When everybody else wanted wings tonight I really was in the mood for a salad. This was a to go order so I tried to minimize any special requests to make things easy. For example, I was thinking about getting a different salad, but I would've wanted it without onions. And there's nothing worse than getting your food home and realizing they messed up your order. Not to say that has happened at this location before. I just didn't want to take a chance. So I ordered the Caesar salad. I was very pleasantly surprised with crisp and fresh, Beautiful Romaine lettuce. The croutons and the Caesar dressing were delivered on the side. And the salad was huge. There was plain grilled chicken on top and a good amount of Parmesan cheese and some cherry tomatoes. I know this wouldn't be the first place to think of for a decent Caesar salad. But I was very happy with it. Big enough for two meals for me. Or shareable if I wanted to share. I forgot to take a picture of the full salad. But the picture I did take was my leftovers. Grubhub ordered some wings from here cos I'm very pregnant, tired, needed some quick protein in my life. Goodness, I haven't had Fire Wings in so long since I am a Wingstop lover but I do like to support Sac origin businesses when I can. I have to say I just had the most saltiest lemon pepper wings I've ever had in my life. The salt was packed on or something. I had to wipe off/scrape the seasoning off with a napkin on all of my wings. Luckily, I only did a 6 wings combo or I would've been more amped up. The Peking and Saigon was the first time I've tried it, they are both too sweet for my taste. The wings overall were cooked well, the garlic noodles were okay. My husband and I have ordered from here quite a few times on DoorDash and I've never really thought that much, but tonight I got five different flavors. I've never ordered so many flavors that are just rubs, I usually get maybe a maximum of three flavors and at least one or two are sauces. Tonight, I got garlic Parmesan, Louisiana rub, California rub, teriyaki, and lemon pepper. The teriyaki flavor was the only one that was an actual sauce so it had a decent amount of flavor. The wings were cooked perfectly, with just the right amount of crispiness and seasoning. This time, I ordered a 6-piece combo and an 8-piece combo, totaling $33.25. For my combos, I chose garlic noodles, seasoned fries, and a drink. Everything was fresh and satisfying. I did dine-in and surprisingly, the restaurant wasn't too busy for a Friday night, which was a nice bonus. The space was clean and well-maintained, making the dining experience even better. But one of the best things about fire wings is they have a wide variety and range of different flavors, so there's really something for everyone Dine-in is not really preferred here. The tables are always sticky and the drink stations are always covered with puddles. So I would get the food to go whenever possible. If you order dry seasoned wings, the wings look big because of all the extra breading. But if you order wet seasoned wings, the wings are actually pretty small compared to Wingstop wings. This place is a hit and miss with every order. Sometimes service and food is great and everything is in the bag when you pick up. And sometimes the wings are overly greasy and there's no dipping sauce at all in the bag when you get home. I wished their dipping sauce cups were bigger or at least they would give out more sauce for the amount of chicken you order as well.
