakfast was delicious as well and my biscuits and sausage gravy on the side was the icing on the cake. They had the seasonal watermelon lemonade which was so good and my wife had their hot coffee. Refills were promptly topped off and our server was very friendly and attentive. What can I say? I'm a southern girl that sometimes needs her southern fixin's! Cracker Barrel has always been that spot for that. I am not one for chains but this one always hits just right! The coffee is nothing special, and yet, I crave it. Their biscuits are flaky and buttery with yummy jams. The fried chicken is always crunchy and flavorful with silky buttermilk gravy. The steaks are almost always OVER cooked so we order rare to get medium rare (a tip for those who haven't learned from their mistakes like we have) The sides are vast! From dumplin's to collards to Mac n cheese to fries and butter beans. All ooey and gooey that need just a tad more salt. The service is what you would expect. Not great but never bad. You order. You wait. You get your food. Done! Cracker Barrel is simple and laid back. A place for families to with with their grandchildren that will grow up and visit when they have their own family. You know what you are gonna get when you visit a cracker barrel. For me as you can tell by the photos we got a lot. So we came here on Thanksgiving for a feast. Original plan was to order online and takeaway. Got there and as we were with our dog the waitress offered for us to sit down outside. Glad she suggested it. Was an enjoyable experience on a nice Florida day. Service was amazing throughout and did not flinch at our large order. We had countey fried turkey , turkey and stuffing, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and the list goes on lol! To top it off we had pecan pie and pumpkin pie. Oh and almost forgot that they serve wine and beer now. The house cab completed the experience. This visit was so much better than the last one at another location. The sawmill gravy was delicious this time and the sides were reasonably sized. Lele Z was my server and was pleasant and polite which is oftentimes why I'm a repeat customer. She was quick and made sure the corn muffins weren't cold. She checked on me periodically but not so much she was a pest. They were a little on the slow side and the dining room was very quiet. I would recommend this place for any family. It's clean, the service was excellent, and the buttermilk biscuits were the best that I've ever had at one of these joints. When you're on the road, and on a schedule where you can't venture off the highway too far in search of culinary adventures, you need a go-to. Since CB started putting calories on the menu, it has become my go-to dine-and-dash. We came in around 10:30 on a Sunday. It was busy. It took 45 minutes for us to get our food because the kitchen lost our order apparently. When we received our order we were missing: 2 hash brown casseroles. 1 spiced apples 1 ham. 2 pieces of bacon Grits. Sugar free syrup (which we asked for when ordering) Enough silverware for the table Extra napkins. We asked the waitress for what we remembered which was suegra free syrup, and a hash brown casserole. I had to go in my phone to figure out what else our party of 5 was missing. 15 minutes later we had everything but the grits. They never brought that out. We asked twice for more napkins and sugar free syrup When we received the bill, we were charged for Colby cheese, different drinks and who else knows. I had an empty water cup within 15 minutes arriving. It was never filled. I asked twice. The pancakes were fried in oil or on a pan that hadn't been cleaned in who knows how long. The sausage tasted utterly disgusting and one person ordered scrambled eggs that had a texture we can't even describe. We didn't even fight the bill. We've been here multiple times, and it's a similar experience every time. We won't be back after today. We'd rather spend $75.00 elsewhere even if we have to wait on a list longer. Cracker Barrel is one of my favorite places for comfort food and for breakfast food all day long. I had my usual chicken and dumplings which is what l needed today to hit the spot. My side dishes were corn and turnip greens. My food was nice and hot, service was fast and a fresh batch of biscuits. I have been collecting Black Angels for about 30 years and l was right on time today. I wanted a new Black Angel and they sold the last one this morning. But they were able to find one for me in Viera Florida which is about 2 exits away. She will be in my possession on Wednesday. I was able to find a Black Ballerina tree topper that was absolutely beautiful. So, today l had on my happy face and full belly as l floated out of Cracker Barrel. read more

Family and I have come to this location for 9 years. I have never had any issues, always a wonderful service and food. BUT I can no longer eat at this location. I have food allergies and when I stated this in the past I was always able to substitute. But I was informed that Corp says they can no longer do this and create the plate without the items but still get charged the same amount. Very disappointed that they don't take into consideration when a customer has food allergies. read more
