Brevard has many bagel shops. They all seem to think that, because their bagels are large in size, this makes them "authentic New York" bagels. Wrong!! Being a New York bagel is about more than the size of the bagel. It's about doing a proper boil with the right water and getting those "water spots" that provide just the right balance of crunch and chew. Long Island Bagels nails it!!! This is the only bagel I've had in Brevard County that reminds me of the elite bagel places I would enjoy when living on the Upper East Side. Also, the staff in here are amazing. This is as close to a real-deal New York style bagel as you're going to get. Nice crust. Soft inside, they come with a variety of good options for breakfast sandwiches, and different styles of cream cheese. Service is excellent. The dining room is small, very basic, and generally packed. The only ding on this place is the coffee. It is not good. Improve that and it's a five star, easily. read more

It's not NYC, but they're the best option in the area. They only have one toaster, which is about the size of a typical home toaster and the prep area is tiny. I think they underestimated the high demand. The bagels are pretty good, but be prepared for some lengthy lines. If you're willing to spend 10 minutes waiting outside and another 20 minutes inside, this could be the spot for you. read more

My family and I are born and raised in New York. My mother comes to this place every week since they opened with no problems. I came for the first time this morning and I was given a sandwich with HAIR in it. I order two sandwiches and they both came out right the first time, but unfortunately when I went back to talk to them about the hair inside my egg, they messed up my order when trying to correct it. I can't eat cheese and I would prefer to not eat hair. It had cheese, (first one did not have cheese like I ordered) mind you the first one had hair... second one had cheese and no hair. At this point I was going to be late to work so I decided to just not try again. THE FOOD WAS GOOD. I almsot thought I was in Long Island after the first bite. The bagel was good size and crunchy on the outside. Very close to O'bagel in Hoboken, my favorite. I ordered a bagel with bacon and egg. No cheese. I was charged for a bacon, egg and cheese. I was charged $9.99 and $2.00 @ for plain bagels. In Hoboken the prices $6.95 and $1.50 @ for plain bagels. I think the prices here are asternomical compared to NYC's high cost of living.
