My Wife and I visited this Panera Bread on a recent Friday night here in Gresham. It was close to closing time, and I know the people that had been working hard all day were probably pretty tired, and ready to go home. However, the employees were anything but impatient, or in a hurry to leave. In fact, from the very first minute we entered the restaurant, we were treated with enthusiasm and smiles from the two wonderful employees that helped take our order! Their names were Mackenzie & Hanna if I remember correctly. They were friendly, helpful and just a delight ! My wife and I have been coming here for years. There has been much improvement in the last few months. We always take our order home. Recently it has been correct every time. Thank you. Previously we had to check every time and always found an error. So glad that has changed. Food is great, soups are delicious. Seasonal suger cookies with royal icing are super yummy. Thought we would give Panera a try. Downloaded the app and ordered for pick up. We were supposed to get a free brownie as a gift for joining. The food wasn't on the pickup shelf when I went in to pick up the order. When we got home, we found that the brownie was missing. Called the national help line for Panera and they were no help at all. Supposedly the local franchise would be contacted by the national office. The price you pay for what you get is highway robbery. Thought the salads would be bigger for that price. The dressing tasted stale. Not impressed. read more

Panera is my morning mainstay when I have a meeting or need to get ahead on some work. This location was empty, the cashier was rude and slow to the single person ahead of me. While waiting I put my materials down and went to use the restroom. Came back to be ignored for a few minutes the. They did not have two of the items that are usual fare. (Eggs and Turkey Sausage) Again a very disappointing experience! Manager did not seem very apologetic. A bad egg in a restaurant group that is usually consistent. read more

The service was no so good. The cashier had an attitude towards my girlfriend and my sandwich that which was the steak and American cheddar had a funny taste to it n the bread was cold. As well as the macaroni and cheese that I ordered was unsatisfying. Coming over from California to service like that it really disappoints me. Not likely to visit any Panera anytime soon. read more

To all NYC Panera customers BEWARE FYI Panera's delivery service IS run by Uber and you are required to go down and retrieve your order from the bicycle delivery man.....he said he didn't have a lock for his bike. I called and a women said that it is there policy that they do not bring your order to your office. I believe we order delivery so we don't have to go down and pick up our food. Evidently Panera knows nothing about corporate world in NYC. AND YOU ALREADY TIPPED HIM WHEN YOU PLACED YOUR FOOD ORDER. Guess this is why the UBER CEO is a billionaire!! read more

The cashier had to be tracked down and they did not have the pumpkin muffins that was advertised in their menu. However, from what I saw the place looked clean.8/18/16 I stopped by here today and had Thai chicken salad and it was okay. They had one pumpkin muffin left that I gladly bought. It tasted very good. The cashier was very pleasant although I don't agree with the prices on some of the items. The pumpkin muffins keep me coming back. Perhaps I'll learn how to make them on my own. read more

The food was great but the prices were very high, especially given the less-than-stellar service we received during our dine-in experience. When we arrived at 4:10 there was one customer seated and no one waiting to order. We weren't greeted upon arrival. The menu provided no descriptions of the dishes, so we had to ask the order taker to describe those items whose names were intriguing enough for us to maybe be interested in. Our order was prepared in a reasonable amount of time, but it sat in the window so long waiting for someone to bring it to our table that my wife walked up to the window to retrieve it. She was told that someone would bring it to us, but she explained that she was already there and might as well take it back to the table with her rather than waiting any longer. Still, there was only one other customer in the restaurant. Upon arriving to the table with our meal, my wife discovered that she had received the wrong soup. She had to go to the window again, this time to get the right soup. If we had received the same food and the same service at half the price, my rating would probably be 4 stars. Given that Panera charges a premium price, however, I expect a premium experience when I visit. I didn't get it. Very disappointing. read more

Definitely one of my favorite places to grab lunch. Everyone there is always so friendly & they always make the best broccoli cheddar soup. Their membership card is great definitely saved some money with it. It's so peaceful there. read more

Food was yummy and I was impressed at how quickly we were served and received our food during the lunch rush. It was about 20 bucks for the two of us, but it did include two pastries we couldn't resist buying. Perhaps we were just blind, but there didn't appear to be a place with extra utensils so we had to ask the busy kitchen staff for a knife. Shoutout to Panera for their customer service today. I came in kinda hangry and did not know what I wanted and the sweet girl at the counter (I'm guessing she's a new hire judging by her name tag) let me take my time and answered all my crazy questions until I figured out what I wanted. Then while I was happily enjoying my soup, an older couple near me was brought their food and the gentleman INSISTED. That he had been given Swiss cheese instead of white cheddar. The employee that brought the food simply said "I'm so sorry, they look really similar so I'm sure it was a mistake, let me get you the right cheese." Such a short and good response. Very nice staff. I swear they put crack in the baguettes, so much better than the grocery store. Great salads and soups, especially squash and the turkey chili. Sometimes find a new favorite and then they discontinue, so disappointing. Love the tea selections for ice and hot. If slightly cheaper I would eat here several times a week. Love the pumpkin muffins and Chai latte for breakfast. Nine grain loaf sliced thick is a great take-home. Love the chains practice of giving back and donating excess food to shelters. read more

Got soup and Mac N cheese , and broccoli cheddar soup .... paid $25 for them to be cold and then they made ME WARM THEM UP IN THE MICROWAVE MYSELF. Who pays $25 and then warms the food up themselves in the restaurant! Never coming back. read more

Every time I come I get crappy service except when attended by about 3 people out of all their employees there. The only reason I continue to come back is because there are certain employees who go above and beyond. Today had to have been the worst day to eat here by far. 40 minutes later & super hungry we realized people who had literally just sat down were getting their food and we hadn't gotten at least eye contact from a single employee. I think the worst part was when they said they hadn't even started our food and hadn't even realized we were still missing our food. Once we finally asked for our money back the manager didn't even seem to feel bothered that she had just lost a $20 sale. Once again I say, I only come when certain people are working. Hazel is the best. Everyone else gives you anywhere from 'meh' service to 'I should've just ate a bagel at home' service. If I could give it any less stars, I would. read more

If I could rate this location more than 5 stars I would. Food was incredibly fresh and good, but what I was most impressed with were the people. In only being there a short period of time to pick up an order, I encountered several warm and friendly people, ready to bend over backwards to help me. I was overcharged for soup. Who seriously pays $5.79 for chicken and rice soup?! I specifically said a cup. The robot working the front must be working her first job ever, very stiff. I was surprised also that the manager was very young and unfriendly. She said if i was going to eat the whole thing there would be no refund. She asked me why i have the bowl in front of me and why i was eating it. I told her the cook was nice enough to give me my food i had ordered and he said that he would take care of the price difference for me. I told the manager that i was sick so im sure the boy was just being considerate. Also why make someone wait on their food while you correct one of your employees mistakes? Her customer service skills are backwards. Who put Emily in this management position??? Emily proceeded to then walk away from me with my receipt never to return. I did not bus my own table like i normally would have. They can use my $1.80 to clean my table for me. Food is outrageously over priced. Service is ran by morons. I will never return. I will only talk bad of this location to others. I hope $1.80 was worth loosing a customer Emily. read more

This place has really good bagles and an assortment of cream cheese for a good price, we've been coming here since it opened and my issue is the one cashier working to serve every single person in the morning! Seriously? There was a line about 6 people long today and she got 4 orders wrong, most likely because she was completely frazzled from having no help. The lack of employees working at the front make me want to go somewhere else. Please hire more help! read more

The food is always good exactly what I expect, working in the service industry I usually give the service quite a few chances with how they treat me. The kitchen people are always nice smiling happy, very helpful, and tell me to have a good day and all of that. The cashiers (for the most part, there are a couple good ones) are usually short, somewhat rude, and look like they hate their job more than a normal person hates their job. They rarely smile and just makes me want to order and be done with them. read more

A neighborhood power outage had me looking for a place to relax for a while. Because I have had good experiences with other Panera restaurants, I came here. It was terribly cold inside (think wearing beanies and jackets inside) and the wifi was basically useless it was so slow. Normal Panera good food and service earned it two stars. read more

Service is a hit or miss, but a great place for a gloomy afternoon brunch with the best desserts.

We usually love Panera, great food, but the Gresham location sucks. Been here 3 or 4 times and they have yet to get our order completely correct. The counter staff is always unfriendly and could care less about doing a good job or making customers happy. Tonight was the last time we will ever go back to this location after the kid behind the counter rolled her eyes at us after we tried to explain 3 times that we wanted the Pick 2. I am a long term Panera customer (all locations). Only second time in this one. I ordered, asked for bread as my side with butter. When food came no butter. So ask again for butter. Oh I got butter but I guess I was supposed to spread it on with my finger so I had to go get a knife. I had a BLT with avocado. It was good. Great portion. Bacon was way over cooked. Side bread not up to Panera's usual par. After finishing eating, a server came by and ask if they could remove our plates. Nice gesture. She moved them to the other side of the table nd left them there! My eating partner didn't get what she ordered but chose to not mention it. I bring a lot of clients to Panera's all over the tri counties of Oregon and to the WA location. I am often introducing people to a place they have not been to before. Many of these people will not come back. This is the second time I have brought clients to this one. The service could step it up a notch. One more positive thing, the atmosphere and seating (in the windowed area) is great. The back (dark area) is okay for study or reading. I liked the atmosphere. read more

Called in the morning to make sure they had soufflés because this place is an extra 20 min drive before work for me. They said yes so I decided to make the trip because their soufflés are delicious! Got here about an hour later, two girls at the front were talking about another girl they work with and didn't say a word to me for about three minutes then finally said "someone will help you soon". Cool, no biggy I'm just hungry haha well cashier comes out a couple minutes later and says "sorry, I didn't see you there!" STILL no biggy I just wanna eat :) then she tells me they only have ham and cheese soufflés and it will be a thirty minute wait. Now I'm pissed and never coming back (I come here often to buy my coworkers and myself big breakfasts so this sucks). Should have gone to nasty McDonald's. read more

Nice employees but when you in line for food at 6:30pm on a Friday and the customers in front of are repeatedly annoyed because MANY (like half) of the regular menu items are SOLD OUT you have to expect the management is unqualified or obviously failing at their job. read more

This was my first time at Panera bread. First of all super over priced. I got a Thai flatbread and a Thai salad. The flatbread was small than an authentic taco tastes good. The salad was terrible I paid 6$ for 8 bites of salad. The cashier was way too rehearsed and you could tell she hates working there. I asked what was in the salad and she told me I asked for no edeme. When I got home and looked at my salad it had what I asked not to have. Also had a bunch of other stuff in there that she didn't mention. And I hated the salad I actually didn't even eat it. Never again will I go here. So disappointed. read more

I do like Panera Bread. I always order online, get the pick two and I think it is a fairly good deal. The food is fresh and I like how you can customize your orders easily. However, I have a concern with their accuracy. I only get 30 minutes for my lunch break and order via the rapid pick up so that I do not have to wait in the often times long lines. You simply walk in, find your bag sitting on the shelf, and leave. However, after doing this a few times over a years span I can truthfully say that at least 3/4 of the time my order is either totally wrong, or they have not included my drink cup. Therefore, I have to stand in line to get it corrected. The whole point of the rapid pick up is in the name -- RAPID. I do not have 5-10 minutes to waste waiting for them to acknowledge me standing there, with my to go bag, to get a simple drink cup. As I mentioned, I like that you can customize, but sometimes these requests do not fulfilled. If I add avocado and pay $1 for that extra, I expect it to be on my order. Today they forgot my cup and the guy at the front counter sighed in disgust when I asked for it (after waiting 5 minutes in line). Hopefully this was because he was as annoyed as I am with the inconvenience. I guess I will have to start putting "DON'T FORGET MY CUP" in the special instructions when I order and see if this helps. :( read more

The problem is service. We occasionally visit the Panera Bread in Gresham (and we probably still will) for coffee and a pastry. Less often, we have a meal there. Its okay, but it always seems a little disappointing for the money spent. Today the service was not good! When ordering, the man at the counter had a hard time explaining the coupon that we brought in. When our food was ready, I went up to the counter where food is handed out and stood there waiting for about 30 seconds with my pager flashing and vibrating. The pager quit doing its thing and I still waited for about a minute for someone to give me our order. I think he must have been having a bad day from his mannerisms and the expression on his face. I believe that the same bad attitude in the store is what led to handing me a plate with food stuck on the bottom. I understand how attitude, service and professionalism are learned from management. I believe the management there needs to pay a little more attention to the customer's needs and expectations. read more
