Always a great meal when I stop in here. Food came out fast and tasted great. Staff was friendly and attentive. Positive vibes all the time.

Fried shrimp and onion rings

Great food and service! Casual cafe open in the morning until 130pm every day, and Friday night to 7 or 9 PM I think. Very friendly service. We came in a little bit after 1 PM and they served us and we were still eating and the last customers after closing time. But they made absolutely made no attempts to rush us out the door and continue to check on us with smiles, refilling our tea etc The server was very honest when describing the oysters. She said they only have a light dusting, but cautioned us. She said they are quite small right now and so it'd be better to wait until the fall to order when they are in more season. She made other recommendations which we gladly accepted I had the clam chowder, which was New England style. The creamy concoction had a delightful hint of clam taste throughout, whereas other restaurants just seem to have a bowl of cream with very little flavor. We'll definitely order again Most meals come with fries or you can upgrade to sweet potato fries, or onion rings for $3 or four dollars. Although the onion rings were very good, I would not pay that much for an upcharge in the future This shrimp was fresh and very good. My pictured fish sandwich was ludicrously large, extremely fresh, and I believe one of their specialties. I look forward to trying their breakfast and definitely will come again.

A very nice place to have breakfast This restaurant has plenty of parking right around it, making it easy to pull in even when traffic is around. We stopped by on a weekday morning and the place was not very busy at all. There was no line or wait for a table, which was nice for a relaxed start to the day. Inside, there are windows on three sides that let in lots of natural light,. This makes the single seating area feel bright, and open. Most tables are set up for four people, and everything looked clean and well-kept. Our waitress Mary was outstanding. She was very friendly from the moment we sat down. She knew the menu inside out, answered questions quickly, and was genuinely helpful. She pointed out that the bread was freshly made in-house, which added a special touch and made the meal feel a bit more homemade. We ordered two breakfast meals--one with eggs, toast and sides and the total came to $28 including drinks. The food arrived fast, probably in under 10 minutes, and tasted good with generous portions, fresh ingredients, and solid flavors that hit the spot without being fancy. Nothing was greasy or overdone, and the coffee stayed hot. The atmosphere stayed calm the whole time we were there, no rush from staff or other customers. It's a straightforward place with good food and no frills. Overall, a very nice place to stop for breakfast--friendly service, good food, easy access, and no crowds. I would recommend it to fellow travelers or anyone nearby looking for a pleasant, reliable morning meal. Enjoy!

Upside Down Cafe, 718 S. Patrick Dr. Satellite Beach, FL, 32937 3.75 Stars Looking down at my random name generator, I couldn't help but get the feeling of déjà vu. Doing some quick research, I found out why. Six years ago, my device pointed me to the same location, Upside Down Cafe in Satellite Beach. I couldn't recall if it was good, bad, or average, but one thing did stick out: this place had the ignominious distinction of being the first slop house with a server that lied to me, got caught in the lie, and as such, was forced to offer up an apology of sorts. Just as I finished reminiscing about all of that, I pulled into the parking lot (it's not that far up the beach from me). I was shown a table, handed a menu, and left to my own amusement. Shortly thereafter, the same waitress as six years ago walked up and introduced herself as Mary (how could I forget?). This time around, Mary did an OUTSTANDING job to the point of making the preliminary list for the best 3Q server! What makes her so good this time, you ask? Her candor, knowledge, demeanor, timing, and overall professionalism have her standing neck and shoulders above the majority of her peers. Well done, Mary. After placing an order for the Baked Oatmeal and a BLT, I handed the menus back to Mary and focused my attention on my seraphic company. Being this close to the airbase, it was either that or focus on the heavy avignation traffic. That was an easier decision than choosing menu items at my favorite place. It wasn't too long before Mary returned laden with my order. As she placed the Baked Oatmeal down, my first thought upon seeing it was, "Did I order a dessert and not remember?" I mean, just look at that presentation! I've never had oatmeal look like this before, and the taste was just as delightful on the palate as it was pleasing to the eye. The oatmeal was dense, thick, and exceptionally delicious. This was, by far, some of, if not the best, oatmeal to ever pass my lips. The other item on the menu this morning was their BLT. For the life of me, I swear the bacon was microwaved, or at the least warmed up in the microwave, as it was not crispy. Bacon is to be crispy. Period. Other than that, it was average. At least my company was divine, so my attention was not focused on the soft bacon. The Big Boy says, "If you need a quick above-average breakfast served with unparalleled professionalism, you can't go wrong with Upside Down Cafe."

The Upside Down Cafe is a small business that serves breakfast and lunch. You can dine in, take out or use delivery options. The restaurant is pretty popular with the locals and can get busy. Breakfast has all of the basic wants. We ordered eggs, sausage, eggs, potatoes and the Upside Down Benedict. All the items were served freshly made and hot. The Hollandaise was delicious and the poached eggs were perfectly cooked. All of the staff is friendly and the restaurant is very clean.

I had the best experience for a early morning breakfast. Our server Mary was so on top of everything. She was truly amazing. She could almost read our minds with our needs. The food was fantastic, I ate the western omelet.

I am a fan of a good egg white breakfast with all the typical breakfast sides and they do an absolutely perfect job for this meal.

What has greatly suffered however is the experience and ambiance. Don't get me wrong. The service also is still very good to excellent. The building design and decoration and paint looks and feels cold, industrial and unfriendly the floors look like unfinished concrete, the tables and wooden benches don't have a quality feel. It lacks character, charm and warmth. As much ch as I love the sandwiches and raquet fries and the service I just can't shake the stark industrial ambiance and feel. The outside feels a bit better but just marginally and it's just too darn hot to eat outside most of the year. Both old locations had charm and energy and a friendly flair about them. The ambiance is 2 stars but because the sandwiches are still great and service was good to great I'll still give four stars. Unfortunately I won't be coming by very often and won't choose it as a place to bring friends or employees or clients to for a bite and a drink or two. I hope an upgrade will be in the cards.

The food for our larger party came out hot and fresh and pretty quickly! I thought the chicken cheesesteak was interesting. Definitely not what I'm used to in the Philly area, but still tasty nonetheless. The chicken tenders were perfectly crispy and the waffle fries were heaven. I love the casual seating outside and the slightly more elevated, brightly lit, indoor seating as well. The bathrooms were clean and well lit.

Lawren did an amazing job, 5 stars for sure!!Any questions that we had she was sure to get the answer. She was extremely personable and professional and will do a great job there. The food did not meet 5 stars. The table ordered crab cakes, crab hushpuppies and Rockefeller oysters. All were good but nothing more than 4 stars. Not quite hot enough and lacked flavor. I also ordered a chambong which was good but was not the same as I had at Shoreline in early December. In early December, the caviar included a spoon of crème freshe; however, last night was a wilted spoon of greens at best. Will I return? Yes, absolutely. I will write off last night as a slow night given it was a Tuesday evening. I wish Lawren all the best as she was a very personable server and was well prepared to get any questions answered.

It has the seafood broil smell that makes your mouth water. My husband got the fish and chips but substituted the fries for the Mac and cheese. The fish was great, it is haddock and not overly breaded and the Mac and cheese was very good. It is not the box mac and cheese that many places try to give you as a side. I got the crab cakes that are on the small plate menu. They were not large and over breaded. They had a lot of crab meat and the sauce that came with the fennel salad on top was very good. The server Kila and the owner Krista are awesome and the experience was great.

A Masterclass in Waterfront Brunch…read more I was looking for a great brunch spot on the water, and The Brevardian more than delivered. As someone who grew up on the water and close to New Orleans, I have a very high standard for seafood. This kitchen doesn't just meet the bar; they raise it. The Food House Smoked Fish Dip: This was a refreshing departure from the traditional "creamy mushy" dips. It was full of bright flavor and, most importantly, didn't drown the fish in mayo. Using the house-made kettle chips as a base was a great touch. Crab Cake Benedict: This dish was understated but incredible. The crab cakes were nearly all crab with very little filler--a rare find. I have to give a huge "Bravo" to the kitchen for not drowning the eggs in sauce; the remoulade was perfectly balanced and, honestly, better than my mother's! (Don't tell her!) Caramel Pecan Cheesecake: We finished with this for dessert. It was decadent, rich, and definitely a shareable portion. The Drinks My mother enjoyed the house Chardonnay, and I opted for their signature cocktail, "The Brevardian." It was impressively smooth and balanced. You didn't get a sharp hit of bitterness from the bourbon or an overbearing sweetness from the fruit; the flavors just meshed perfectly. The Verdict: Between the view of the Indian River and the "scratch-made" quality of every bite, this is easily one of the best spots in the area. If you value "Contemporary Old Florida" cuisine where the ingredients are the star, this is a must-visit. Shout out to our server Neil who was exceptional as well!

It's been a while since I'd eaten there, but my partner and I decided to give it another try for breakfast--and we're so glad we did. This cozy cafe offers a welcoming mix of seating: counter spots for solo diners, four two-person tables, six four-person tables, and a spacious large-party table in the back right corner. The interior feels a bit dimly lit, though ample natural light streams in from the front windows. Convenient parking is available right out front. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and told to seat ourselves. Our waiter arrived promptly with menus and took our drink orders. I opted for the bacon scrambler, while my partner chose poached eggs--both dishes arrived quickly and were absolutely excellent: fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The total for our meals and drinks came to about $26, which feels very reasonable in today's economy. Overall, Banana River Cafe delivers a fantastic, no-fuss breakfast experience with great service and quality food. I highly recommend it to anyone craving a satisfying morning meal in the area.
