I don't recall feeling like I just got robbed more than I just did walking out of this place. First of all they have sandwiches on the board with a price of 7.89 next to it but that's not the real price, and the woman got an attitude when I kept asking her why the price on the register doesn't match what's listed on the board. After I got tired of arguing I said whatever just give me the half of a sandwich that you are trying to charge me 10.75 for instead of just walking out which was my original plan. I get out to my car and open it up and I have never seen a more disgraceful excuse for a 10.75 half of a sandwich in my life. There was a pinch of processed sandwich meat chicken and the entire thing was bread. I would have satisfied my hunger better with a 4 piece nuggets from McDonalds. Went to this Panera for a couple of drinks n decided to get a couple of cookies too. Amy, the cashier was alittle off, she took the guy behind before asking me what I would like, when she got to me, she dint say anything like hello. Do u have a membership #, so I ordered my drinks, asked about the cookies and asked her if she wanted my membership info, she plugged it in and told me you get your stuff over there pointing to her right, thought that was odd cause she dint give me my cookies only the cups for my drinks, Amy ? I used to enjoy Panera. The coffee is ok. It's a good place to pick up bread and have it sliced to go. Lunch sandwiches are not that good anymore. Especially anything with chicken in it etc... They once opened up a small packet of bits of chicken and sprinkled a few morsels on a sandwhich.. it was creepy and weird to be part of that business approach - it was not inspiring. I would rather go to a local deli that roasts their own turkey and have it sliced on my favorite croissant or bread etc.. with favorite topping.. Not a Panera fan - except for a few things such as the onion soup inside a sourdough bread roll hallowed out.. but I grew tired of it. read more

I'm visiting for the summer, and there isn't a Panera close to where I live the remainder of the year. I haven't been to this Panera since last summer. Recently I attempted to order a grilled chicken sandwich and a box of the small chocolate chip cookies. Both items were available last summer. When I placed my order I was informed by the employee that "we don't have those items. You need to look at the posted menu." Gosh, it never occurred to me I needed to confirm that Panera continued to carry both items. Lesson learned, but your employee shouldn't assume that customers visit your restaurant on a regular basis. In addition, there was a more diplomatic way to handle my request by stating she was sorry that those items were no longer available and was there anything else I wanted. Diplomacy and stellar customer service go a long way in any type of a restaurant. Providing excellent training to employees is the smart thing to do, if you want to retain customers. I have always liked Panera Bread and have probably been to about 8 locations of this franchise over the years. All of those would have warranted 3 stars for being decent, clean, quick and affordable while never overwhelming. This particular location seemed to draw my ire on multiple occasions in one trip - not a good sign. Gripe 1 - Please name one place in the ENTIRE WORLD that has a kids meal that does not come with a drink...waiting...waiting. You probably can't think of one because that would be absolutely ludicrous, right? Apparently not at Panera Bread where the kids meal comes with the meal and a side...and no drink. Most people unknowingly order the drink separately, but it is not included. Gripe 2 - If you don't like your job at Panera or feel the lunch rush is too much, go work somewhere else. When you deliver a sandwich with the bread not even on top, but smushed on the side, exposing the entire contents of the sandwich, you have taken no care to even try to make this sandwich look put together. No, this was not an open face sandwich, it was a Cuban - of all sandwiches, a Cuban should be pressed together not with the top of the bread barely covering the ham. Gripe 3 - When you get an order for a kids meal - turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo and you only go 2 for 5 (40 %), you suck. I had to check the receipt to make sure I ordered it correctly and I did. There was bread, turkey and cheese slapped together in possibly the most inedible fashion with none of the requested condiments. When I brought it back, it was fixed, but grudgingly as if I was being a pain. It's not that hard to just make it ok at a fast casual place, but this Panera could not even do that. read more

The food is rather good, in line with every other Panera. Their staff is satisfactorily competent at pressing buttons and ladling out soup. The fact that I've never found any evidence of hair or bodily fluids in the food is the sole reason I'm rating them so high. However, if you're the type of person who likes to order food and then receive exactly what you ordered, I suggest you skip this place and dine elsewhere. Not good food. Table was dirty took several requests for someone to clean. Was with my 95 year old aunt so getting up and moving to another table was not an option. Husbands tomato soup was awful. Very sweet and gloppy. Campbells is much better and less sweet. My salad was just ok. Aunts creamy tortellini with chicken was awful and she could not eat it. Very salty with sad shreds of chicken cold cut on top. Dry with very little sauce. If i could give zero stars i would. $35 for mostly inedible food. read more

Worst service ever. After waiting on a line for 20 minutes to order Irish soda bread the girl at the register tells me they won't get it in until April. Tried to explain to her it's only for the st. Patrick's day weekend but she refused to listen or ask for help. When i tried to get the manager to help because i only had a half hour lunch break he rudely told me if i want the bread go wait on line and tell the cashier my order. Terrible customer service. I've called this place three times in the last month for takeout orders. The first time, they forgot one of the sandwiches I ordered and I didn't think to check the bag before I left. I had to drive all the way back to get it. The second time they didn't follow directions on the order and gave us the wrong items... that was strike 2. Yesterday I called to place an order - they told me 15 minutes. I arrive and give them my name for the order and it was never put in the system. I can't deal with incompetence so I will not be returning. Managemet needs to be fired and replaced along with the entire staff. They need to hire people that understand how to take orders and deliver them the way customers want. read more

My son loves our panera in Queens. Sadly, we tried this Panera and it was very disappointing. The lady did tell me that all Paneras are different, but at least there should be some standard. The soup was not good, sandwiches were not great and the salads (I tried two) were really bad. It is sad because it could be a nice healthy option to tale my kids. I stop in here often for soup and half a sandwich all the time. Love the black bean soup and the frontega chicken panini. I also love the tomato basil bread loaf. I work at the panera in patchogue and not ONCE do they question you when you ask for a piece of bread. This panera took my friends apple back when she asked for a piece of bread when they could've let her keep it and on top of that take the piece of bread. Nice place for a quick bite to eat, I have always had friendly cashiers and the manager is a real nice guy who seems to really want the place to do well. My food was always good. I will say one bad thing, the desserts are usually all dried up from being left out too long and without a cover on them, I hate that they do that because their desserts, when fresh, are actually quite good. read more
