Sean's place is the only place i go to for sandwiches when i am in town. The place is small and always packed with lines out the door. That's a sign of a wonderful place. There are a variety of items to choose from to make that perfect breakfast, or lunch sandwich. The food is always fresh and if you want the sandwich made a certain way ( i don't eat eggs) just tell them. The staff are very pleasant and always give service with a smile. Yesterday I had the Starboard hot sandwich. It was beyond disgusting. Threw it out. The whole sandwich had to be microwaved. The meat was bland, dry, and mozzarella stuck to the bread. Do not order. It was gross. For $16.93 to be exact they should be ashamed serving garbage. read more

It's amazing to find so much good stuff coming out of this small and unassuming Southampton deli. The bbq offerings are nicely seasoned, flavorful and tender, especially the pork ribs. But it's the fried chicken that keeps me coming back. The owner (Sean, I presume) is this super nice guy always manning the counter, looking to throw in a few extras here and there. The man certainly knows how to fry his chicken. Nice and crispy outside, juicy and succulent inside. Some of the sides may need some work, and the presentation is not very appetizing, that you cant really tell that the items presented are actually delicious. The place is clean, the service is friendly and efficient, prices are fair and, above all, the quality is definitely there. read more

Stopped in today on a whim, and after reading all the great reviews on Yelp. The two heroes we got were pretty large and tasted OK, but were nothing spectacular. The Jorge's Cheese Steak I got didn't have much in terms of Cheese or Onions and it was kind of bland. My girlfriend's Chicken with Mozzarella and Honey Mustard was tasty, but lacked meat and was swimming in mustard. Overall it was OK, but for a $12 hero I expected a bit of a better flavor. You've got to be joking. THIS is the infamous Sean's Place?!? As someone who grew up here and live here year-round, I've heard about how "amazing" their sandwiches are, sike. Disclaimer: I am a vegetarian so maybe their meat sandwiches are better, but if your $11 (but actually $14.11?!?) veggie and cheese sandwich tastes like nothing, there's a problem. But I digress. Their menu makes absolutely no sense. 2 eggs on a roll is $3.50. Add cheese it's .50, bacon, $2. Then why are the breakfast sandwiches labeled as $8? You're really going to tell me that adding tomato costs $2?? This is one of the reasons why I went with a lunch sandwich but I should have just walked out. I ordered Kat's idea because it was the only thing on the menu that kind of interested me. I was asked if I wanted it hot or cold and ordered it hot. The vegetables were cold and the cheese was warmer than holding temp, but still not technically "warm". The vegetables were bland and the balsamic "glaze" was probably just balsamic vinaigrette. The size of the sandwich was reasonable for $11 but the total was actually $14.11. Why? There's apparently a sign on the front window saying that all sales add a 4% service charge. I was informed of this and on my way out looked for the sign. It's literally the sign of my finger with 4pt font. If you want happy customers, wouldn't you rather display that sign in a place that's visible instead of deciding them? I have no problem with spending $20 on lunch but being sneaky probably hurts more in the long run. There are plenty of cheaper (and better) lunch spots in the area. On my most recent (and now last) visit to the Job's Lane location, I noticed a little sign (slightly bigger than the fortune in a fortune cookie) taped to the door. It read "CUSTOMER PRICING NOTICE - A 4% Customer service charge is applied to all store sales at this location." ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? A service charge for what? This review is long overdue. "Jorge's Famous Cheese Steak and Italian Hero" is ridiculously delicious. Easily cracked my top 5 of sandwiches I have ever had. I was completely sober when I ate it, which makes its deliciousness even more impressive. We came at an odd hour, on a weekday, so there was no line at all. Judging by the taste, I would imagine they can get pretty crowded during rush hour. This location is geared more for take out orders, but they do have a few seats and a couple tables out front. There is a second location close by, which I believe is more of a sit down type restaurant The service was excellent, and the staff all did a great job of providing a "Mom and Pop" atmosphere that was very laid back and friendly. I do not know when I will be back in the area, but will definitely stop in again the next time I am. Highly recommended to anyone within a 3 hour drive... you will not regret it. read more

Just moved to Southampton and I was looking for a cheap place to eat. Cheap in the Hamptons means something under $20. After seeing the mouth-watering pictures I was sold and headed over. Who doesn't love a great sandwich! I ordered a BLT on a roll with a small bag of chips and got my friend a philly cheesesteak and a small bag of chips. Total = $25! Whoever said this is a single $ place is very much mistaken. My BLT was not a let-down though and was magnificent in all it's crispy bacon glory. No soggy pieces here. The cheesesteak sandwich was big and the pieces of meat were chopped with perfection. I love and prefer the slices of American cheese instead of that can-cheese stuff. The problem was the steak was way way too salty. My other friend ordered the same thing and it was also way too salty. I ended up taking the rest of my friends' and adding more cheese and lettuce to cut the oversaltiness. Maybe it was just that day? I was still a fan. Overall, I really like this place and would try other specials. It's not 5 stars because this place is pricey. Even the employees told me that everything in this town is overpriced. Sean's Place is a must whenever in Southampton. Especially around breakfast time. The egg sandwiches are a staple of any successful work day and be sure to ask for the homemade hot sauce. It'll not only enhance your breakfast treat but melt your face a little. Tons of lunch specials throughout the week but I'm partial to the burgers. Just don't expect to be really hungry come dinner time. The staff is great and always attentive. If Sean's there he's more than happy to chat with you as your food is being made. Great ppl.
