I recommend that…read moreanyone who wants this sandwich to confirm this when you order because it appears some of his staff are unaware. This place serves mid food for insane prices and we only go there because there's few options nearby to grab lunch before hopping on the Jitney. Every pastry I've had there is mediocre. Every lunch I've had there is mediocre, but in this case it was a little less than mediocre. The sandwich was incredibly dry, needed sauce, dressing, mayo, something. Instead they buttered the bread??? Who butters a lunch sandwich. The lettuce and tomato at least provided some (albeit limited) moisture. Pasta salad was fine.

My insides sang such happy songs while I devoured my panini. So much so that after leaving the Cafe I said to myself that I still have my discount from post wedding registry I ordered a panini maker off of Williams Sonoma. That's how damn good the panini was. The coleslaw was meh but the standout was the panini. So much so I've already made a mental note depending what time I leave Montauk after my annual work trip I may stop in here. I don't care if I sit by myself because it was that good. Golden Pear you can count on me coming back for more!

I mostly get some cooked stuff here like their fried chicken, shrimp, rice and more and it was delicious! Their grocery items is pretty expensive. I remember getting less than 10 items for $100+ already. Then again its the Hamptons. I really like that they also have space to eat outdoors. Staff are friendly and very helpful too. If you're visiting around here, this is a good place to grab some cooked stuff and bring it to the beach or picnic!

Everyone always gripe about their pricing, but everyone still uses them, lol. I guess Loaves and Fishes should thank their friend, Ina Garten (the Barefoot Contessa) for publicizing it as one of her favorite places in the Hamptons. It's definitely expensive, but so are most other places in Sagaponack, and the surrounding area. I've had a wide variety of their food at gatherings. Top notch and always really fresh. However, I must say that the in-store selection is pretty limited. I get that the store itself is small, yet cute, but just know that the food options are fairly minimal. For our first visit, we got some typical picnic foods (fried chicken, cold deli salads, etc.). We also got a very small portion of their lobster salad. I've always liked it, and just wanted a small taste. I say small because it went for something like $75/pound. I've been told that it can go for $100/pound. For me, that's ridiculous. There's no high end caviar on it or anything, lol. Honestly, I've had my go-to spot for lobster salad here, and this place is NOT it. I've always loved their desserts. Like every single thing I've ever tried. But, at the store, I got a slice of meringue cake that they just brought out, and it was THE BEST!! Omg, it reminds me of meringue cakes I've had in Europe, but could never find as good in the States. I'd be willing to pay anything for THIS. Haha. On our first visit, customer service was great. On our second visit, the employee (an older woman) was really unpleasant. She didn't even want me taking pictures of the store (not of her). Strange.
