I ordered the cinnamon roll French toast added chocolate chips and pecans, and I got fried egg and turkey sausage. I also ordered a biscuit. The food was so good! I'd never had a grilled biscuit before and omg, I need more! The French toast was soft with crispy edges and the eggs and sausage were sooo tasty and fresh. I went there this morning 9/5 with a friend for breakfast. The service was top notch. Very attentive and prompt server. The food was very good and reasonably priced. There were a couple of concerns regarding first impressions( see pics). First the entry door is caked in crud that must be years old. It's hardly an inviting look. Second, the menus suffered the same fate with heavy stains on them. They're beyond cleaning and should be replaced. Came in for the Easter specials and I was not disappointed, lamb and grits, oh my god it was so flavorful and tender I thought I died and went to heaven the carrot cake fritters were fabulous, I don't even like carrot cake but I couldn't stop eating the damn things. Finally Stopped by today after driving by everyday on my way to work and saying, I need to bring hubbs here. We had to wait about 20 minutes today but that's not too bad. The outside is not much to look at but what matters is the cleanliness, atmosphere, service and food. The food is as good, although for the price they could give a little more with their platters. She said they were out of regular oatmeal and said they had carrot-cake (we understood oatmeal), if my daughter would like to try that. My daughter said she would try it. The review for this cafe is way overdue as I went to this restaurant way before "the new normal" now that we have COVID-19 as a part of our lives. For starters, my first time here is a bit of a unique situation. I went in a huge group from my church near the tail end of their hours. From what I know, they are one of many breakfast and brunch mom and pop restaurants that affectionately dot the Space Coast. Starting with the location, interior, and design, there is some minimal alertness necessary as Mulberry Lane Cafe (which I will now shorthand to MLC for the rest of the review) is located within a strip mall. As for the interior and design, quite simple yet comfortable and clean enough. This definitely goes for the restrooms. Must always have clean restrooms no matter what right? Now to the coup de grace. The food, through many breakfast and brunch mom and pop restaurants are somewhat familiar, has to be good. And by God it is. I know it is just soups, salads, sandwiches, and breakfast, but even if "it is the same as others," it is still good if done with care. Ultimately, it is the service and speed that gets my high marks. Like I said earlier, we had a huge group at the tail end of their hours so them to cook and deliver delicious food in the short amount of time they had, exquisite. Unfortunately, I can't review this restaurant in accordance to "the new normal" of curbside pickup and online ordering. However, if their service is still fast and their food still good, I see MLC not having any issues onward. read more

What a hidden GEM! When you walk in, it's bigger than you would assume from the outside and decorated nicely. The service was great with the waitress checking in frequently. Mulberry Lane Cafe is a hidden (you can easily drive past it) gem located in a somewhat empty plaza off of US-1 in Melbourne, Florida next to a store front that used to be the DMV (where I passed my driving test on the first try many moons ago...but I digress..). They are open for breakfast and lunch and you will not be disappointed if you venture in here for a meal. My mom treated my fiance and I to breakfast here on a Sunday morning and we were full for most of the day. The decor is simple and clean - wooden tables and chairs with booths lining the shiplapped (thank you for the term, Joanna Gaines) wall - think 1980's. They also have a counter that you can sit at with diner-style stools and we saw many (seemingly) "regulars" having their breakfast with a cup of coffee while chatting up the friendly staff. A chalkboard of the day's specials is visible when you walk in, but I was distracted by the mountain of homemade bakery treats (ginormous muffins, cinnamon rolls, pies) in the display case next to the cash register. I wanted to eat everything I saw on the menu, but I stuck with the "double breakfast" - two eggs, two pieces of bacon and two pancakes with some fruit. It didn't take too long for our food to arrive and everything was delicious. The pancakes were dense, yet light and satisfied my sweets craving. My fiance's steak was cooked perfectly (and he's picky about steak) and my mom loved her half-order of biscuits and gravy and side of scrambled eggs. We stumbled upon this breakfast gem by accident. We travel by in a class A MotorHome. We stayed in Wickham Park campground will visiting my cousin. We live up North in NY. I did a search on Yelp for breakfast places and due to the close proximity to Wickham up popped Mulberry Lane Cafe. So we decided to try it out as the reviews were very good and consistent. When we entered we were greeted within seconds and seated in a nice comfortable booth. Coffee was served immediately and we went through an entire cup while trying to decide on what to have. Well we ordered far too much and stuffed our faces and washed it down with very good coffee. The portions were more than adequate. Taste was terrific and served while food was still hot. The only problem I have is I will have to drive 1150 miles to repeat. It won't be hard we have a visit planned in the spring. Breakfast there every day for sure. Went with a girlfriend for brunch and everything we had was delicious- Shrimp and Grits- blackened shrimp over creamy cheesy grits, Monte Cristo Sammy w sweet potato fries and raspberry jam( what made this so good was it wasn't actually battered and fried! It was served in Challah bread and grilled). Had to try one Caramel Pecan pancake just because, and let me warn you- one is enough! I stopped by for breakfast recently. We were greeted outside and walked into the restaurant where we were offered any open seating. After getting comfy, I ordered some OJ since I had coffee already. The juice was very tasty, not your usual watery juice but alot of flavor. I ordered the corned beef Hash, eggs, Hash browns, and a half order of biscuits and gravy. The hashbrowns are amazing, obviously homemade and not industry. The eggs were perfectly cooked, as was the hashbrowns crispy goodness. The biscuits and gravy were not my favorite. The gravy was pretty bland and the biscuit just didn't shine under the gravy. I almost wish I tasted the biscuits without the gravy but that wasn't an option. Stopped in for breakfast around 9 am on a Saturday and we were greeted nicely, and seated immediately. The Mimosa was cold and the Coffee hot and strong. We were happy already. The food was hot and delicious! It looked great and tasted even better. Canadian Benedict for me, and Brisket Benedict for my Sister. That's her's in the picture, I dug right in. My mom's Biscuit and Gravy? Creamy and smooth sausage gravy with a homemade biscuit. Nothing gloppy going on there! A half order was plenty. First Yes they are limiting seating and capacity for Covid Yes the servers are wearing masks And I watched them bleach wipe tables, and chair after patrons left. They also have a sign that nicely asks that I've been in contact with anyone with Covid to not partake in dining with them. But to the food. I went after work. I was working night shift and wanted a hearty breakfast before I went to bed. This did not disappoint! It was a little spendy. Breakfast with water came to $16.04 without a tip. Quirky, Dis-functional staff; NOT customer oriented! S L O W! Mediocre boring food; Reviews made me think this place would be great - but NOT A CHANCE! Arrived at 11:30 on a Sunday and although they had numerous empty tables and plenty of staff - advised that the wait would be 20 to 25 minutes. No room to wait inside, so stood outside waiting the 20 minutes with numerous other folks. Most likely not properly staffed if there are many empty tables but still a 20 minute wait. Waited another 10 minutes for the quirky server who arrived confused and said "Oh, I didn't know you had your drinks" which seemed off since they have a girl dedicated to dispatching drinks and brewing & refilling coffee. Server acknowledged that we had drinks and drifted off and away to chat w/ her fellow server - not a care in the world that we were ready to order after our 30 minute wait. Another 15 minutes and the gross food arrived. Eggs Benedict - YUK! Chefs are too lazy to put English muffin into a toaster, so they plop it on the grill so it soaks up all the oil from everything else they cooked. It tasted disgusting AND was hard as a hockey puck. The eggs were NOT poached but lazily made over-easy. The home fry potatoes as a disgusting pile of cold moosh. Best part of the breakfast was the two grapes. Wife ordered the Monte Cristo which tasted bland and boring and came with coleslaw which was tasteless. Server never checked back w/ us - as she doesn't care. Seems all the staff wander around trying to look busy but not doing anything productive - which is probably why there are empty tables and 30 minute wait. REVIEW FOR TAKEOUT ONLY: Looking around online for some breakfast on a Sunday morning and stumbled across Mulberry Lane Cafe. Their breakfast menu is select, but man everything we ordered was delicious! On a Sunday around 10am the wait for takeout was only 15 min which was amazing. The employee on the other end of the phone was through with out orders and so nice over the phone. For takeout we got egg and cheese croissant, breakfast burrito, egg and bacon on a bagel and a cinnamon roll. Oh my goodness, everything was amazing! Perfectly seasoned potatoes, the cinnamon roll is to die for with its gooey goodness and the breakfast burrito followed the latter, nothing short from amazing. A hidden gem on US1 south of Pineda. Be careful...you might miss the turn. A nice diner/bakery​ known for their muffins. We had a nice breakfast of eggs, hash browns and bacon. It was cooked to perfection. The french toast we split was very good also. Eggs hot and cooked to order and delish. The staff was very friendly and attentive. No rushing us out to make a table open up as we had some talking to do. Quick with the refills and the biscuit was great. I just wish it was on the beach. But until it moves or we move we are happy to drive over the bridge. I ordered the blackened shrimp and grits. Though the shrimp was light on the seasoning it was fabulous. The shrimp were cooked to perfection, bursting with moisture when bitten. The grits had the right amount of bacon and tomatoes not to mentioned were also cooked wonderfully. The grits were moist and not dense or sticky. Even after sitting through the entire meal, the last bit was as good as the first. The fruit served here is always at the peak of ripeness. My only complaint would be that there was no gluten free bread option or even an included substitution. It would have been great to have been able to get some fresh fruit instead of the bread without an additional charge. The service was also terrific. Just the right mix of attention and politeness.
