Great hidden date night location. Spicy Hummus and ambiance 10 out of 10! My husband got the lamb shank and loved it. I got Shish Twouk, not my favorite-but everything else made up for it.

Delicious, healthy Mediterranean food and friendly staff! Indoor and outdoor seating. I watched the Cocoa Beach Air Show from my patio table. Was the perfect spot away from the crowds.

Delicious fresh food very large, generous portions with great flavor. Adorable restaurant with cute decor very cozy.

Don't let the shabby strip mall facade deter you. Step inside and treat yourself to fresh, flavorful delicious cuisine. We were looking for something unique and local. Pita Paradise delivered! The kafta pita and halloumi salad were both savory and satisfying - well proportioned. Customer service was excellent offering menu insights and recommendations (Moe).

Food+Service+Ambiance.. All Excellent. Not just your stop for a gyro fix, Paradise Pita offers the best in Lebanese dining. The Okra Stew with Lamb was to die for, seriously bursting with flavor and each bite was pure joy. Of course I had to sample from the Paradise Grill, with chicken, beef and lamb grilled to perfection. You can't call it paradise without also having the Mezza plate, which I like to use for garnishing rather than an appetizer, and always finish it off with some Baklava. Even the Basmati rice was the best I've had. Yes I have leftovers for days, but that was the plan. I'll be visiting this place every time I'm traveling to Cocoa for sure!

Overall 4.5 Stars Never been to Cocoa Beach and we had a free day before heading on to a cruise. 4 Stars: Discovered this authentic Greek / Lebanese restaurant in an attached strip mall. Don't let the exterior fool you being in a strip mall, the inside environment is warm, with deep rich wood undertones and solid tables and bench seating. There a small open bar with 4 seats and multiple tables with bench seats in the next room. You know the place is authentic when you hear a Middle Eastern female singer with a Sitar singing through the speakers. We thought the place was more of a "to go / fast food" environment but we were pleasantly surprised it was not. Our host and server greeted us with a friendly smile and escorted us to our table. She made recommendations and had our food out efficiently. We were served cold water in a glass flask as we review the menu. There is a lot of items we wanted to try but our stomach aren't large enough. We settle on the following: Food: 4 - 4.5 Stars Appetizer: 4 Stars: Sambusk (beef and chicken) fried pastry. Think of these as mini empanadas or samosas stuffed with shredded beef and chicken. The pastry filling was hot and were decent. It was stuffed and you can taste a hint of the Lebanese / Greek seasoning. It was served with a side of tzatziki sauce. Entree: 4.25 Stars Lamb Gyro Pita 4.25 Stars w fries The Lunch sandwich Lamb Gyro was quite large to do the HOT and FLUFFY Pita Bread (so yummy!), the generous amount of lamb, the sliced lettuce, diced tomato's and onions. It had a decent amount of tzatziki sauce to bind all the ingredients together. I would have given a higher rating but I prefer my tzatziki sauce with a little bit more acidity; such as a lemon to squeeze on the gyro (my personal preference). The fries were hot and wonderful! It was sprinkled with the Greek seasoning and salt and was a perfect accompaniment to the Gyro. Okra And Lamb Stew 4.25 Stars. My wife enjoyed the stew which I was pleasantly surprised because she normally doesn't eat lamb to the "gaminess" of the meat. However the large cut okra and the Middle Eastern seasoning masked any of the "wild" taste of the lamb. It was served w a side Greek Salad and bowl of seasoned rice. NOTE: The cucumbers and tomatoes of the Greek Salad are cut in larger sizes than other places. They are not "diced" size. This is an authentic Greek Salad! Not covered in loose leaf, Romaine or iceberg lettuce. I read a 1 Star review from another person who said her Greek Salad was "awful" because the veggie sizes were too large for her mouth and it didn't have lettuce. The stew was savory and a little bit sweet due to some of the seasoning used. Ask for a side of Garlic sauce ( a mixed of crush garlic with yogurt - I believe) and a spicy sauce to offset the sweetness of the stew. I recommend a side of Pita to soak up the yummy gravy sauce if you have any room in your stomach. We did not select a dessert because we were bursting on the amount of food we were served. Compliments to the chefs in the kitchen and our server's recommendations. I definitely recommend this place for ambiance, the variety and authenticity of the food, pleasant and professional staff. NOTE: to self - on Friday - Professional Belly Dancers entertainment. Dinner and a show! Enjoy the pictures!

Nicely decorated with a few art pieces for sale. Immediately seated and served. Started with the best ever grape leaves appetizer. The Shawarma wrap with a side of tzatziki sauce and fries. Wonderful Mediterranean food. Definitely recommended.

**INITIAL REVIEW** I…read moream currently on a Greek/Mediterranean food kick after eating it, which was fantastically made and indulged in, when I was at the Sponge Docks in Tarpon Springs, FL. To my delight, Melbourne Main Street a.k.a. Historic Downtown Melbourne finally had such food added to its food scene when Aya Mediterranean Cuisine (which I will shorthand simply to Aya for the remainder of this review) opened up. Eventually, I got to try Aya out albeit their lunch menu initially. What I got was a fantastic meal in which I long to try more of their fare. Aya is located on the northern side of New Haven Blvd. in Historic Downtown Melbourne. It is the last business on the west side of the train tracks, which used to be Continental Flambe if anyone remembers that. I went in at the latter end of Aya's lunch hours as they close around 2 p.m. to prepare for the dinner rush. The decor looks more like a rustic upscale tavern flanked by fine dining decor, both from the 1980s. Aya was clean with the space optimized to fit the most patrons during a rush, but the restaurant does need some TLC. Almost all the ceiling's tiles had water damage and the carpet was frayed. Not sure if this is something Aya can fix or if the landlord of the building is blocking them from doing renovations, but it is noticeable. To keep things simple, I ordered the Gyro Wrap ($13.99), which was seasoned beef and lamb with feta cheese, onions, lettuce, tomatoes and tzatziki sauce. Side options can be more traditional sit-down with rice or a salad (I assume it is a feta salad), but more of the "fast food" route with fries. I like how they deconstructed the wrap with the slices of beef and lamb, veggies, and sauce being separate, but assembled with pita cut into corners/chips. Yet, all the lamb and beef are on top of one small pita so you can add the veggies and sauce. And if you ordered fries, you can add them in too for the "food truck" experience. Not sure if Aya will allow you to use ketchup on a gyro wrap though. On a sidenote, there was a back "bar" area where alcoholic beverages are sold, and the restrooms - at least the men's restroom - was clean. Ultimately, Aya blends class with a family-feeling when eating at their restaurant. They even give more specification to their food as the generalization may be Greek/Mediterranean, but they have specialization in Lebanese and Moroccan cuisine, something I am sure the family whom owns it, spearheaded by the owner and chef Ziad Aseid, envisioned when they opened this restaurant. Despite the visual issues I found with the restaurant itself, Aya is a solid four-out-of-five stars for their initial review. If they are consistent with their food and service, I will give them their fifth star for consistency in an updated review.

Headline: $18 for a Veggie Sandwich? Overpriced, Authentic in Name Only, Where is the beef?!!…read more Save your money and check your food before you pay. I paid over $18 for a Shish Kafta sandwich that was basically all bread and garnish. I'm not exaggerating--there was barely a morsel of meat in every bite. It felt like a total rip-off!!! As someone who has worked in Middle Eastern kitchens for years, this was a massive letdown. Red flags from the start: the waitress claimed Shish Taouk (tawook) is the "fastest" item (proper chicken takes time!), and the cook wasn't even middle eastern and clearly had no idea what he was doing. The Tabbouli arrived dry and unseasoned, no lemon juice or even wedges??? I ordered the Shish Kafta ($18+), and it was an embarrassment. There was so little meat it was practically a salad wrap. When you pay nearly $20 for a sandwich, you expect a proper protein portion, not a "hint" of Kafta. No lemon, no napkins, no utensils, no attention to detail. This place relies on the name of the food without understanding the food combining principles of the recipe. Check your bag before you leave, or better yet, go elsewhere. The only thing that seemed authentic about this place is that the owner is arabic.

Chef Toni was actively turning people away who did not have a reservation because she simply cannot fit more guests into her restaurant.
