Went here while traveling out east. Wasn't busy when we went around 10. Ordered the hungry man breakfast hero. It was very good and filling. My family has been enjoying food from here for over 15 years! It's our favorite location for heroes, lunch and dinner platters! Service is always friendly and the food is always fresh. Visiting from out of town and asked what their go-to sandwich is. They recommended The Hurricane Sandwich which I'm now recommending to you. Huge selection of sandwiches, drinks, breakfast options--all the works of a great deli. Delicious, friendly service, and has that classic deli/sandwich shop look where you know the food will slap. Country Heroes make a very good sandwich, they always slice the meat as ordered and the bread is always fresh. The place is always maintained very clean. The staff is always trying their best to expedite orders quickly but this place gets very busy. So be patient...always good for a quick lunch.... read more

Five stars because they are the best in class. The egg sandwiches are what all others are measured by - best in town at any price, except these are half of what they charge at the delis in town. Heroes are terrific as well. The Italian hero is simply perfect, but the real genius is in the named menu combinations that set Long Island delis apart from anywhere else in the country. You could - and should - spend an entire summer trying a different one every day, you cannot go wrong in here. read more

The food is great with good delivery time. However. The first thing that hits me when I walk in is a disgusting mold smell that reminds me of the bilge on my boat, the second thing I see is mismatched flickering florescent lights then my table feels sticky. Also the Ac unit looks 50 years old and on a 75 degree day it is hot and stuffy in there. Overall, how the hell did this place pass inspection and how am I supposed to enjoy their good food in a bad environment. read more

I often stay out of delis on the east en out of fear of over paying and not getting what i paid for . I reluctantly stopped into Country Heroes this weekend with no other options and being crunched for time. After taxes my Hero was just under 12$ , 11.95 i believe. I thoroughly enjoyed it, it was filling and everything on it including dressing was perfectly portioned and the bread was great, the not so secret ingredient to a good hero. Things aren't cheap these days and i get that, but walking away feeling you don't get what you paid for is the worst, that wasn't the case here, ill be back in my work travels again. I wasn't thrilled with the idea of cash only and debated taking a star off just for inconvenience factor but the sandwich was so good i looked past it . read more

We ordered eggplant paninis and yuck! We expected the eggplant to be fried to at least a slight crisp. Instead it was mush. And the panini bread tasted burnt. Needless to say, we will not be ordering this again. read more

This place has the absolute best Italian hero on the East End! Hands-down! I drive out of my way just to go get one! And it's huge! I haven't ordered anything else on the menu because this is so good... Although I've seen the other sandwiches and everything looks and smells amazing! A good and typical sandwich shop. I recommend planning to go here if you're planning to eat a sandwich. The location is good for a sandwich to go but there are not a lot of seating options. They have a pretty good standard selection of typical sandwiches and subs. The Billy Ray or the Hurricane stands out the most from the typical spread of choices a sandwich shop offers. read more

Everything about this deli deserves 5 stars. The food was off the chain. They have a very large selection of unique heroes; something to satisfy any type of craving. On top of that, the employees were so nice. Nothing better than employees that take pride in their job at a place that serves great food! You can also sit down and eat. Amazing deli! read more

The food is good but service was junk today. I ordered a hero by Saying I want the one with eggplant and cheese. The girl on the phone goes the godmother. So I was like ok thinking she knew which sandwiches she sold since that's her job. I get home to turkey. I bring it back to return it and they try to charge me again for the hero I actually ordered and hadn't received !!! The supervisor comes out to ask the girl what happened on the phone and of course she goes she ordered the godmother. I don't care what weird names they call their heroes I just asked for eggplant and they tried to blame and double charge me. Customer service is non existent and its cash only. read more

This is the 1st time I ordered lunch here - I am not sure about their sandwiches & I hope they are better than what I ordered. I ordered a chicken caesar salad, which should be made with romaine lettuce, croutons, grated parmesean cheese & pcs of grilled chicken. What this was was a regular salad with field greens, tomatoes, red onion & sliced chicken & caesar dressing. If I wanted that I would have ordered a regular salad. read more

I ordered the vegetarian hero with "the works" and was expecting something great. It was literally just lettuce and tomatoes with dressing on a hero. That is not a sandwich, it's just garnish! To the owners: I understand that you probably think vegetarians only eat salad but that is not true. At least make some sort of effort to make a decent vegetarian option. Maybe add peppers, mushrooms, eggplant, avocado, cheese, etc. I probably should have asked what was in the hero, but I can assure you, nobody wants to eat a lettuce and tomato sandwich. Nobody. My husband ordered a chicken hero which he said was good, and the place was very busy with locals, so I assume their meet options are tasty. Next time I will have to be specific with what I want on the sandwich. read more

Love this place and eat here probably every time I'm in the area. The menu is extensive and is filled with delectable treats. Grand Canyon? Yes, please. Fishwich? Don't mind if I do! Down Under? You better believe it. Whatever suits your fancy. You can have the sandwiches prepared any way -- on a hero, half a hero, in a wrap, on bread/toast, whatever. You can even order off-menu (within reason of ingredients likely to be available in a sandwich shop). The funnel cake fries are not to be missed! read more

Yummy, my favorite deli in Westhampton, and a great spot to pick up heros on your way to the beach. I would make recommendations on what I love: Their honey mustard is delicious and their garlic bread special with roast beef is amazing (get extra gravy if you are feeling compelled to be stuffed), but I have never had anything that was not good here. I think they only take cash here, so make sure you have it! Also, they have a few tables to sit if you choose. Love this spot. read more

He described it as beef. He was very happy that the burger was cooked a medium rare as he asked as many places don't cook it as so, very pleasant. My friend Josh got the fish and chips. He thought it was very good The fish and chips had a good crunch to it. He said " the fish was amazing and crispy, you can tell it was beer battered. The fries were so fresh and so delicious amazing experience. The buffalo chicken shrimp is really good my friends said so basically everyone was very happy with their meal I recommend the fish tacos I loved them! Definitely check this place out if you're in the area for good sea food, cheers!

I tried to call John Scott's to see if they're open around this time of year. Online it says open…read moreuntil 10pm. But when I call, it says "we're sorry, your call did not go through." I decided to drive over there anyway. When I arrived, the parking lot was empty and the restaurant looked closed. It's Presidents Day weekend so perhaps they are on vacation. Either way, the status needs to be updated online. Disappointed.
