Can't believe we've never tried it before, their Hawaiian BBQ is absolutely delicious!! Their island plates are great value too, as the portion size makes the price absolutely worth it (I could share one plate with my boo and totally be full). Mac salad is good, and you can sub for fresh mix salad for $0.39. Came again the following week because it was just so good. Got the: 1. Mixed BBQ plate ($16.99) : 9.5/10, love that they give you Kalbi, BBQ chicken, and beef. All the meats were juicy and tender and oh so delicious. Definitely my favorite 2. kalbi plate ($17.99) : 8.5/10. Scrumptious with decent portions, but can't beat the variety in the mixed BBQ plate 3. island fish (8.5/10): ordered it because we overheard the staff tell a customer they cook it to order so there might be a wait. It was crispy and good with the tartar sauce 4. Kalua pork: pretty reflective of what we had in Hawaii 5. Island fire chicken (7.5/10): although the name says "fire", it isn't spicy to us, though it has a small kick at the end. TLDR: don't look down on this chain, it's amazing! And there's a drive-thru too!

BBQ and Katsu Mix

Came here for dinner on their grand opening. I ordered the BBQ and Katsu Mix, along with some crispy shrimp on the side. The server was really friendly and even suggested us to order an extra crispy shrimp so we could take advantage of the BOGO deal that day. The portions are a good size, I had leftovers. The food was good overall, but I do wish the chicken katsu had more chicken and less breading. The interior is clean and nicely laid out, and drive-through lanes will be available in the future. Parking was easy too.

This newly opened store is the second Ono's Hawaiian BBQ in Anaheim. Parking: Located in the Walmart shopping plaza, this place has tons of parking right next to the store. Ordering: This location stands out because it has two drive-thru lanes, which is rare. They also offer mobile ordering so you can get in and out quickly. Inside: Pretty modern dining room here. Space for 68 people. Very nice and clean. There's also a patio if you prefer to eat outdoors. The Food: The food is consistent here. I got the chicken katsu and BBQ chicken. Both are solid if you are looking for recommendations. They got the food out pretty quickly. Less than 10 minutes during lunch time. Overall, if you're craving Hawaiian BBQ, stop by. Especially with it being new, I'm sure there will be some deals.

Chicken & beef combo

Came here on the evening of their grand opening. They had a BOGO for today (12/19) only. There was a medium-sized crowd inside, most of which were people waiting for their orders. We got a chicken and beef combo and a kalua combo. Portions are decently sized and can feed 1-2 people. The proteins were all gently seasoned. It was about a 25 minute wait after placing the order. The drive-thru has two lanes but they're not open yet. The restaurant was very clean inside and the staff were consistently refilling the condiment station.

OMG walked in and was second in line. I have to say...I felt like I was in Hawaii. The Kaula Pork was to die for. The best best I have had. I ordered that and the BBQ chicken so I can add my own teriyaki. Also they are generous with portions I asked for 1 rice and two macaroni. My partner ordered Fish shrimp and chicken very generous portions. He was not disappointed. We have been here three times. Always friendly staff!

I absolutely love Ono Hawaiian barbecue and especially the specific location. They just opened recently and what's so cool is they have a drive-through and the building itself is brand new very clean. The staff was very helpful and quick. I ordered my food on my drive and when I arrived, it was already prepared. Outdoor patio is nice and clean as well.

Good THICK lemon pepper chicken breast! This is what I'm talking about I could come here everyday!

I've come here a few times now and the food up until recently was really consistent and tasted great and had great portions. I'd come a few times a week for lunch but as of recently a few times now I'm given this weird flat chicken that taste really bland and isn't seasoned correctly. It's completely intentional because I noticed that when I get the flat flavorless chicken there's more rice and salad vs when I'm given a regular thick piece of breast the sides are a little smaller. I've attached pictures so you can see yourself. I'm going to give it another few chances but if they keep up the bullshit I'm just going to ask for a refund cuz nahhhh not today Satan!

Decided to try Ono since it recently opened and have not been a big fan of Hawaiian bag places..Glad I tried. Lots of choices at reasonable prices in this time we all need to save..I tried the combo plate with beef and BBQ chicken with rice and veggies and I opted for a spring salad at an extra .25 cent..such a deal..and FYI if you allergic to fish. The macaroni has tuna mixed in..and so glad they have this on the website and on the menu..love macaroni but allergic to any fish.. I inside is clean with plenty of seating..order was fast and my to go was ready in about 15 min or less. I recommend this place and there is a Hawaiian sun soda as a choices of drinks..I got the luau punch..love it

Got a chicken katsu plate for $7! A deal they're promoting. Use code "HNY2026" deal only works when you order a Aloha "pick one" plate

Passed by to get a quick lunch. Got the Hawaiian bbq mixed, portions were small and the meat lacked flavor. Won't be coming here anymore.

So my friend and I wanted to get a taste of pretty much everything which is why we ordered so much haha also there were some things that were already sold out for the day. Anyway, meats were seasoned well and cooked perfectly. It's a great twist to bbq, Asian bbq def beats the regular! You didn't really need to add any extra sauce since everything was so flavorful but if you did want some they had 3 different ones, not sure the names but I remember one had gochujang. Coconut rice was fire as well!! Service was great the cashier gave us recs on what we should get since it was our first time there and he didn't disappoint! Once we got our food we sat outside, the restaurant has this cool hang out area where you could play cornhole, a playground for kids, and cute chairs for photo ops. Will be back again!

Thoroughly enjoyed the brisket and the burnt ends. The tri-tip and sausage were okay - I was expecting more from the tri tip and the sausage so I would skip these next time. For the sides we got the dirty rice, corn bread, mapo chili and the mac and cheese. We enjoyed the sides as well and everyone had their favorite - mine was the mac and cheese and the dirty rice was nice to have to eat the meats with or the mapo chili. Someone else really enjoyed the corn bread with the butter it came with. Either way - give it a try - definitely better than Lucille's by far. You have to get the brisket / burnt ends for sure as those were the stars in my opinion.

Haven't been here in a while and it still hits…read more I got here late (7pm they close 8pm) and they were sold out of most things but I got brisket and short rib with that colossal bone. After trying the neighboring new bbq spot I won't name.. this places brisket is so much better. I love it here, juicy and great flavor. Some fatty bits but that's where the flavor comes from. and this short rib was bomb! The edges were a bit dry but I'm coming at closing time so I get it. FYI short rib is by weight $40/lb so it was about $50 for it. The sides I got were their macaroni and cheese 10/10 tastes home made! Onion rings were ok. Coleslaw is alright. Good for fiber! lol. I do like their beans and the blueberry bread. I love their nachos but they ran out of nacho cheese. Sad! I gota come back!

This time they were out of beef and spare ribs, but they still had baby back. (We got the last full rack) Sides are $7. Mac n cheese, blueberry cornbread muffins and onion rings are some of our favorites. You get 2 sides with the full rack, no sides with sandwiches. Today they were also out of nacho cheese but I'm not sure what that goes on? There's a dry erase board when you come in that tells you what's sold out. It's fun to chat with the other guests about what they came for and what they settled for. We always get it To Go now although they do have tables available.

The inside of the restaurant looks like it may have been recently updated ~ it's nicely arranged with a good amount of seating. Orders are placed at the counter and your food is brought to your table when it's ready. Since it was our first visit, the lady at the front was happy to answer our questions and make suggestions. Everything is freshly made to order, so be prepared for a short wait. Plates come with a cup of egg drop soup (which came up piping hot and was very flavorful) that is served to be enjoyed while you wait for your main dish. My foodie friend ordered a fish dish with the Java rice. I chose the beef rib plate and also went with the Java rice. Siopao was a new featured item and apparently they're known for their bibingka, so I added those as well because at this point, why not right? While my friend enjoyed her fish, she said it could have used more seasoning and she wished that she didn't have to pick out the bones. My beef ribs were SOOOO good!! And the Java rice had a really nice flavor that went perfectly with the ribs. Since we had so much food, we split the siopao (a steamed pork bun), and I can't even begin to describe the bibingka ~ it was rich and delicious, with a slightly sweet & creamy filling. I'd have to have another one to better describe its flavor more accurately. I'm so glad to have discovered Tony's! I can't wait to go back!!!

The beef ribs were really good, big and properly cooked, the kind of meat you actually talk about on the way home. The galbi was right there with them, savory and satisfying, and between the two we were set. The kids loved the spam musubi. That alone would have made the stop worth it for us. Spam musubi is one of those things that either works for kids or turns into a negotiation, and here there was no negotiation. They were happy, which meant the adults got to eat in peace for a minute. Dessert sealed it. They have a version of Dole Whip that tastes just like Disneyland. I am not being cute about that. Same soft, cold, pineapple hit you remember from the park, which is a wild thing to get after a plate of ribs in Anaheim. We finished full and already half-planning the next visit. One caveat: it was really smoky inside. Enough that I noticed it the whole meal. If I could give 4.5 I would, but I'm rounding up because the food was that good. Portions felt solid for a plate-lunch place, the vibe was casual and family-friendly, and nothing about the meal felt fussy. If you want Hawaiian-style BBQ with kids in tow, this is still an easy yes. Five stars.
