Great Sandwich! Came in with a friend over Christmas Break. I love a good turkey sandwich with Italian dressing. This reminded me of a place I used to go with my Dad when I was a kid. The place has long been gone, but the sandwich and yummy bread reminded me of that place. Only thing missing is the delicious, crunchy, seasoned fries I used to get. Would've topped it off for me! This has always been one of my favorite sub shops since the day it opened. I actually worked there when they first opened and I've been hooked every since. The food is amazing, the service is very efficient, and the ambiance is that of a very welcoming sub shop. The prices are decent for the amount of meat they put on the subs and the fact that it's cut and put on the bread as it's ordered. I went to Sub Station II for the first time today and I'm very disappointed. I ordered the tuna on sweet wheat w/lettuce, tomatoes & pickles to go. When I unwrapped it at home the sub roll was completely closed indicating there wasn't much inside. Every sub I've ordered elsewhere showed the ingredients stacked in the sandwich (like the pictures) when the sub roll was closed. How did it taste? Mostly sweet (probably the pickles?) with only a very slight taste of tuna. Strange. I would guess that the taste of tuna would be the star of the show in a tuna sub. I just ordered 3 salads and a cookie. $42. WTF. They weren't even large salads. I know prices have gone up, but this is literally 2 ounces of meat AND cheese plus a CUP of lettuce. One cookie. My niece asked for the rolls after it was paid for so that wasn't included. I will NEVER visit this place again. I love it and always have, but I do not like getting robbed. Good luck. This lil hole in the wall is THE TRUTH! Just wish the owner or whoever would use the money they make to upgrade the place. It's a lot of dusties by the front counter, but that's not an issue when the food is so damn fresh. I feel bad for the workers there because I feel like they should at least be in a more spacious clean work environment for all the love and energy they put in the preparation and making of the food. I'm talking meat sliced to order. Cheese sliced to order. Cucumbers PEELED AND CHOPPED and they are the BEST. Not to thin not to thick. All other veggies were fresh the bread was good and you get a lot more than subway for sure for around the same price. Don't think I'll go to subway again if I have the option to go here. I would give it 5 stars but the environment desperately needs an upgrade and the workers need a medal or something because they are doing a lot in that little bit of space and need to be recognized. The subs are larger than subway too. Prices are comparable to other sub places The choices are great- service was super friendly. Healthy choices available. This is the way to make subs! Subs and sandwich shop in rock hill. After hearing so many good things about it, I decided to stop in for lunch. I stopped in on a weekday around 11 so it wasn't busy at all. It's quite the small place and currently is not allowing inside dining due to COVID. The place was clean and had that local sandwich shop feel which I liked. After a quick glance at the menu I decided to go simple and get an Italian sub combo. I wasn't in the mood for chips so I got the potato salad which unfortunately is not homemade (neither was the Mac salad). They cut the meat to order which is a nice touch. Pricing was about normal at $8 for a sub side and drink. The sandwich was ok. The bread was toasted but did not taste fresh. The veggies were fine. Overall I think I got my hopes up too high. Though decent I would not necessarily make a special trip to sub station. It was about on par with most sub places but I would say better than the chains. read more

I love sub station, I believe it's one of the best places to get a sub or salad. They always been great... until today. I usually always go in and order but tonight I decided to order online. it literally says "salad by request TOPPINGS" so why in the world would you make the whole salad out of spinach?!? On top of that they only put half the stuff I asked for. Never have I been so displeased by them. I tried to call to see if they could remake it before heading up there . As soon they answer "Hold, please." Ok cool I know they get busy. They had me on hold so long I had enough time to drive back and have them "fix" my order (which still wasn't right, I was just over it! Money wasted) and walk out the store and STILL no one picked up the phone. Mind you there is four people standing up front (two standing to the side talking) and one customer in there. I eat here all the time and normally the food and service is great. However today I was not happy with the service. I had an employee roll her eyes at me and gave me some bad attitude because I didn't want her to touch my bread with the same gloves that she had already touched pork, which I don't eat. When certain people are working service is really good but when certain other people are working it isn't worth the time or money to get bad attitude from a service oriented restaurant.
