Lily's Mixed Grill Platter
Tamara M.

Great food, great service, small hole in the wall-ish restaurant. I am typically not a huge fan of Mediterranean food, but I'll definitely go back.

Gyro platter and hummus

First time eating food from here... it's very tasty!!! I needed to have some food delivered and was hungry for Mediterranean fare so I thought let me give Lily's a try. I ordered two gyro platters, one with fries and one with veggies ( we shared the fries and veggies. I was not disappointed, servings are huge, food is scrumptious and I definitely will eat here again!!! You should try it.

Lily's Hummus half eaten!!

Hands down best hummus and gyro meat I've ever eaten!! Parking is in the back off of Jimmy Buffet Hwy. it's close to the beach but you can't really see the ocean, but that ok because the food is awesome! I had the Lily's Hummus and added gyro meat. Creamy hummus, fresh cucumbers and tomatoes and the meat was tender and the best seasoning I've had in the states! Everyone around me was talking about how good their food was. It's walk up service and they bring it to you. There is a little patio out front. It was nice to seat outside and enjoy December weather in Florida!

Cold Meza Platter

Our service was exceptional...friendly and fast. Ambience is ULTRA casual. Restaurant appears to be a heavily high pick-up order or Grub Hub place. I must admit that I was skeptical, but being big middle eastern food fans new to the area, we tried Lily's Med Fresh Grill out and man was it good! We split the cold Meza and mixed grill platters...plenty of food for two people. Plenty of delicious offerings. Loved the falafel and hummus. The meats are delicious, juicy and tender, with charming seasonings. We will be back! Oh, in case you did not figure this out already, you should try Lily's if you have not yet....

Spicy potatoes

Lily's have changed my taste buds forever they atmosphere was amazing the chef had to fill in to wait on me and he did not disappoint it was my first time having tabbouleh and it was amazing I can't believe I went my whole life with out having it ! The hummus started the party off right and the Spicy chicken Gyro was spectacular! The spicy potatoes served with lemon wedges once I squeezed the lemon on top and dipped it in the hummus I took my tastebuds to another universe the portions sizes are big enough to share and because it was just me I had plenty left overs that I am more than excited to heat up ! I recommend this place to all if you are looking for great food great staff and an overall amazing experience

Do you see what I see (or don't see)

Really enjoyed our food. My wife had the Greek salad and I had the grilled chicken bowl. Both were outstanding!

Willow's Gluten-free Bakery

Willow's Gluten-free Bakery

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more This location is becoming known as the initial startup location for many bakeries, cakeries, and dessert shops. For me, I remember when Jackie's Bakery was here. Then it was occupied by the iconic The Sweet Heartist. Now, we have another bakery here, one that specializes in gluten-free baked goods, Willow's Gluten-Free Bakery. To be fair, the offerings that Willow's Gluten-Free Bakery (which I will shorthand to simply Willow's for the remainder of the review) is kind of paultry compared to their predecessors, but I must stress that when you take into account everything is gluten-free, it is quite a lot. As a matter of fact, I will even go as far to say that Willow's has it harder as baking gluten-free products is not an easy task, and you have to follow certain guidelines and rules if you want to really live up to he moniker of being "gluten-free." Though an address is given, most Brevardians know of the locale that Willow's is at if they happen to be a huge supporter of indie businesses. It always gives me a giggle that the business is right next to an Asian massage parlor, but I guess for an initial location, it is a price most businesses can't refuse. The location is still smallish and Willow's has to utilize what they have just like their predecessors. On the bakeshop floor, they have two display cases, a display table, and a pie case. There is no mention of the wares being gluten-free so it must be assumed that everything is gluten-free unless specially noted. To be fair, it would be hard to do both gluten and non-gluten wares in such a small space. The rule of thumb, from my knowledge as a baker working at Publix in the past, is that you can't use the kitchenware for regular baked goods with gluten-free wares and the kitchenware for gluten-free wares can only have gluten-free ingredients, ONLY! This prevents cross-contamination. In short, if Willow's uses a heavy duty mixer and they do gluten and gluten-free wares, they'll need to have two mixers in their tight space so that they don't mix. Also, the possibility of cross-contamination is very high in such a small baking area, too. What labels they do have are any extra added health details such as being free of nuts, soy, eggs, or being completely vegan. And the range is quite big for such desserts including donuts, cakes, pies, and cookies. I, myself, came here because they have a "Cinnamon Roll Flight," which was fantastic. The price was fair and the buns were not too big, not too small. Like Baby Bear's porridge, bed, and chair, they are "just right." And the taste? Exquisite. They tasted exactly like their flavors including pumpkin pie, maple bacon, regular, etc. Ultimately, the only gripe I have is its weird location and the hours they have, plus te lack of selection near the end of their operating hours, which is more on me than them. For now, I will give Willow's four out of five stars for their flavor, their excellent customer service, and the range of their gluten-free line. If Willow's remains consistent for, let's say about four more visits, I'll grant them their fifth star for consistency.

The outside seats were full and the sidewalk packed with spectators. The dining was empty so we had our pick of seats. We were greeted promptly and our server gave us plenty of time to review the menu while catching up. Our drinks were served quickly-I got a glass of sangria which was crisp and light, not overly sweet. The food was freshly prepared and served hot. Everyone raved about their choices. I got the vegan enchiladas and my husband got the nachos. Both were delicious. The enchiladas were topped with fresh shredded cabbage and tomatoes which gave enchiladas a nice crunch in each bite. The nachos were light-not overly drenched in cheese or cheese sauce like you find in most pubs nowadays. You could taste the vegetables. The dining room is cozy with a good view of the street. Everyone we spoke with was friendly and welcoming. If our vacation plans bring us to Deland again, I know they will include a visit to De laVega.

The second we walked in, the smell hit me like, "Cancel your goals. You live here now." Smoky, delicious, slightly illegal levels of good. We were greeted and seated by a super nice guy who said, "Patrick will be right with you." Two minutes later... Patrick shows up. Five minutes later... Patrick brings drinks. Ten minutes later... Patrick brings food. At some point I leaned over to Ross and whispered, "Where is the original guy?? Did Patrick eat him??" Nope. SAME MAN. Sir is host, server, possibly chef, and I'm 90% sure he rotated the earth slightly to speed up our service. Patrick sold me on the Prime Rib sandwich like a seasoned car salesman and I folded immediately. Ross got the loaded smokehouse sandwich because he likes to pretend he makes responsible decisions. The food came out fast and looking disrespectfully good. I blacked out somewhere between bite one and "I should stop." I did not stop. I have no regrets. My diet has filed a missing persons report. And let's circle back to Patrick--this man has the energy of three employees, a double espresso, and unresolved childhood dreams. I want whatever he's having. I would follow him into battle... or at least back for dessert. As The Terminator once said, "I'll be back." Mostly because I found out Patrick works Wednesday-Saturday... and apparently those are now my "nutritional delusion" days. Would 100% trust my GPS to ruin my plans again.
