Relaxing Sunday afternoon, not crowded. Green goddess Cobb with chickeb is very good, service us friendly. I feel that the place is not that clean though, there is bread crumbs on the carpet, and the table seems to be sticky, not sure if its the material they use or hasn't be wipe for a while. Overall its a convenient place to grab a quick bite. Street parking spaces are limited, but there is a whole parking lot behind the restaurant with lots spaces, can be access though the side street by smash burger. Updates after I finished my meal... So I saw a manager clean the table with napkin, dry napkin? Aren't they supposed to spray the disinfection solution and wipe it down after the customer? This explains why the table is sticky...but what's weird is...she went and get something wet and climb into the booth to clean the wall underneath the table. There were some spots on there, and she did get most of them off.. Tables are where people touch, put their food..shouldn't you worry about cleaning here first? read more

I stopped in on Saturday for lunch with both of my daughters. I've been to this location in the past and it's fine. Food is, basic Panera. Nothing noteworthy to say other than the food is consistent throughout the country. This location seems to be a bit mismanaged though. Saturday right before lunch so we walked in at 11:45 and it was just dirty. The outside area was not swept, and the tables weren't clean. Grimy would be a good description of the tables. There was plenty of staff and not one of them were cleaning. Not sure where the Manager was, but obviously they weren't walking around the place to see what needed to be done. If you have time, go to Rock Hill off Dave Lyle instead. read more

Apparently this Panera doesn't wash their lettuce. Think twice before ordering a salad. Highly disappointed. read more

Used the pick up option today. Employees and manager couldn't have been more friendly. Upon arriving home we were very surprised that our order included a extra sandwich. As usual the food was excellent. Thanks again. Stay safe. read more

I visited this location because I had just had a poor experience at a different location earlier in the day. I decided not to go in to the store but instead to sit in my car and pursue the convenience. My receipt says that the cashier was Natalie and if that is the person who actually handled my order, she was perfection walking. She could not have been more pleasant and efficient. I ordered a coffee, and a pick-two (Soup and 1/2 sandwich) and I was driving away with my order in 5 minutes. Natalie and the staff at this location restored my faith in the chain and made me feel as if my business was appreciated. I will give them 5-stars and plan to revisit the next time I am in the area. read more

I stopped by here last week to get a soup and salad. I started my order and found out they had no French baguette available for the side. So I decided to get The Who,e grain roll instead. Didn't have that either. This was around 5:00 pm. I canceled my order and went elsewhere. I don't know why I tried. This same thing happened last time I went to this Panera. It also happened the past four times at the South Tryon location, and the last time at the Ballantyne location. I can't recall the last time that I have visited a Panera Bread and they have had bread. You would think that a place with bread in the name would have bread. read more

As I'm a fan for Panera Bread in general, this particular location is completely awful! The customer service is average but their ability to get a drive thru order right obviously a huge challenge for this location. As this location is close to my house, I sometimes drive 10 extra miles to another Panera Bread location to avoid the inexperienced, untrained employees who work at this location. Proper training is definitely needed! read more

Lunch at Panera. Ordered steak and cheese sandwich and a side of Mac & cheese. Sandwich was cold and was more like a bread and nothing. See picture. Mac & cheese was also cold. Attempted to return food and give Panera a chance to fix the issues. No one was willing to list or help Posting the following 3 weeks later. Interesting management made no comment to try and improve. I would bet current manager will be looking for a job soon read more

Stopped here for a quick bite. The restaurant was spotless. They had both an outside seating area and a screened in porch. The service was fast and friendly. The food was fresh and flavorful. The desserts were sinful. Everything a Panera should be. Bravo! read more

Ordered on line for quick pick up... all of that went well... very efficient. Coffee was really good. Boyfriend's Breakfast sandwich... asiago bagel with bacon, sausage, egg and cheese, he said was just okay. He said the bagel seemed a little off.... I agreed. I had the Asiago bagel with a spread. We can't really nail the problem other than the texture was just not quite right. Was it day old? read more

Went during lunch rush on a Friday. Service was pleasant, quick and accurate. Well designed with multiple seating options. One of the best Paneras this side of the Mississippi. read more

I usually love Panera. The only reason I am giving this location 2 stars instead of 1 is because I have been there before and it wasn't quite as bad the other times, but they really screwed up my birthday lunch. I go there for the hazelnut coffee. There was no Splenda. Ok. Used Equate. I couldn't find any half and half. The people working there were super nice, but at that point, my food had arrived and my precious time with my grandma was being wasted while I stood waiting on half and half. To make things worse, I have several invisible disabilities. I don't look like I suffer from a really bad back (whatever that looks like) or that a neurological disorder makes my neck twist and turn to the right. But standing there, waiting, made me start sweating with pain. Fortunately my mom took over for me. I didn't bring any pain medication with me. But, it would be better if they could put out a sign if they are out of something, so I don't have to walk back and forth, looking for it, asking for it, and waiting for someone to look for it, plus please leave milk or half and half out. Come on. I was almost crying in pain from how long I had to stand there, which put a damper on my whole lunch, which was already sad, since it was the first since my grandfather died a few weeks ago. Panera can't know what their customers are going through, but I shouldn't have had to load up my wheelchair or all of my braces, assuming that they would be doing a poor job, either. I ended up cutting my birthday lunch short due to pain. read more

Just went to this Panera location. "Jessica" was the young lady behind the counter. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a cold bottle of water so she walked away leaving my husband and I standing there. Then she came back and told us they have no cold bottled water. No cold water? Really? Then someone came out from the back and said something to Jessica... having nothing to do with us. But yet Jessica again walked away and left us again. Granted it was 0700 hrs so perhaps Jessica was not fully on her game, but wouldn't PB stock their fridges with water before running out completely? And they need to retrain their folks on proper common courtesy. You don't leave your customers standing there not once but twice. read more

So i usually have good experiences at Panera. Today we came in and ordered our food and sat outside. We've been waiting for an hour to find out that our order never went through and they are now making it after i said something. Don't know how that works because there is literally no one else here. But Panera really needs to get their shit together. If my food is not good I'm going off. read more

Long-time customer of Panera. Many positive experiences at the Ballantyne location. Totally different feel and service quality at this location. Today, my 17 year-old daughter sprinted in from a rainstorm, to get a ToGo Order, and in haste entered through the exit door. I totally understand that special procedures are in place and that she needed to be corrected. She was yelled at by an adult Manager and fellow employees. It was an accident. Hard to see in a downpour. These things are going to happen in the upcoming months and you have to be equipped to handle them respectfully or maybe it's not the job for you. When we called to inquire, we were responded to in a snarky manner and felt very much spoken down to as well. I get these are hard times. Times that need understanding, not anger. I suggest some staff discussion and training. I am certain corporate doesn't want managers yelling at kids. read more

My husband and I literally waited 30 minutes (no exaggeration) for a bead bowel until we went back to the register and got a refund. There was a few others doing the same and another woman walking by said she "waited 30 min for a drink" and saw a worker "dump the soup back in and was disgusting" and that was all we needed to hear to decide to leave. Can't say we'll ever go back. read more

Walk in Sunday morning with wife and 2 daughters. 3 employee s standing around talking manager sitting at a table. No one would come to register to take our order so we had to order on kiosk. Not very easy to navigate for multiple orders. 20 minutes later we get our order. Which was wrong but we didn't have time to wait and get it fixed. Customer service not a priority here read more

I use this Panera Kingsley location for catering very often. The food is always great, on time or early and my order is always correct. Panera is normally a safe bet when you need a quick and healthy bit to eat. This Panera location did not live up to its name. We ordered two salads to go after returning home from an 8 hour car ride. The salads had none of the toppings we requested and almost no lettuce. Extremely disappointing especially since we had no other food option in the house. read more

We were not impressed with this Panera at all!!! My son does not eat jelly and even though we put on the order no jelly they still brought out both sandwiches with jelly. I ordered a bacon tomato grilled cheese but they left off the bacon. When I asked for it the lady made a big deal about going to get the bacon. The same lady was also rude when we asked for our drink. We normally really enjoy Panera but this one was terrible!!!! read more

Great place to eat. I've been to many Panera breads and this one by far is at the top of the list. I ordered a turkey sandwich and a soup and it was up to my likings. Never seen a Panera bread with a drive thru and will be trying that soon. Out of all the places within a few miles for the same price this is one of my go to places. I wrote this review mainly because I saw a few negative reviews. I had been a few times to this location and was really happy and wanted to share my positive experience. read more

Had my second drive thru experience today. Sooooo slow. And messed up my order both times. Recommend going in and NOT using the drive thru.

I had the Italian sandwich. It had a good balance of meat, cheese and dressing. The bread was fresh and tasty, with a crisp crust. The lemonade tasted good too. It was a pleasant all around experience. read more

Love the drive-thru. For the most part, have been pleased with my experiences here. I do wish folks would be considerate and not order an extremely large order during peak hours. I visit this Panera regularly, this time I felt I had to submit a review. It is way too often that I place a rapid pick up order through their app to have part of it "out of stock" or unavailable when I arrive. Now it is about 15 minutes to get here from home but wasting gas and time is ridiculous! This place needs to better track there products and notify customers ahead of time before driving to pick it up. This last trip was for a four cheese soufflé, very good when you can get one although small in size. I get there and the ticket says "see window", oh here we go...... turns out they had some in the oven, but someone took them out and left them to get cold. Refund please, again. Just a word of advice, if you place an order for pick up, maybe call ahead as well to verify they have all you ordered "in stock". read more

Fool me once....today marks the second time I ordered delivery and it just never showed up. Drove over there (after waiting more than an hour and 1/2 because as I learned the first time, no one actually answers the phone) and, not surprising, they never made my order and the manager was, yet again, less than helpful. DONE with this location. read more

Worst Panera location, ever. Slow, no sense of urgency, and the employees could care less about the customer.

I usually go to the Fort Mill Panera for a Classic Grilled Cheese sandwich. I had a few bad experiences before, but today was a disaster. There was no one behind me in the Drive Through lane, and yet they hurried and forgot my chips and also gave me what looked like yesterday's left over sandwich. It was cold, dry, hard and tasted funny and I have had a sensation of nausea since I took a few bites of the sandwich at work without noticing. Not going here again. read more

I feel like I am in the land of the clueless here. It is unbelievable how slow service is and how simple orders can't be taken right the first time (I had to explain my order again and again). Its as though this was the first time this restaurant was operating. And worse, I had to literally ask a worker to please go get more help because the line was backing up. How difficult is pouring soup and heating up sandwiches. Ridiculous and not acceptable. I waited for a half sandwich for 20 minutes. Why is additional help not hired during the dinner time hour? Not returning read more

I was so excited to learn Fort Mill was getting a Panera, and one with a drive thru. My first two visits were after 8 pm, 1-2 weeks after they opened, both through the drive thru, both involving salad orders. Both times I was the only person in line - both times I could see at least 6-8 young people in the kitchen. Unfortunately, they spent more time talking to one another than working - both orders were a lengthy wait. I finally went in on my 3rd visit two weeks ago. It was after 2 pm, and it was mostly empty, with only one couple ahead of me in line. While I waited for my food (soup and salad - 13 minutes), I was horrified to see how dirty the dining room was, even though there was plenty of staff and few customers. I had to bus a dirty table and wipe off my chair to get a seat. Empty tables around me still had plates and food debris. There was food under the tables and in the aisle. Finally a manager came and took the dishes away from two of the empty tables. Five minutes later, two young women came out - apparently sent to clean. They cleaned the larger tabletop, but none of the smaller tables or the floor. Before I left the restaurant, I asked to see the manager to suggest he have someone check the dining room. The restaurant is constructed in a somewhat odd layout - it is not possible to see the DR from behind the counter. I held off on reviewing thinking this might be a one-off situation, but after reading the other reviews, that does not appear to be the case. I think the issue here is that the very young staff just needs closer supervision. I would suggest scheduling an employee in the DR or at least walking through every 15 minutes or so, especially when it is slow. read more

It's better than fast food but I think since this is a new location, maybe they are still working out the kinks. I've had 2 orders in the drive thru and was missing a sandwich on one occasion and a soup on another. You always have to check your bag before you drive off. There is a lack of attention to detail...missing croutons for the soup, chips instead of the ordered bread, and avocado with lots of brown spots. Not the greatest, but each time I have come here, it gets better. read more

Let me start by saying that the service is always good. The food it pretty basic. No one comes here for the culinary experience. Here's my beef with this particular Panera. I usually come for breakfast and I think I've been able to get the spinach artichoke soufflé once. As a business, if you run out of something pretty frequently, make more! Also you can take your ham and cheese and bacon soufflé and toss them in the middle of traffic read more

I know everyone is excited about the new Panera Bread and are so excited to go there, but save your time and money and go elsewhere. I ordered an order on-line to save time and went to the drive-thru to pick it up. After waiting behind several people who were ordering for their entire office (and who weren't asked to wait in the convenient parking stalls next to the drive-thru) I finally got to the front of the line. Keep in mind when I approached the speaker no one ever told me you had to go inside to pick up your order. When I got to the window they said my order never came through and to wait in the parking stalls so they could bring it right out to me. It's 11:20 at this point, and my order was for 11:25 because I had to be somewhere twenty minutes later, hence the on-line ordering. at 11:30, with time running out, I had to go in to find my order, just to see it sitting on a cubby, completely forgotten. As I grabbed my order, the girl who promised to bring it out to me laughed and said, "sorry" in the most condescending tone I've ever heard. BUT THAT'S NOT THE LAST OF IT! When I opened the salad when I got home, it was less than HALF full! I paid ten bucks for a salad that I could fit in a red solo cup with room to spare! Complaints to corporate were useless, so here we are. All I was told is you don't pick up on-line orders in the drive-thru, basically blaming me for their screw-up. Um, say what? How is THAT convenience? Besides, no signage on the doors, the drive-thru signs OR the website have this information on them, and on that day there were forty high-schoolers in the line that I was supposed to stand in for food I ordered on-line, which would have taken MUCH LONGER. The food was sitting in a cubby RIGHT BESIDE THE DRIVE-THRU WINDOW! Needless to say I won't be returning to this location. I will instead be going to Newk's, where I can get a great salad for a great price, and actually GET a salad that is worthy of the money I spend! Yes, it's a lot further out, but I'd rather go there and get quality food instead of wilted lettuce and an attitude problem. read more
