We finally gave up trying to place an order online for pickup after half a dozen attempts ( that represents 6 lost revenue opportunities ). Tonight we decided to go there and place an order. We started an order on the kiosk and then noticed that nothing was available - everything was "sold out." Meanwhile 3 other customers came in and got in line at the register. We got in line to order and when we got our chance, we informed the employee that the kiosk wasn't working. He said that he knew!!!! Why was there no sign to inform customers? I usually don't write bad reviews but I hope with criticism comes change. I am part of the "sip club" and visit Paneras all over so cal with my job . Every single time I go into this location something is lacking . Sometimes it's the tea is empty , sometimes it's the bagels are gone ( at 11am ) , the bakery items always look like the space is too big for what they have to sell, the ice is empty, It always looks like it's just about to close and they don't care that what they have to offer is inadequate. This Panera location is quite spacious. Lots of seating available. Definitely easier to find a table inside or outside on the patio than it is to find parking. With that being said, if you don't mind walking an extra 50 feet you can actually park behind the Panera. Who woulda known, right? I've been here plenty of times to catch up with friends who live in the deep OC and we've enjoyed ourselves every time. Clean environment, quick service, sweet staff. Frequent visiter at paneras, but its a hit and miss with the taste. I usually get the chicken frontega, which needs more taste and is sometimes smothered by tomatoes or the burnt taste of the bread and the caesar salad, which I absolutely love, though I wish they weren't so stingy with the dressing. Best thing here for me is the caesar salad, since the dressing always makes the salad. As a panera card member, random freebies are the awards, and today, i was looking at the cranberry orange smoothie that was hanging from the ceiling and the cashier said my freebie today was a free drink, and I chose the smoothie. Because I don't like the taste of yogurt too much, this was a bad choice, which was more yogurt than cranberry or oranges. I like the bagels here in Panera, definitely recommend the cinnamon flavor. The price of each bagel is a bit higher than a regular bagel. If you care about the price, then you definitely don't want to get bagels here. But I like how I can spend time reading my books, using internet with just a purchase of a bagel + coffee,I think it's worth of the price. This place is amazing for anything sandwich bread related. I've always been a fan of Corner Bakery over Panera but that's all changed ever since I've tried their whole menu! Not only does Panera excel at salads and made-in-house dressings, but their paninis ROCK, as in they're awesome, and their baked desserts are almost magical. I'm not much of a sweet tooth so I really enjoy their lightly fresh-baked cookies and breads. Service here is usually great and friendly, I enjoy being a customer here and support their cleanly cafe-type ambiance. My first time at this location and it did not dissapoint. The girl walking around picking up plates was probably the friendliest of all the staff. While ordering my food the girl at the register was in such a hurry screwed up my order, i came with my mom wanting to do the pick 2 which we both wanted instead just gave us one thing each. There was literally no one behind us yet she wanted to snack on her food behind the register. Because of the screw up, we got a free sandwich and pasty for the wait. Ordered the turkey chili bread bowl, chili is my favorite and the mixture of this hot soup and bread was yummy. My apple was fresh and the selection of tea's were my absolute favorite. One last thing, because this seems to be a student hang out spot for studying i would suggest the restrooms to be cleaned more often, i would prefer not to see tampons on the floor read more

Here's the thing: I go to Panera at least once a week. I typically order online at the Pico Rivera location and they never mess up my order. However, I came to this one today because I have class later and decided to drop in for a quick meal and to get some studying in. I ordered the You Pick 2: Tomato Soup upgraded to a cup, and a Southwest Salad, replace chicken with steak (which is extra) and replace the feta with Fresh Mozzarella (which is also extra.) This is my regular order and it's my favorite. Here's my gripe: first off, the cashier specifically asked me sliced or fresh mozzarella. I told him fresh mozzarella and I have the receipt to prove that I did not misspeak and he did not misunderstand. When my salad came out, which also took way longer than normal, I was upset because guess which cheese they put in? They put in the feta which I had made clear to the cashier to take out. See, I wouldn't be this upset if my mozzarella was actually in it. But it wasn't. So I stood up, took my salad over to the counter, and was ready to ask for my mozzarella. One of the employees stopped me and asked what was wrong. I told him I asked for fresh mozzarella and he goes, "oh yes, I accidentally put the feta in there. Let me get you the mozzarella." I go back to my seat and he comes out with a small container of mozzarella and tells, "That there is fresh mozzarella! Enjoy your meal." Okay, if you have ever had fresh mozzarella at Panera, or any place for that matter, you know that fresh mozzarella balls come in squishy little white balls. What I got was sliced mozzarella ripped up into little pieces. Please understand that these two have entirely different flavors. They messed up in two places: one, they didn't tell me they messed up my order when they brought my food out to me. The ticket clearly read fresh mozzarella and it didn't have any. Two, this employee, who appears to be the manager, tried to pass off the sliced mozzarella as fresh mozzarella. He didn't apologize for messing up my order. Nothing. I am so livid that this happened. He kept going on about how he couldn't take my salad to the back. He knew he messed up the feta when I had walked up to him to have it fixed. He could've taken it to the back prior to bringing it out to me. I am never coming back to this branch. read more

This is a pretty good Panera, first time here, and I received pretty helpful service when ordering a small snack. I ordered a muffin that had crumbles on top and cinnamon swirls in the middle. It was very delicious. I sat down in one of the middle booths, since there was plenty of seating anyway, and spent my time there studying and reading. The internet speed is pretty good, as I was able to load all my lessons rather quickly. Overall great Panera to chill, or work on things. Great plus if you come with other people too. read more

Unbelievable! Worst service ever. Placed an online order in the morning for about 10 lunch boxes to be ready by noon -- $150 worth or so. Panera commits to an 11:50 AM pick up time -- they WOULDN'T deliver because the "order was too big!!". We arrive to pick up the food and they can't find the order, food is not ready and they say it will take another 30 minutes "or so" because they are "backed up." This is their business and they can't pack 10 lunch boxes with ample notice? The staff was rude. The order was finally ready for pick-up 45 minutes later. We got back to the office only to find out that they missed items on the order. They would not answer their phone, so we had to send staff back over to pick up the missing items. This impacted our entire meeting schedule at the office. Such poor, poor management by Panera -- they should be going out of their way to provide excellent error free service during this time. I've been frequenting this Panera since my CSUF college days and now that I'm a staff member, I stop by at least once a week to grab breakfast. The quality of the food is consistent, but the service has declined. I used to order at the register until they installed the self-serve tablets. Then I realized ordering at the restaurant usually involved a wait, so I started using their mobile rapid pick-up option. "Rapid". Supposedly with that process, your order should be ready for pick-up in one of their labeled shelves within 5-10 minutes after payment. The first few times I tried it, I would come in and my order would not be on the shelf, even after the designated time. I'd go and wait by the kitchen window and see orders being placed on the counter with no indication or announcement of whom they're for. Runners would come and go, and kitchen staff would continue putting out new orders while previous ones sat untouched. I'd finally have to ask someone if mine was ready, and sometimes it would be one of the ones left on the counter, sometimes they haven't finished preparing it. Nowadays when I place a rapid pick-up order, I go directly to the kitchen window and glance around to see if any looked like mine. Once I spot it, I just grab it and leave. I will undoubtedly continue to go to this Panera for breakfast, but I hope they will adjust their process to make it more convenient and less confusing for those who just want to be in and out. read more

These our policies of corporate and we can not refuse to follow them. To me there is no more important values than fairness, equality, understanding, justice, community. I ordered curbside pick up today and received an email that my order was ready at 11:12. I immediately responded that I was here to pick up as requested to do. At 11:28, my order was still not brought out to my car so I called several times and the phone just kept ringing. I had to get both of my children out of the car and run in to find out what happened to my order. The very rude employee simply responded "well sometimes we don't see the email, you should have called to tell us you were here" (even though the confirmation email says just to reply that you're here, not call, and the food will be brought out). Are usually don't eat at Panera, the food is good but it's overpriced. However, I purchase Panera catering orders quite often for work. My experience with Catering has been poor, they consistently forget about my order, it's not ready on time, or they forget to pack items I ordered. These mistakes have caused delays in my events and meetings. They have made me look bad professionally. It's very upsetting because my orders are usually over $200. Other colleagues have had similar experiences. As a result, I have chosen to go with other catering businesses where I've had a significantly better experience. The booths sometimes can get full but overall worth it because great light for studying or just meeting up. Customer service is pretty good the staff checks in to make sure you have rewards which is nice. I highly recommend the rewards program because you can get free pastries or a dollar off a drink and it really adds up from their prices. They also have kiosks for quicker ordering. If your looking for outlets the selection depends on where you sit since this location has a lot of students, I think there's maybe 3 or 4. Food-wise they are pretty good but sometimes wish they had a bit more for their prices. Overall the store isn't bad, reason I prefer them is mostly for the seating and lighting. read more

But they're pretty quick and efficient. They clear tables and wipe them down as well as serve you your food almost too soon sometimes. Good soup, sandwiches, and salad. If you come as frequently as I do, make sure you get the rewards cards to collect points and get yourself a free pastry or drink. When I think of this location the words gastrointestinal distress come to mind. Was here on a Friday night and ordered a sandwich and a bowl of mac and cheese. My mac and cheese was luke warm around the outside and cold in the middle. I notified one of the bus boys in the dining area and he pointed out that there was a microwave near by that I could use to re-heat it and that they couldn't take the mac and cheese back to the kitchen. He then offered to walk the bowl of mac and cheese to the microwave and reheat it for me, but he really should've made me a new one. Shortly after we left I had sharp pains in my stomach, etc. The place was disheveled and the staff were all college kids standing around talking in a group of 4 with their regular clothes on and one of them wearing their back pack. A solicitor came in with a sign that said any donation helps and would go to each table and bother patrons. The bus boy called over his supervisor to make him leave and when she arrived it was a joke. She was wearing a flannel and jeans and telling the solicitor he's not allowed to do this and she was going to escort him outside. One of the patrons in the dining room gave him her French baguette. I would avoid this Panera location like the Plague because you'll get the Plague since they don't cook their food at the proper temperature, offer to make the situation right and cause gastrointestinal distress. read more

I have mixed reviews, first off the parking is always difficult to find, so that's never fun. When you walk in you are greeted by their staff. I did the self ordering which overall was pretty simple. I had a few gift cards so I was able to place my order fairly easy. Although the prices were very high ( Panera in general). A wrap cost me 7.50 which did not fill me up. I then got a cup of broccoli cheddar which tasted like it was frozen and just reheated. There was barely any broccoli in there. Chicken Cobb comes tossed in a weak and oily vinaigrette. Steak bits are impotent. Mango smoothie is decent. Coffee is decent. Tea selection is poor with only two "normal" teas (Green and Earl Grey). Shortbread and Toffee cookies are good. Brownie is a brick. Generalities: Salads over all are disappointing. Soups are poorly balanced and often too salty. Dining area is only mildly littered. Bathrooms is filthy. Service is minimum wage quality. Order accuracy is good if you don't mind repeating yourself five or six times.
