Coming here after 12 on a Sunday is really not the brightest of ideas, but I was nearby and their bacon turkey bravo sandwiches have always been a huge hit with me. They seem to now have these "table tracker" devices when you eat in, but apparently mine was not working. After about 15 minutes, just when I was going to have to get someone's attention, the guy delivering the food noticed my number and said it wasn't showing up on his end and he had been wondering. I was hungry and a little irritated, so I mentioned that yeah, it had been fifteen minutes. He brought my sandwich over and also brought a chocolate chip cookie (which was MASSIVE) to apologize for the long wait. Their service is good but the quality of their food is just ridiculous. I paid $13 for the new bacon tomato grilled cheese. It had maybe a sprinkle of cheese, decent amount of bacon and then an over load of roasted tomatos. When I think of grilled cheese I expect it to pull apart and ooze with cheese. I always crave bagels after a night out, it's my hangover cure. There isn't an Einstein Bros around, so we decided to try Panera's bagels. Not super disappointing, though I wish they had more selection. The place was clean, the staff was nice, but the bagels just weren't what we wanted them to be. They were just kind of thrown in the bag after being toasted and were already cold by the time we started eating them. If I'm ever desperate for a bagel I might go back, but I think I'll just stick to Panera's lunch and dinner options which are always great. read more

Usually Panera is good. Today I ordered my food and it came out cold. I had no problem, I understand people get busy, but then they forgot to bring my food back out. It takes a lot to make me mad. I also found a hair on my plate, and I didn't say anything because I understand that can happen. Then they wrapped up my food to go and brought it out with an extra roll. Like that made it better. The waiter didn't even say sorry. The waiter said he was going to get the manager, and the manage never came. Next time I guess I will raise hell to get treated a little better. read more

Some of the food was good. The steak & cheddar panini was not good, imo. The bread was not fresh and was super tough to chew. The broccoli & cheddar soup is always delish. The Mediterranean quinoa salad was really good! I also ordered a latte that tasted very weak. Service is good. Courtney, the cashier, is helpful, kind and thorough. The managers were kind as well. The store is not as clean as it can be. They really need one or two more employees, in the afternoon, to help clean the store of the morning crowd's debri from off of the floor and tables, and wipe up the smudgy handmarks printed on the glass windows. read more

This review is primarily focused on the availability, variety and presentation of food suitable for the South Beach Diet plan. There are a number of South Beach friendly breads available at Panera, notably a whole grain bread. The three seed, stone-milled rye, white whole grain, sunflower and country breads should all be suitable in limited quantities. They also feature a couple of lower carbohydrate breads like a pumpkin seed or an Italian herb. Most of their sandwiches can be made South Beach friendly by choosing a more whole grain type of bread. We have mostly purchased the excellent fresh salads while on the diet, such as the Grilled Salmon Salad or the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad. When ordering salads, you are given a choice of a baguette, kettle chips or an apple. We usually order one salad with the apple and one with the whole grain baguette then share each of them. We also like to buy whole grain bagels for breakfast, getting them sliced there for take-out. Panera offers reduced-fat cream cheese which is better for South Beach. A whole bagel counts as two servings of grain on the diet, so plan accordingly. read more

I don't know where to begin with this. I placed a pickup order today and received a notification that my order would take a little longer which I understood. Well I received the notification that my order was ready, meanwhile I see a lady leaving with an order that had drinks like what I ordered. My daughter goes inside to get my order and nothing. I go in and a server asks what name which I provide. Well another lady comes up who I am assuming is the manager and she tells me a delivery order was picked up and I let her know that I placed a pickup order from my car and I had been sitting v outside the whole time, and apparently the lady that was parked next to me left with my order. The manager told me they could remake it. Well it took awhile and I finally got my order. To add insult to injury the manager had the audacity to apologize for my order taking so long. Ma'am it's the fact that someone walked out with my order that was finished that's what you should have apologized for. I'll be calling corporate and sending an email. read more

Years ago, when it first opened, this was my home away from home. I would come in with my laptop and get a ton of work done while I slowly enjoyed my breakfast and coffee. I would stay through lunch, because it's just easier to keep working when someone is cooking for you. Then, a year or so ago, things just went downhill.. I have spoken with the managers, spoken with employees, emailed Panera, and even called their 1-800 numbers. This morning will probably be my last time here. Here are the issues that I encountered today, and have for quite a while: WiFi: it's so slow that some pages don't even load. If I switch my phone off of wifi then I can see my emails, etc. In the past I've called the helpline and the person on the phone treated me as though I did not know how the Internet or Wifi and bandwidth worked. I do. That was insulting and no changes have been made. There's no point in me "camping out" through a couple of meals when I cannot work on anything. Food: this morning I ordered the Four Cheese Soufflé. I didn't find the cheese, and the egg was mealy, almost gritty and textured. The "flaky croissant crust" was wrinkled and seemed like it had been sitting around too long. It was not pleasant. Odor: There is an odor, that you hit like walking into a wall, around the drink station. It smells like old cheese and some form of rot. Think of all the bad odors in ChuckECheese carpet. It's THAT smell. Electrical: I like to sit in one specific spot and it's usually open. However, the outlet that I plug my laptop into is so loose that I have to jam one of the chairs against my plug. If I don't put the chair against the plug it simply falls out of the outlet. The staff behind the counter are lovely and always give me what I need to make my time here pleasant, but the infrastructure no longer supports what Panera claims to be about. There are a lot of local coffee shops in Denton that care about their clientele base. I'll be spending my writing and working time there, supporting local businesses. read more

The employees need to be taught to say "good morning" or something rather than passing by and avoiding eye contact. I was waiting to order, the cashier was making a bagel order and I had 4 other people pass by me and not acknowledge me at all. Have manners been thrown out the door? A "good morning, somebody will be right with you" would be great! Then the cashier came to help me after a bit and said "what can I get for you" ....c'mon guys, I know your managers teach you better than that! Small gestures go a long way! Being there several times. Pastries are decent. Soups usually on the salty side at all times. Last visited 3 weeks ago, was served burned panini. Night manager offered no real solution. Said she was aware of it and claimed it had to do with too much olive oil on the bread. Night manager had no concept that burned food shouldn't be served. Wrote complaint to corporate, never heard back. Looks like a chain store without concern about customer input at the corporate and local level. read more

I ordered from Panera catering online for an organization meeting on campus yesterday, everything went so wonderfully! I really love the way their website is built! It is so easy to build an order, swap items and customize. They even had a list of suggested items for vegetarian/vegan attendees, which came in handy. You could also label those items so they would know which was which. Our location got switched at the last minute. But a quick call to the Panera, and we were able to speak to the catering person (amazingly helpful and friendly) and get it changed to the right location! Everything went so smoothly, and the food was great. It was an excellent experience!! We will be ordering from here again. read more

I ordered breakfast here for me and a coworker and omg their ordering system is so easy! once I went to the side of the place I finally heard my name but the manager came up to me instead and said that their machine was broken so I was unable to get a mocha like I ordered. I wasn't really mad just a little upset because I was looking forward to caffeine but he was so friendly and gave me a refund for the drink and still got me a free hot chocolate! this place really knows how to make a customer's day start off great. read more

So I was not a fan of Panera before but this place completely changed my opinion. I had a delish bowl of baked potato soup and a chocolate chip muffie, my husband had a ham and bacon.sandwich and we were sooooo pleased. It was amazing. The cashier was soo patient and sweet, it was very clean and the gentleman who delivered our food was so kind. My soup was perfect, temperature,texture and flavor, the only complaint is I wish I had ordered more!!! read more

Visited Panera Bread last night for dinner. Had the French onion soup... taste was very good. Arrived luke warm though. Had the white cheddar and steak panini sandwich on Baguette. Was tasty - not a lot of meat though. My friend had some chili and a chicken flat bread sandwich and a cup of turkey chili. Said the turkey was too spicy and the chicken was not very tasty. I tasted the chicken sandwich and did not care for it. Not enough Tabasco to make it something I would want to eat more of. Service was good and quick and prices reasonable. read more

I was in the other day - not that this issue has changed but I am tired of seeing it. They have all those pastries sitting out for us to look at and no cover of any kind on them. I personally observed a fly flitting around from one pastry to another. I discreetly told the cashier. She said yeah - it happens all the time. Cover the stuff up!!! And they are consistently out of something. Order tomato soup...how long does it take you to tell me you don't have it? And why do you not have it? No baguettes? Why not? Tuna Sandwich on baguette - no tuna but we have the baguette! Get it together. Quit trying to reinvent yourself. You are a bagel establishment with a good lunch crowd. Stay with what got you here. Clean up your nasty bathrooms and cover the food. If you have the food uncovered for the world to see in the front - I can only imagine what the kitchen food looks like. read more

Sad to see a place you eat lunch at and frequent often to go so down hill. Unfortunately Panera Bread in Denton is now on my "don't go" list. I wanted the strawberry poppy seed with chicken salad, they did not have the main ingredients to make the salad. My husband wanted a certain broth soup, they didn't have it. He wanted mustard (basic yellow mustard) they didn't have it. When my salad came out the lettuce was limp, they added way too much dressing. The dressing was very sweet and syrupy, did not taste like their normal dressing. They were definitely having a very off day. Not sure I will go back. One thing they are proud of is their menu prices which for the food we received today was totally not worth what we paid. Very disappointed. read more

We came in today to order our bagel like usual and they were completely out of almost all varieties. The lady behind the counter, which was rude, said it's bagel Tuesday which is why they were out. I said, does that happen every Tuesday. Yes, she replied. Well if you're consistently out of bagels on bagel Tuesday you would think the manager would order extra for that occasion. So if the manager is reading this please do something about it. The man behind the counter was very helpful and tried to see if there were any in the back, but got interrupted by the lady when she said "we don't". If there were another Panera around us we would certainly go there. This is not the first time we have had issues with rude staff, or inconsistent stock orders for bagels. read more

Let me tell y'all the predicament that just occurred! I found a long black/brown curly hair in my salad! Deep in the bowels of my salad. I have straight brown hair with highlights so it couldn't have been my hair and I barely touched the bottom of the salad yet. And lo and behold we pull out this long hair! My boyfriend told the cashier and ended up getting another salad to go (which was not as big as the original salad). But not once did they apologize. To summarize my spiel, we will not be coming back to this location, their customer service needs to improve. read more

Every time I go to Panera, my food is brought out within minutes of ordering. I usually get a sandwich (Mediterranean Veggie, yum yum) with a few ingredient removals, and they are always spot on with accuracy. The vegetables are all fresh and crisp (especially tomatoes, which are often limp and discolored at other restaurants). read more

The restaurant is clean, the staff are friendly, and the food is good. It can get busy at lunch and parking is a little limited during peak times. I don't frequent this restaurant as much as I used to do to menu changes. The asiago beef sandwich was my go-to sandwich but it was removed a couple of years ago. I switched to the Asian sesame chicken salad but that too was removed from the menu. I had the potato soup the last time I was there and it was good but I need more than soup for lunch. I wish they'd put my favorite sandwich and salad back on the menu...I would start frequenting them again. read more

We went to Panera Bread today to have a Fuji Apple Chicken salad. It comes with a piece of French bread. We ordered a diet coke and a coffee with it, assuming that we could have a decaf coffee. Well, after we have paid and gotten the mug for the coffee, we found out that Panera Bread stops serving decaf in the afternoon. Seriously? When we got our food, the bread was as stale as sour dough bread can be. The manager told me that the bread was baked freshly in the morning and that is the way the bread is. The cup of non decaf coffee was full of coffee grounds. When brought to his attention, all he said was: "Thank you for bringing this to our attention." I would not recommend Panera Bread for its service or its bread. I don't think I will be going back read more

I love Panera's food but almost every time I order delivery something is missing. It even shows on the receipt the bag was supposedly checked for everything but my chips were gone this time. Last time the sauce for my sandwich, and the time before that the soup to my pick two. I called in and the manager said she would get them sent right out, about 35 min later I got the chips. I see no point in trying to re deliver the items if it's going to be that long because by the time they get to you the other food you ordered is cold. They did include a cookie but it doesn't make up for multiple wrong orders. read more
