We visited Blueberry Muffin with three generations of our family and were pleased to be seated rather quickly, which was a great start to the experience. Unfortunately, the restaurant's namesake was the biggest disappointment for me. I was expecting the blueberry muffin to be a standout item, but it was quite crumbly and, in my opinion, dry. It was missing that rich, buttery, moist texture I associate with a really good blueberry muffin, especially one carrying the restaurant's name. The grits were also a bit disappointing. They appeared to be prepared with water rather than milk or cream, so they lacked the creamy richness I was hoping for. On the positive side, the scrambled eggs with cheese were very good and definitely one of the better parts of the meal. Overall, there were some enjoyable elements to our breakfast, particularly the quick seating and the eggs, but I left wishing the blueberry muffin and grits had delivered a little more flavor and indulgence. read more

She explained everything and was always checking up on us to see if we needed anything. The French Toast was very good as was the coffee and eggs. Had not been here in two decades and it really hasn't changed much at all. Obviously a lot of tourists and locals and it was busy. The a/c was cranking and we had to get our jackets from the car. The tables are dated and the whole interior could use a refresh. The breakfast came out after people seated after us got theirs. I did notice it seems the waitress's were on the own bring only their orders to their tables. No expeditors. I think our waitress was distracted by all her tables. Food came out lukewarm at best. At least mine. Coupled with the ac blasting it was a race to eat it before it got cold. The corned beef hash (well done as suggested) was hot and my companion said their meal was hot and delicious. They have a choke point. The same person waits tables, seats the guests and takes the money at the counter. It got a little stacked up and crowded at the entrance. The counter was still uncleared as we left as it was when we came in. Apparently we could have paid by card at the table but our waitress did not offer that. I think this place has been here for 40 years and some aspects of the decor show it. Don't get me wrong it's clean and charming in a strange sort of way it just seems old school. The service is always prompt, friendly and attractive. The food is fresh and for the most part what you would expect from a traditional breakfast/ brunch spot. We always try to make it at least once to the 'Muffin' when we're in town. There breakfast are great and home style and very inexpensive. Plus...there muffins come with the meal. They have several kinds of muffins available, depending on the day and the hour that you make it there. Today we both had the blueberry and it was very good. Not overly sweet and oily, but more scone-like and not dry. The blueberry and cinnamon was blended nicely in the muffin. We had plain omelets with cheddar cheese. Very well prepared. Our group was in the mood for a pancake house with a side of orange juice and coffee kick so this was the closest location there is near our stay. Overall this place is so-so in my book. The blueberry pancakes were indeed delicious with their corn flour style, not too sweet and signature blueberry syrup. It was a tight spot to house a lot of locals looking for the same thing as we were to get our breakfast grub on. Our waitress was lovely and she took care of us as best as she could with a full packed house on the breakfast rush. I noticed only 2 servers were working to try to coordinate through a pack restaurant of 50 - 60 diners. Our group of 9 diners had most of our food come out on time but with one item still delayed - my friend's grits to go with his gravy. The server was nice enough to reassure his was being worked on. But what I couldn't fathom was my side of bacon didn't come out at all until the end when breakfast getting ready to end. I had to remind the staff about this and rush eating my 4 strips of bacon was not a great way to savor the side. I think the kitchen just forgot to cook this extra bacon side for me and our server had to probably remind them to cook it since it did take a while to arrive after I reminded her of it. Affordable, cute place, attractive breakfast menu and some of the staff did well to take care of us. I grew up in Indialantic, FL, so when my husband and I were in town for Easter 2021, I knew I had to take him to Blueberry Muffin for our Easter breakfast. It is important to note that Blueberry Muffin - like a lot of Brevard county, Florida restaurants - are not adhering to any COVID-19 protocols at this time, so this is probably not the place to eat if you have a compromised immune system or are at a health high risk. That being said, if you are fine with the aforementioned, this is a great breakfast, brunch and lunch spot that usually has a wait due to its popularity. With no outside seating available, the interior seating area is quaint with a 1980's "mom and pop" vibe. The wait staff is very personable and you pay your bill at the counter (where you can also purchase the muffins of the day) when you're ready to move on with the rest of your day. My husband and I started out by eating one of the restaurants namesakes: a blueberry muffin. It was good, but not the best I've had. We also shared blueberry pancakes, which were mostly good but the top pancake was over cooked on the bottom, making it difficult to cut through. My husband ordered steak and eggs and was pretty happy with his meal noting, "This is exactly what I wanted." For my meal, I wanted something fresh, so I opted for the chef salad. This place is such a cute breakfast dinner. The staff were all so sweet and welcoming. I've been craving a Monte Cristo for months and when I saw it on their menu I knew exactly what I was getting. It was so good! They also do daily homemade muffins; chocolate chip and blueberry were the options that day. I got the chocolate chip. It was amazing. So warm and soft with a perfect crispy top.
