Love the hot pot here. Taiwanese #9 is my go to. Flaming spicy for the sweat and I'm happy. I do wish the ramen noodles in the pot was on the side since I like my noodles more on the al dente side but still good nonetheless. Side orders are Cajun chicken wings and the fried roe balls. Great snacks to go with your pot order. Drinks I always like the green tea but the old plum juice has a really unique sweet flavor I enjoy a lot. Staff is helpful and always enough staff when you need something. Must go and must repeat.
We have eaten at many different Tasty Pot locations: two in Sacramento, one in Reno, one in Elk Grove, but Stockton location is the best for the seafood soup. Love the options to make our own custom sauce from a larger variety of ingredients. The lobsters are also the freshest out of all the locations we tried. My husband loves hot pots, so yes we visited Tasty Pot locations many times. Service is okay but not bad--acceptable when they are busy.
Despite the rain and long commute, drove two hours to Tasty Pot in Elk Grove. Arrived at 2:20pm as the hours online show that they close at 3pm. When we had arrived, party of three, we were told that their kitchen was closing. There were still many guests inside the restaurant and the staff had explained that they had a long wait list and they were accommodating those who were wait listed or had reservations. We had explained that we had driven two hours away to dine at Tasty Pot and we honestly were not aware that their kitchen would be closed/closing. We asked the staff if an exception can be made, they checked with the kitchen staff and said okay. We were seated within a few minutes and we ordered shortly, after. Within 10-15 mins later, our food was brought out to us. Very large portions, very fulfilling and it was perfect for the rainy day. Their service and food is consistent -- kind staff and the hot pots are tasty! After our meal, we purchased macaroons for dessert. I really appreciate the staff and the fact that they did make an exception to accommodate us. Looking forward to dining here, again, soon!
Came on a Friday night and joined the Yelp waitlist around 7 PM, had to wait about 40 minutes. Got the lamb hot soup, and it was delicious! The lamb was super tender, and the bean sauce added a great salty savory kick. Definitely worth getting an extra plate of meat too. I'll definitely come back again!
Solid hot pot place. Their milk and cheese hot pots might seem a bit weird but is good. It's savory with a hint of sweet. Hot pots here have different pricing for lunch and dinner and that sometimes have lunch specials. I will say that the service here was not the best. We had to ask for the sauces and for our side of noodles that come with the order. Their green tea is nice and slightly sweetened
I walked in on a busy Sunday night and joined the wait-list on the tablet. I waited around 10 min before I was sat, while I was waiting there was a poster for the tomato spicy pot,I was really intrigued so I decided to get it. Alongside, I ordered Cajun chicken wings for the heck of it. The food came out shortly and the chicken wings were super yummy, very crispy and very juicy. Definitely an item I will get the next time I'm here. The tomato spicy pot was also delicious. A balance of sweetness from the tomato and the spiciness from the seasonings, this is a larger pot so I definitely had to take some leftovers home.
Elk Grove Tasty Pot is the best compared to the location 65th. I feel like it's always clean. The taste of the pots and spice levels are consistent. The Cajun chicken wings are super good! Great seasoning and never dry. I like the music they play here. I always receive great customer service here! They're friendly, attentive and fast.
This Tasty Pot location is the one my girlfriend always recommend whenever we're up north, and I enjoy it every time we visit. The service is nice and it's always packed whenever we go, which makes sense since it seems very enjoyable for everyone. We both got the Taiwanese as well as an order of potstickers. The potstickers were a nice appetizer and came with a total of 6. I always try what she recommends as she used to come often, so we both got the #9 Taiwanese, both mild. It was a good amount of spice and I enjoyed every bit. The broth was flavorful, and every bit of food, from meat to vegetables, were all good and complimented each other in each bite. My only small dislike is that I wish the noodles weren't that soggy, but maybe I could've just separated them from the broth once it came out. Overall I would recommend Tasty Pot for anyone in the mood for hot pot, especially during the colder season. It's so filling and good and warmed me up for the weather during our visit!
Instead of the typical AYCE buffet model, Tasty Pot in Elk Grove specialize in individual, Taiwanese-style personal hot pots sold by the unit, starting around $17.99. It's a much more relaxed, portion-controlled, and high-quality dining experience. I returned here recently after a few years away and ordered the Beef Hot Soup with Satay flavor. The set comes fully loaded with a massive variety of ingredients: Napa cabbage, vermicelli, enoki mushroom, taro, tomato, tofu, tempura, corn, meatball, kamaboko, fried tofu skin, imitation crabmeat, fish cake, clam, and fresh cilantro. It also includes a bowl of rice and a refreshing cup of iced tea, making it a complete, satisfying meal. The biggest game-changer for this visit--and my absolute best advice for anyone eating here--is to request your raw beef slices ON THE SIDE. By default, they will pre-cook the beef right in the broth before serving it to you. If you don't want your meat overcooked, ask them to keep it raw on a side plate. This allows you to dip and cook the beef pieces individually to your exact preference, keeping the meat incredibly tender. The satay broth was rich and savory, but the soup base felt like it was instant, relying on powder or paste instead of a traditional, slow-cooked broth. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the individual burner setup keeps everything piping hot throughout the meal.
Heads up if you use the yelp wait list. You actually have to go in and tell them you're there. Even before you get a text. My wife checked in at 12:44pm amd yelp said it would be an 11-25min wait. At 1:20pm I went inside to ask how much longer it would be because it said there were still 4 groups ahead of us and hadn't moved. The host then said he moved me to another list and that it would be 1-2 more groups ahead of us. They sat three more groups ahead of us and then sat us at 1:55pm. I understand wanting to service customers that check-in in person, but then that should be your only method of taking customers. We waited in the car because there was nothing on the yelp check-in that said to go inside for faster service. We would have gone inside if we had known.

The service is exceptional at Tasty Pot! They're always checking to make sure if you need more broth or if you need more water. One time we were seated near the speakers and it was a bit too loud for me - I told the owner and she turned it down. It was so sweet of her because she didn't have to The hotpots are so tasty and delicious!! I love the variety of toppings they include in each hotpot bowl, always something different and new in each. The wait can be long, especially with the cold weather so I recommend joining the waitlist on yelp before coming in. They have a sauce station where you can make your own sauce and that really elevated the entire meal! If you're looking for a hotpot place where you get your own bowl, this is definitely the place to go to!
Tasty pot is forever my go to place I love it always. I'm a regular customer I order it on DoorDash from time to time and eat inside as well. Not a stranger to the Tasty Pot franchise but it was my first time at this location and it checks all the boxes! My husband and I came in at 2pm on a Saturday and were seated right away. The table was a little sticky (not sure from what) but the seats were comfortable. We were served complimentary sweet tea (black or green) which was a nice plus - you don't get this at every location. The drinks were quite sweet but had a very good tea flavor. I ordered #2 Lamb Hot Pot and hubby got #9 Taiwanese Supreme Spicy Hot Pot both with medium spice. I personally did not experience much spice at this level so I will probably get very spicy next time. We also added the mala skewers which is my husband's favorite and again this is not available at all locations. Did not have to wait too long for our hot pot but did have to wait a little longer for the skewers. I do see this as a good sign as it hints they're not pre-made. Great assortment of skewers with generous mala sauce and flavor. Hot pot is packed with ingredients with generous serving out meat. I can finish the entire thing but if you have a smaller appetite you might want to share. I recommend asking for noodles on the side as it risks them getting soggy. First time trying hot pot and I was a little overwhelmed on the options. I played it safe and ordered a regular beef one. It was very good AFTER I added some chili oil and bean paste. I don't think the broth was anything to rave too much about. I'm glad I tried it but you really have to know what you like. Service was adequate. After they served us, they never did check in again. Ambiance was popping. A lot of people were there. Overall, I'm glad I tried it. read more

I've been to Tasty Pot before, just not this location. Since it's the same brand, I figured it would be good. This location was the closest one to me, and I still had to drive about 15-20 minutes to get here. I checked beforehand to make sure they were open, but when I arrived around 6:30-6:40, they were still closed. It's really frustrating to drive that far only to find the restaurant closed when it's supposed to be open. This is one of my favorite places to get hot pot. The service was phenomenal and super friendly. The hot pot is for single serving but certain ones are big enough to share. The dinning area is a decent size, we've come here as a party of 10, they were able to accommodate. There's plenty of smaller tables but not many tables to fit big parties. So, if you know you have a bigger party than 7-8, I would highly recommend making reservations. My favorite: #9.Taiwanese supreme New item: Mala skewers, I try this today. It has really good flavors and a good amount of spicy level. Would recommend to my fellow foodies who like spicy food. Totally worth trying. read more

I've been to many tasty pots, and this is the best location. Usually, at other locations, I have to add more sauces to make the soup flavorful. Here, the soup is already tasty and nothing needs to be added. I got the Sichuan soup and finished the entire thing. Service was very good and attentive. We drink a lot of water and it was constantly getting refilled. I will be back! read more

We stopped in for dinner at Tasty Pot. I was quite impressed with the food! I got the Japanese Miso Soup. As everyone says, the portion size is impressive and what a great option as the weather cools down. The soups come in a good sized bowl on top of a heat unit so it stays nice and hot. My dish was nicely flavored (I got mild since it was my first time and the spice level was very good! I may up my game the next time.) The service staff is quite attentive, and the dining area sits a good crowd. Overall, highly recommend! read more

It was my first time eating at Tasty Pot, I came in when it was quite slow so I got seated right away. The menu was very intriguing, but we landed on the Sichuan and it was okay, it wasn't very flavorful like other hot pot places I have tried. I had to add a lot of spice to season it. I did like the many different ingredients in the soup and getting broth fill ups. The servers were quite attentive, however, maybe a little too attentive. We were halfway through eating, only having had our food for 18 minutes and already was served the check. It felt like they were pushing us out despite it being so slow and nowhere near closing. I wouldn't come back again and I wouldn't advise people to come unless they wish to be rushed, but it is always nice to try a new spot. read more

This is my go to place whenever the weather even gets slightly cold. Tasty pot never fails me, always so flavorful, comes piping hot on the fire, and the portions are just perfect for individual dishes. I always get their #7 Kimchi. Savory and sour, and the meat is so soft when it comes fresh. There is one server there who is always so sweet, she remembers all her customers and is always smiling. I personally make the drive out to EG versus the south sacramento tasty pot just for this location. It's cleaner and the staff are much nicer! read more
Been here a few times and I love tasty pot! My go to is always the beef pot or the seafood one! Always has a variety of meats and veggies and good soup. Each pot comes with either rice or vermicelli, and a bonus green or black tea during lunch hours. Service has always been great even though they are busy. Sometimes you gotta flag people down if you need something or extra broth in the soup. Restaurant is always really busy inside but good place to go. I would want to work with the staff but it seems they weren't hiring at the moment. read more

This place is popular and I can see why! The service is wonderful, attentive, kind, friendly, and knowledgeable about everything they have to offer! They have something here for everyone including vegetarian options, boba drinks, macaron ice cream sandwiches, and much more! I didn't catch her name but the front girl was so kind and attentive despite how busy they were, they still acknowledged our presence and walked us through the different items they offer. A must stop every time I'm in town visiting family. Came for lunch this time. Still great food and service. The kitchen closes at 2:30 and they close from 3-5 to give their employees a meal break. We didn't arrive until 2:15 and we never felt like we were being rushed out. The employees were still super friendly and attentive as they sat and started to eat their own meals after closing. read more

My teenager loves hotpot so we are always on a lookout for one. Tasty pot is a one of the best places on my list for hotpot. We ordered lamb ho dinner and the Thai seafood dinner hotpots and a side of fried lobster balls, and everything was flavorful. You can decide the level of spice whether low, medium, spicy , or very spicy. I must say the hotpot sauce was blend of perfect spices and flavors, we loved our orders. A special mention for the top of the class service, very attentive and patient. And the ambience is nice, clean and perfect for hot dinners with family and friends. Don't forget to get your macaroon icecream which is yum! They also offer boba milk teas. We will be back again!! read more

Delicious single serve hot pot spot. The service is very good, attentive hosts and servers. They walk around after you get your pot and offer more "soup" which soup stock / broth. Lunch time they offer free cup of green or black iced tea. They were both delicious. The green was more subtle and the black was a little on the sweet side for my taste, but I liked it and drank the entire cup. The restaurant itself is sized nicely, simple decorations, but no one is looking up. Everyone will be face down in the food or engaging in lively conversations with their friends or family. Good place for a date, simple lunch, or a family celebration. Just plan accordingly as it does get busy. Place yourself on the waitlist ahead of time if possible. read more

I've been to Tasty Pot a handful of times (ranging from when they first opened up until just recently). I was previously underwhelmed with the menu items I'd ordered. During my most recent visit, I had the Thai Flavor Hot Soup. I enjoyed the flavor and a good variety of ingredients were included in this soup. Note: Some hot pot options are higher in cost and #8-12 are a larger portion. They offer to refill your broth, which is nice, but I didn't think about this until it was too late - the flavor of the broth they add didn't taste anything like the broth in the soup I ordered. It diluted/ruined the flavor of my soup! Service was friendly. I don't love it at the price point for dinner. I'd return for lunch, since a drink is also included, but likely won't be back for dinner time anymore. read more

One of my favorite hot pot places in eg! My family and I love coming during lunch for the complimentary black teas. We usually order Beef, Curry, Thai or the Taiwanese Supreme (my fav!). The perfect bite would be meat, veggie and their sauces! They have 4 different options I think but I only use three: - soybean paste - garlic sauce - tiny bit of chili oil (1:1 ratio for the soybean paste and garlic sauce! I usually do 2 scoops of each and some chili oil) They also have salt and pepper wings that have the perfect about of crunch and seasoning The service is good but sometimes they forget about us (understandable during busy times ofc) We're pretty chill with it since we like to ask them for everything in the beginning anyways! I have been here countless of times with all of my friends. The food is solid and the quality and service are always consistent. There is a lot of seating throughout the restaurant but sometimes there will be a wait on busy evenings, so plan accordingly! I have had no disappointments with Tasty Pot, I will continue coming here for delicious hot pot! read more
Love that they do online waitlist so you can RSVP prior to arriving. Only thing is, you must still check in at the front desk upon arrival so they know you're there to keep you within the waiting queue. You can do this through Yelp. So it's convenient. Because of this option we arrived just 15 prior to our expected rsvp time. However, upon arrival I got a text indicating they're busier than usual my wait time extended another 20 mins. Which was fine I guess. Service was fast as soon as we sat down we knew what we wanted as well so it was quick to order. Wait time for food is also fast everything comes out steamy hot and fresh. Workers are polite and moves quick and attentive. Broth is always on point never switches up in flavor. I love how they come around to ask if we would like more broth, because with the individual heating of each pot, your broth can dilute. Very fast paste environment, little loud but you're able to focus if you and your own party. read more

This is our favorite Tasty Pot location. Staff are always nice and food never disappoints. Our personal faves are the beef and seafood soups. Portion sizes are big so you can always take home leftovers. They do get busy so plan accordingly. read more

There's a bunch of options without pork in the hotpot but I don't know what they use to make their soup base. I would recommend calling them before dining in.

No, they offer water free of cost but hot tea is on you. They also have cold teas.
Is this a good place for solo dining? :)
Yes, we have many folks coming in solo for a quick lunch before going back to work.
