I have been a DEVOTED customer at this location. 90% of my business has been via their delivery service and their drivers are, for the most part, exceptional. Tonight, I'm so unhappy...I tried to place an online order at around 8:03 this evening. I thought the app was failing when it wouldn't accept my order, so I tried to call it in. There was no answer on the main line. I verified the store was opened until 10pm. Called again and followed the automated system instructions and again it rang and rang and rang. So on the third try I selected the "speak with a manager" option. Someone named GILDA finally answered. I explained my issues and requested that I be allowed to phone in my delivery order. She said the reason this app wouldn't allow me to place the order (or failed on me) is because they do not accept delivery requests after 8:00pm. I commented that they should post that on the ordering app since they are opened for a couple of hours later. She said she had never looked for that on the app but that it probably was posted. . I explained that because I have mobility issues, I really use & appreciate the delivery option so that was disappointing. She said all the drivers clock out at 8pm, and she was just following the rules. Then she said I could use the quick order pickup. To which I replied if I could do that then I would just DRIVE THRU. But I'm handicapped, thus the reliance on the delivery. Sigh. We went back and forth some more. But here is my point: I just wanted to be heard and share my concern, as a client, regarding the fact that this isn't noted online either clearly or at all. I was offering a suggestion. And yes, I was complaining since I was caught off guard and disappointed. I like Panera's food. I told her that I understood "the rules" now and was only giving an attitude because I did not feel like I was being heard. She just talked AT me, not with me. GILDA's lack of customer service skills and robotic repeating that the quick order pick up is still available (if I drive up there and pick it up) was irritating. There is more to "managing" a successful eatery than memorizing a passage in the manual. This is the type of scenario that drives away long term customers. So, if anyone out there even cares at this point, Panera only delivers from 11am to 8pm. And if you're handicapped and hungry at any other time...well too bad. read more

I love this place, don't get me wrong. They just tend to get my order wrong. 3 times now. I order Chicken Caesar with potato soup. Drive thru. Great service. Just wrong order, disappointing but what recommend unless eating in. read more

Food is so fresh and full of flavor. My favorite place to stop when passing through! The chipotle chicken melt is amazing!

Love the food, always excellent. The customer service however is less than acceptable. As a walk in the store is great at facilitating needs and fixing issues. Through the drive thru or over the phone the customer service is awful. The management is overly polite without solving problems or handling things in a timely fashion. I continue to have issue with poor management over many young employees. Seems to be standard at some fast casual places here in Denton. read more

I went here this morning to get a meal before work, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly my food came out! I got the pick 2 with Corn Chowder soup and the Bacon Turkey Bravo. The soup was hot and the sandwich was fresh and yummy! The staff were also very friendly. Will definatly be back!! read more

I'm a fan of Panera Bread. Good, healthy food. This location has easy ordering with the person at the counter or several computers for easy ordering and pay with a cc. Warning: This location gets really busy on the weekends but we still got our food relatively quick and all of our orders were correct. read more

I'm only willing to visit Panera when their iPad self service machines are working, otherwise I'm out if there. 25 minutes is too long to wait in a long line with a single cashier. Their sandwiches are healthier than most, and I did love the baker-lady walking around with free scone samples. It's pricey but you're paying for the cute little coffee shop star-bucks-y atmosphere. Bread bowls are good, soups are decent. Turkey club is my personal favorite. Nothing to wait in line for though. read more

The service has been fantastic each time I've been. They've been out of bread bowls every time unfortunately. The price is ridiculous for the amount of effort that goes into the food...the sandwich I got was extremely chewy and difficult to eat; the flatbread I got was literally dripping wet and one side was so soggy that it was inedible. It's really a bummer to spend $11 on tiny portion sizes and on food that seemed to have been literally thrown together and then microwaved. 2 stars because the service has been consistently good. This restaurant needs some decent management! I went there just to get some cookies. There was one person ahead of me ordering a really large order and I waited for about 15 min while the manager wandered by several times glancing at me but not acknowledging me, there were about 6 or 7 other employees around but no one offered to help me. I ordered a rapid order at the very end of the day & while the food was delicious (duh) they forgot to bag one of my salads. This wasn't a big deal because I was off the next day so I just asked if I could pick it up then. I spoke to Carley on the phone & in the store the next day. She was so nice & professional! Not only did they upgrade my salad to a full, but they also gave me a free drink. Personally, I think the great customer service was worth the 5 stars alone. I have never been to Panera Bread, but i was plesantly surpised at how good the food was and the staff. It was clean, the line went quickly and the food was great. the student working at the counter did a good job or handling the line and all the orders, she was swamped, but kept a smile on her face the whole time, even when she could have taken a break, she went to go bus a table and make sure the dinning area was clean. I will go back to this store every time I am in town now. It is great to see a college student working hard and taking pride in her work. Her name tag said Jose, but I heard someone call her kassidy. This Panera has good food but it is usually miserable to eat at because it is always super crowded combined with it being a smaller-sized building. It is nice that they often walk around handing out free dessert samples but how about samples of the healthy stuff? read more

I love Panera and this location is a good one! This was my go-to haven between classes when I was attending UNT. The food doesn't disappoint and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about their products. The whole experience is quick, easy, and has very healthy options. One cool thing about this location is that it has a drive thru! If you do have time to sit and eat in the dining room, they do walk around with free samples. I love this place! read more

I ordered " You Pick 2" meal. The half turkey bacon sandwich and chicken cobb with avocado salad. The salad filled about 1/3 of the bowl and they only have 3 options for salad dressings. The man who dropped off our food, said the people in the area are opposed to options like Ranch. The tomato basil bread on the sandwich lacked flavor. And my meal cost over $13. You can go to McAlisters deli and get a the same meal deal for less cost and the salad is twice the size. read more

This location will give you an incomplete order and then blame you that your order is incorrect. I ordered a tuna sandwich on crescent bread. I returned home (30 minutes away) to realize that my sandwich was missing. When I called the manager, Lanie Craig, she told me it was my fault for not checking the order before I left! Unbelievable! The high school employee who put the rest of the order in the bag was right there in the pickup line next to my order but didn't say anything to me as he was too busy flirting with the girl in the kitchen. There were no other customers in the entire restaurant, but Lanie claimed that the mistake was understandable because they have a lot of orders. I paid online, but they refused to cancel my order or complete the refund online, insisting that I come into the store in person for a PARTIAL refund. So if you enjoy lousy customer service and rude, confrontational management, this Panera location is probably for you. Otherwise, there are so many other great options on University Drive and 288 to choose from. We will never be back. read more

I LOVE Panera Bread, but I am having constant problems with the drive through at the store at Rayzor Ranch in Denton, Texas. About every third time, they don't get my order right, or they're out of what I ordered. Today, I ordered an Italian sandwich, sat in line, and when I got to the window was told that they don't sell that sandwich anymore. Probably the worst experience at a Panera I've ever had. I usually enjoy Panera at least once a month but I will never come back to this location. Upon walking in there were two people behind the counter and one looked like he was waiting for the next customer, which would be me. Neither of them acknowledged my presence, didn't say a word. After employee A finished taking the other customers order she walked around the corner and didn't return. Employee B did something at the register and then turned and walked in the kitchen. At this point neither my son or I have been greeted or acknowledged in any way. So I decided to use the self-serve kiosk to order. We received our order in a timely manner but when I looked at the bowl my son's food was served in, there was dried food and crud all on the outside of the bowl. I took it to the nearest employee who asked me what I wanted. Obviously I want my sons food served in a clean bowl. I chose not to make a scene because I am spending the day with my son, but needless to say, I won't be back. If I was the manager here I would have checked on this table after hearing that they received food in dirty bowls. read more

I feel like every time I come here, my order is incorrect or is missing items. That was the case again today, and I called to let the manager know what happened. The second time I came through, I chose something different that was comped by the manager, and my food was haphazardly thrown together. In my salad, I received basically just lettuce, old tomatoes, and mushy brown avocado. I used to love Panera, but it seems like every time I visit lately, my food is thrown together with no regard to quality. I thought that was what this brand was about. good food, but the service is really lacking. i go in this morning, my wife wants an egg pie. there is no one else ordering. i am about 2 steps from the cashier, and out of nowhere, this woman cuts in front of me, and starts asking the cashier questions about her smart phone. i am at first thinking, what a rude person. an maybe this aint the food line, it is the smart phone information line. but i can wait. or can i? she is going on and on about the phone, i am thinking, hey, all i want is a to go pie, i aint got no stoopid questions. I AM HERE TO GET FOOD. some other people come in, and we are all standing there, waiting on this rude person, and dumbass cashier, both are OBLIVIOUS to their surroundings, and just looking at this phone. finally, the cashier looks up(or wakes up), and asks the rude female if he can wait on the others in line. i was about to ask if i was in the white persons only line(since i aint white). no discount for vets(i am a disabled vietnam vet), or seniors(i am 72), and no customer service. from now on, if my wife wants panera, she goes by herself. read more
