Tomato soup with bread (bowl size with dine in)
Jessica C.

Came at 10am today and it was still breakfast menu, heard the soup wouldn't be available until 10:30. Got the toasted caprese focaccia and highly recommended. The cashier was very helpful and professional and she let me browse through the electronic menu to help make my decision since it looked different than the menus above the counter. When she stepped away to give me more time, another cashier offered to assist me. Great service. I saw another employee ready to clean up my table as well when I stepped away to pick up my order. My order came with chips. Plenty of parking and plenty of customers seated, but still lots of seating available. A great place to conversate and comfortable temperature inside with the rainy weather outside. Later ordered the tomato soup and was able to purchase by typing in my card numbers. Bathroom was clean with two stalls and a changing table in the women's larger stall.

You pick two

I come here for carbs with my tennis team during tennis tournaments and it always hits the spot. We love love love the you pick two--salad and sandwich AND an apple or baguette or chips? Amazing. There's something for everyone. Portions are large and filling and bread is fresh and warm. I also loved the salad--lots of protein! More than I expected so it's good bang for your buck. You can order on kiosks and service is pretty fast. I also love the ambiance--it's homey and cozy and reminds me of home. It reminds me of the Panera I grew up going to! There's lots of people sitting and doing work here, like they camp out for the AC and wifi.

NEW Farmhouse Duo Asiago- where's the bacon!? Must be invisible at the bottom

I tried Panera Bread for the first time through DoorDash while I was sick and just wanted something simple. I ordered three breakfast sandwiches to share with my kids: the Sausage & Egg Asiago Bagel, the NEW Wake-Up BLT Asiago Everything Bagel, and the NEW Farmhouse Duo Asiago. The food was meh.. the sandwiches were smaller than expected for the price, and one had way too much arugula, which overpowered the taste of the sandwiches. On top of that, two of the sandwiches were missing ingredients (no cheese or tomatoes). And how are you out of croissant sandwiches at 9 AM? Not the best first impression, probably won't order again.

Greek Goddess Salad & Creamy Tomato Soup

Food: 3.6 Service: 3.0 Came in on a Monday and upon entering my BF said what's burning, but didn't deter us from ordering and sitting down for lunch inside. He doesn't frequent Panera so he didn't know what a "Pick-2" was; so I needed to explain to pick two items from under the "pick-2" columns on the menu. Order 1: Greek Goddess chicken salad with a bowl of tomato bisque Order 2: chicken Caesar salad with Mexican chowder w / street corn & chicken After ordering everything is self-serve: get your own drinks from the drink station and pick-up your entire order once they call your name. We were there at 1pm so kinda after their lunch rush, but tables are not frequently wiped down (had to wet down a few napkins and clean the table top) and then that burning smell came back. So there's a piece of equipment that the employees don't maintain, luckily the smell lasted only a few minutes. Food came out a few moments after, my Caesar salad was nothing really special but what did stand out was the croutons and Parmesan slices, the corn chowder had nice Smokey & sweet savory flavor (maybe that's the burning smell LOL) My BF's Greek Goddess salad was "okay" but filling since he only finished half his soup. His tomato bisque was thick and had a starchy taste to it. Overall, the food was just above average which reminds me why I don't frequent these establishments and try to support more local restaurants.

Fast and friendly service. I didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes for my order, even on a busy Saturday morning! I ordered the warm, hearty oatmeal for breakfast. The restaurant was clean with a nice, cozy vibe inside. Great place to start the day!

I went to this location last week and I noticed that the place is not very clean and I asked one of the workers if she be able to clean and she said that is not part of her job I was really disappointed that a place like Panera doesn't look clean on this areas imagine how the kitchen looks

Broccoli Cheddar Soup and Chipotle Chicken Avo Melt
Hilda A.

My family and I absolutely love our hospital food, (LOL). Soups, salads, sandwiches, bagels and pastries! Kids asked for Panera on NYE lunch and we ordered our favorites, chipotle chicken avocado melts, broccoli cheddar soup, rice and chicken soup and chicken noodle. Our food is always great, but it is on the pricier end given the portions. We love this location, great customer service and great quality. My only issue, the location is very busy, and the dining is constantly in need of cleaning.

I just quit my job today and I need a little pick me up of course Panera always provides specially this location. I was helped by Chyanne. Who is only the biggest ray of sunshine in human form you could speak to. I ordered a mac & cheese bread bowl, which I didn't know as possible until she told me also got a bag of chips agave lemonade, green tea, and mixed it with starry, and it was really good. I'm pregnant and I'm technically homeless I have temporary housing right now, but it's been a struggle and I'm just glad I can come somewhere. I feel safe and Wi-Fi and be welcomed. Julieanna was so sweet. I didn't order with her but she helped immensely just w a simple conversation and a smile. My panera in Elk Grove for sure.

My husband was craving a grilled cheese sandwich. You did not disappoint. Best grilled cheese I ever ate. Nothing fancy, but so delicious. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich and it was very good too. Service is always good and fast. Very nice restaurant, clean, clean bathrooms plenty of room.

Everything bagel seasoning on my sesame bagel
Portia C.

I wanted to share some feedback regarding my recent visit. This is the closest Panera to where I live now. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality of the bagels--they are soft, fresh, and have excellent flavor. However, I did experience a concern with the packaging process during this rapid pick up order visit. I ordered a baker's dozen that included both savory and sweet bagels. When I picked up my order, I noticed that the everything bagels were mixed in with the rest, including the sweet ones. As a result, all of my bagels ended up with everything bagel seasoning, which was disappointing. This is the first time I've encountered this issue, and I'm unsure if it's specific to this location. I brought this up to the associate that gave me my pickup order and all they said was "next time put it in your special request portion." At other Panera locations I've visited, the everything bagels were always AUTOMATICALLY separated to avoid cross-contamination with the other bagels. I actually learned this from a Panera associate that actually told me that they have to separate it. I've already reached out to customer service and received an automated response stating someone would follow up within a few business days. Additionally, I've noticed that the service at this particular location seems to take longer than at others I've been to, with food often taking more time to come out. I hope this review is helpful. Next time I will definitely put it on my request to separate the everything bagel from the rest of my order.

Zoom in and you will see the ants

I'm usually all for giving good reviews, but this experience was just unacceptable. The woman who helped us was great -- she had a Stitch sticker on her name tag and provided really kind service. However, the reason I'm giving one star is because of what I saw around the food and drink area. As shown in the pictures below, there were ants crawling all over the counter where my drink and food were placed, and several more on the ground nearby. To me, this is a food safety issue -- and when I'm paying nearly $40 for a meal, I don't expect to be eating next to an ant trail. The photo might not capture it perfectly, but I've included a screenshot of my maps location to confirm that this was indeed the Panera we visited. I truly hope management addresses the cleanliness and pest issue here, because the staff deserve better working conditions and customers deserve a cleaner dining experience.

French dip sandwich a bit light on the beef.
steve s.

I really like the ambiance of this place. It's feels homey to me. The cashier was courteous. The were out of the bread side. What? "Bread" is in their name! I chose the French dip sandwich based on the thick layer of beef in their menu photo. This was a disappointment (see my photo). I give them a D. Below average.

The table was a little sticky (not sure from what) but the seats were comfortable. We were served complimentary sweet tea (black or green) which was a nice plus - you don't get this at every location. The drinks were quite sweet but had a very good tea flavor. I ordered #2 Lamb Hot Pot and hubby got #9 Taiwanese Supreme Spicy Hot Pot both with medium spice. I personally did not experience much spice at this level so I will probably get very spicy next time. We also added the mala skewers which is my husband's favorite and again this is not available at all locations. Did not have to wait too long for our hot pot but did have to wait a little longer for the skewers. I do see this as a good sign as it hints they're not pre-made. Great assortment of skewers with generous mala sauce and flavor. Hot pot is packed with ingredients with generous serving out meat. I can finish the entire thing but if you have a smaller appetite you might want to share. I recommend asking for noodles on the side as it risks them getting soggy. Service was good here and we were extremely satisfied with our meal. We will definitely be back!

The waiters were very attentive and kind despite the busyness too. I guess my only dislikes are that I didn't enjoy the ambiance-- there was only one TV on, and all it played was clips of Naruto, so there wasn't much to do while you waited. The decor, lighting and music could have been better too, but these issues aren't big enough to stop me from coming back. 4.2/5, would recommend! When we arrived, all the staff were occupied, so we stood by the entrance waiting to be seated. After a little while, a waitress noticed us and directed us to the waiting list near the cashier, where we needed to write down our names. I honestly wish they had placed the waiting list closer to the entrance or had a sign directing customers to it because we had no idea there was one until the waitress pointed it out. We ended up waiting about 15-20 minutes before getting seated, which was understandable considering how busy they were. Fortunately, the food came out pretty quickly after we placed our orders. I was especially excited to try their A9 Spring Rolls because that specific Vietnamese spring roll is one of my favorite appetizer. Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed. The meat was dry, and something about its texture made me cough while eating it. I don't know exactly how to explain it, but the meat didn't taste fresh to me. It had a stale, dried-out texture, almost as if it had been prepared days earlier and reheated before serving. The meat was also falling apart, which made the overall experience even less enjoyable. It definitely wasn't what I was expecting from the Vietnamese spring rolls I'm used to having. As for the B11 Combination Pho, I was really hoping it would make up for the spring rolls, especially after reading so many positive reviews. On the bright side, the large portion was pretty generous! However, the broth itself was underwhelming. It wasn't as flavorful or rich as I had hoped. Something about it just felt like it was missing that extra depth of flavor that makes a good bowl of pho so satisfying. I also noticed that fish sauce wasn't provided at the table, and salt was the only additional seasoning option I saw. Personally, I enjoy having fish sauce available, especially when the broth needs a little extra flavor to enhance it. Unfortunately, even with the generous portion, the pho didn't quite hit the spot for me. Aside from the food, I did appreciate how clean the restaurant was despite how busy they were. The bathroom was clean as well, which is always a plus! And I honestly found myself vibing with their music playlist throughout our visit. It definitely added to the atmosphere. Overall, I can see why this place attracts a lot of customers, but based on my first experience, the food didn't quite live up to the expectations I had from reading the reviews. Maybe it was just an off day, but I was hoping for a more satisfying meal. My overall ratings: * Food: - A9 Spring Rolls: 3/10 - B11 Combination Pho: 5.5/10 * Customer Service: 6.5/10 * Cleanliness: 7/10 * Atmosphere: 7/10

Believe me, I've been wanting to try their pho as well, but every single time, their BBH speaks to me. Simply put, it is a comforting hug in a bowl, filled generously with tender slices of meat, homemade meatballs, cha, pork blood cubes, and al dente noodles, all topped off with piping hot broth. It is served with a mountain of fresh herbs, and I always add extra chili oil and sate (that they keep in the fridge) for that extra oomph of flavor. While this location does not serve their BBH with a pork hock, I really don't care at all, because of how cohesive their bowls are every single time. Those homemade meatballs are really an element of the dish that I have not found at any other restaurants, even at BBH restaurants in the bay. Located right off Grant Line in the Sheldon area of Elk Grove, the restaurant is not big, but still has ample seating. The private parking lot has never been full when I've eaten there, but I also have never gone on a weekend. I usually enjoy coming when they very first open, and am always seated immediately. During lunch rush, I have noticed it can get pretty busy, with patrons dining in and to go orders alike. The owner is so nice and I rarely even look at the menu since I always know what I want. I don't usually order drinks as I like to get matcha in Elk Grove, but the one time I got a Thai tea, it was perfectly balanced with a good strength to it. Their menu on the whole is small, but still varied, so there is something for everyone's cravings. If you follow their Facebook page, they will announce weekend specials as well, so stay tuned for those. One day I swear I will try their pho, but for now, Pholicious is one of my top spots for BBH in the Sacramento area. I love supporting family-run businesses, and wish them nothing but continued success!
