My personal favorites are the Tan Tan Men, and Shrimp Shumai. The squid and Takoyaki are also dope if you are into such things (I am). The only issue the prices have increased (but that's obvious in this economy ), and the menu prices listed on Yelp are not accurate (the Tokyo Tonkotsu is $14, not $9). The ambiance is really chill and the decorations are really pretty upon walking in. Christian was an extremely kind, patient, and thorough server, thank you for a great time! We wanted some tempura and the waiter told us there were 6 pieces of tempura on rice that they have, it was only 3 small pieces. They don't offer beef noodles, but they had beef on rice, and we just mixed that beef with our noodles. Also, they don't have udon or anything other than ramen. My daughter had a spicy bowl of Ramen, and I initially had a bowl of Curry Raman. The Curry Raman was very flavorful, but the broth was very thick like gravy. I really tried to like it, but I just couldn't get over the texture after a few bites. I never like to make a big fuss when I dine out, but I just couldn't eat it. Reluctantly, I asked our server if I could exchange my Curry Ramen for the Veggie Ramen. He was very kind and understanding about it. My Veggie Ramen was piping hot and on the table within 5-7 minutes. It had a very unique, earthly flavor to it. After a few bites, I couldn't eat anymore of it. However, my daughter tasted it and loved it. She said she was going to take it and eat it for lunch the following day. The restaurant was very clean and the decor was pretty awesome. The cold season is here and you know what that means... ramen time!!! it was pretty busy when we got there, but the weight staff did see us down pretty quickly and got our orders pretty quickly. There weren't alot of people there but at the same time, at 70+ degrees, I wouldn't expect many people wanting Ramen! The Edamame was a little overcooked in that some of the pods were a bit wiggly or soggy-ish and alot were split open. The shrimp dumplings and squid legs were hot and very good. My friend ordered the vegetarian Ramen while I ordered the seafood vegetable Ramen. We both agreed that the Ramen was very bland. She added a spicy paste to hers and said it helped alot. Watching them microwave our dishes wasn't encouraging. We ordered the karrage don and miso ramen. The chicken was greasy and rubbery and the miso broth tasted fishy and foul with overcooked noodles. One of my favorite spots. Very easy to order for pick up or go in person. The tricky part is the location being on a corner with limited parking. The gyoza is so good. I love the sauce it comes with. I typically stick with a black tonkotsu, but add spicy pork. I love the new half and half option to try something new. Best ramen in DFW! I have been to the Denton location and the Fort Worth location, and they are both consistently mind-blowing. I've tried many ramen shops in DFW, and this is my favorite. On my last trip to the location in denton, I got the Karikara Chicken, which is my favorite appetizer of all time. I then did the "half and half" ramen bowl with the Black Tonkotsu and the Shoyu. The Black Tonkotsu is deliciously garlic, and the Shoyu was smooth and refreshing, with a taste of seafood. My wife also got the edamame and fried rice, both of which were great. We tried the fried tofu, but we weren't a huge fan of how big the pieces were. The only opportunity that I'd mention was the service. The waiter and staff weren't rude or anything, but they did not attend to us very well. They also brought all of our food out individually over a 10 minute time frame, which was kinda weird. They were also out of order in terms of main dishes and appetizers. But I still give them 5 stars, because the service is usually better and the food was amazing. read more

Green tea Gyoza Japanese Curry Visited for a quick lunch this week. Was not disappointed with the food. It was slow when we visited- I liked the clean interior and prompt, attentive service. Our food came out quickly and my favorite was the gyoza, which were perfectly flavored and light/crispy! I got the curry katsu don- the breaded chicken was delicious- the curry, which was like a gravy, complimented the chicken and rice. Really great selection! I have been coming here for over a year now. I love this place so much. I try to come here once a week. I always get the same appetiser the Age Gyoza. I love it so much. It's always a perfect start to my meal. I then get a bowl of ramen. I usually get the Tokyo Tonkatsu, but here and now I switch it up. AND THEY HVE BAMBOO SHOOTS. My favourite on top of ramen!!!!! This will always be my favourite place to get ramen. The service is quick and amazing. The music is a vibe and I love just getting to sit at the bar and do my own thing and eat. I love this place. I have driven by this place many times on my way to work and have been waiting for the day try it. I was with my husband, brother, and mom and we all decided we wanted to try something new and I remembered this place. We had just gotten down playing a kickball tournament on Labor Day, so we were starving! We arrived and the small parking lot in the back was full! Luckily as we drove up someone was pulling out. I ordered the Kara Miso Ramen, which is the spicy version of the regular Miso Ramen, and when I say spicy I mean spicy. My brother and mom both ordered the Vegetable Ramen and added a side of the spicy ground pork, warning it is really spicy for those of you who don't like spicy things. And my husband ordered the Baisen Miso Ramen. When our meals were brought out our eyes were wide with how big the bowls were. Can't say we left even a little bit hungry. The bowls were piping hot and chocked full of fresh delicious vegetables and tender meat, like literally it fell apart as I picked it up with my chopsticks. Servers make or break restaurants and tonight's service made us never want to come back and tell every person we know about our experience. I have no idea what our servers name was, he never introduced himself. There were multiple times through dinner when we needed something and he never stopped by, he never asked us a single question the entire time we were there. We had to verbally holler at him anytime we wanted something. When we ordered, we had to holler and flag him down to tell him what we wanted. I was watching his every move the entire time we were in there trying to get his attention and he never looked my way. Also not a single piece of trash, empty Dr. Pepper can or dirty dish was taken away from our table. We had a pile of trash, cans and dirty dishes on our table the entire time we at dinner. This trash pile was not hidden or hard to reach, it was directly on the edge of our booth table and could clearly be seen from any place in the restaurant but not a single person working here gave a shit. The bus boy came out of the back multiple times to clean tables but never looked our way. I personally will never step foot in this place again because of how lackluster and incompetent the entire staff is. Denton doesn't have ramen spot around and I was excited to try it here . I know it was opened around two years  back but I didn't have the chance until last Thursday. I really wanted to like this ramen place since I had heard good reviews of it's another branch at Carrollton. However me and my partner are both very disappointed. He got the seafood ramen and I got the tonkastsu with extra pork chasu.We both found the broth r the  since the broth was flavourless. Ramen is all about the noodle and broth .
