Completely dead at 4pm on a Friday. Honestly I should have just left after seeing no business. Not inedible but the quality of every ingredient tasted about as good as kroger or HEB sushi. I got the salmon tower bowl, and while it does look like a lot of sauce, it's a lot of everything. Over sized portion with cheap ingredients. Won't be returning. read more

Sushi Rollin’ - Salmon Tower Bowl - Sushi Bars Near Me - Lewisville, Texas

This sushi spot is definitely worth a visit--I enjoyed it so much the first time that I came back to try something new. This round, I ordered the Salmon Tower Bowl. (Yes, the salmon is under all that sauce!) The bowl came with white rice and a crab salad, and while the flavors were great, I personally felt it had a little more sauce than I prefer--so I'd give the dish 4 stars. The service here is consistently fast and friendly, and I love that there's no long wait and open seating makes it easy to settle in right away. The restaurant itself is a bit outdated, but still clean and comfortable. If you're craving a quick, tasty sushi fix without the wait, I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try! read more

This was my second time trying this place since their soft opening. I don't like giving bad reviews, but I suggest avoiding this venue at all cost. Sushi Rollin' serves the cheapest ingredients and slaps them on top of rice hoping the large amount of sauce they use would hide the lack of quality and taste. Price point is egregiously higher than what these foods cost to make. I can't imagine the quality of their sushi. I ordered a salmon bowl and they gave half a spoonful of microwaved salmon. The bulgogi bowl lacked any type of actual meat. Service was quick - which isn't exactly a good thing in this case. I figured they microwaved everything. Ambiance was sad. The restaurant was empty with a couple waiting for their food to be prepared. read more

New place with a nice interior, better service and great food! We ordered the Alaskan roll, Angry Wife, shrimp fried rice and dumplings. The location is really cute inside and would be a solid location for a date night or business lunch. They have a seemingly large collection of saki and other bottled drinks. Also, the service was great as the lady at the front was very helpful and outgoing. The Alaskan roll was beautiful and tasted great as was the Angry Wife roll. My family freaked out on the dumplings as they were incredible! You'll thank me later. The fried rice was just okay, as it's lacking in flavor and didn't have any color from veggies. It was still fine, but next time we'll stick to sushi rolls and sashimi. As a whole we had a great experience and will definitely be back. Definitely recommend! read more

Again, and again, best place to enjoy the most perfect sushi lunch or dinner. I just had the most delicious Golden California Roll and some fried dumplings. Totally the best. 12 people at our table. Every meal was beautifully plated. Perfect! Service was amazing. Perfect setting, room for everyone. Best place ever!! read more

We enjoyed our first experience dining here for my daughter's birthday. Was kind of surprised no one else was there because it was very good. The popcorn shrimp was really good but didn't necessarily love the roll itself. There were lots of rolls on the menu that sounded amazing so look forward to going back to try more. read more

How in the world has this sushi place been in Lewisville for almost 2 years?! This is the epitome of a hidden gem. Ignore that it's in an older strip mall. I say that, but honestly, we were a big gun shy when we arrived at 6 PM on a Saturday night and the place was empty with the exception of one other table with other customers. We took a chance to based on the previous yelpers, and were so glad we did. Staff was very friendly and all of the food was 100% fresh and on point. As a previous yelper recommended, we started out with a cucumber salad, which provided the great accompaniment to all of the rolls we ordered later. Some sushi places skimp on the toppings, but this one completely loads down their specialty rolls. Overall a great place. Simple atmosphere, but great quality sushi. We will be back. read more

The food was ok, the sushi roll was good. But we couldn't enjoy the experience because of the ridiculously strong odor of cleaning chemicals mixed with deep fried smells coming from the kitchen. It was so bad that our eyes were watering and we had to get to-go containers and leave early. They need much better ventilation and switch to an unscented cleaner. read more

This may be controversial but I believe the best sushi in DFW is to be found here. I say that at the risk of never being able to get in the door again, but trust me, it's worth it. No-nonsense tableware in a strip mall next to a Winco -- leave your attitude towards sushi at home. The added appetizer at the end of the meal was one of the best things I've ever eaten, and I've dined at top restaurant Pujol. Start with the cucumber salad and let it carry you throughout your meal...it will compliment anything else you order. Continue with any one of the special rolls and be sure to enjoy some nigiri and sashimi. I've been a few times and one day, I'll leave room for dessert. Well, as soon as they add some to the menu. *hint, hint* read more

The service is very fast and efficient, but that could be because I'm usually there when there's not many people there. The food was amazing and colorful and I loved the flavors together. I got the poke bowl and I would get it again. Another great experience at this place. read more

The place may be small and short of the usual frills you may associate with sushi. But the sushi chef's talent, creativity and reasonable prices more than make worthwhile stop. There was this seaweed wrapped and flash fried red snapper that was just amazing! Even though it had been fried, it had a clean almost refreshing umami taste. The spicy tuna was fresh and flavorful. I recommend the spicy tuna on the crispy rice. It may be a mega mouthful but it's even better than the one at the Cheesecake Factory and cheaper! Can't wait to go back! read more

This business opened up earlier this year, but for being so new, I think they are doing a solid job. Honestly, I wouldn't have known they existed if they didn't pop up on GrubHub a couple months ago. I tend to not be very impressed by sushi places in Highland Village and Lewisville that have higher ratings, but this one is very promising! I've ordered lunch delivered to my work quite a few times since March and I've been very satisfied with almost everything I've tried. Their quality and freshness exceeds other restaurants nearby. While this review cannot comment on atmosphere or customer service, I would say this place is 4 1/2 stars for the food. I wouldn't say the entire menu is great, but the sushi is excellent and a great find in the area. The only thing I wouldn't order again was the chicken fried rice. I'm all for places being creative with their food, but while you expect veggies in your fried rice this only had a ton of mushrooms, a little egg, and a mediocre portion of chicken. I didn't care for the taste and I was confused by the preparation. So I'm not super confident in trying other entrees. I've tried several appetizers and am willing to try more, because they were tasty. So far I've tried the fried pork gyoza and the shrimp tempura. Both were made well and worth trying again. Those dumplings especially were crispy, prepared perfectly and yummy! I've tried a variety of sushi- nigiri, hand rolls, regular rolls and the salmon tower bowl. I will say that the hand rolls need a little work. They were delicious, but out of the 3 I tried, 2 were made top heavy so they immediately fall apart. The fresh ingredients kept it from being too disappointing, but it was challenging to eat. The salmon roll I ordered (at this point they had only been open a couple months) was a bit light on the salmon. It was tasty, I just wanted 3 times the amount of salmon. However, it's a good price, I would order that again. All other items I've tried have been stellar- made perfectly and consistently. I am a huge fan of the red snapper and salmon and will continue to order those as I try new items. I cannot stress enough how happy I am with the quality and freshness of the food here! I also think the prices are extremely fair and have been happy with the portions I'm getting as well. They have definitely earned their way into my lunch rotation and I recommend giving them a try! read more

Fresh sushi and great prices here! It's in a shopping center parking lot so there are plenty of spaces around if not right in front of the shop. Came here after reading a few reviews online. This place did not disappoint. Kind of a hole in the wall location but the restaurant was clean and the kitchen was clean. My son and I ordered the fried gyozo, the California roll, the golden spicy tuna roll and the rainbow roll. The sushi tasted fresh was done really well. The golden spicy roll was my favorite and they got the crunch just right. The staff wasn't overall chatty, but nice, the service was super fast, overall a great experience. Don't let the paper plates in the photos fool you this was a good spot that should attract folks that don't want to drive all the way across town for a good sushi option. read more

Wow. Great new place. The food is fresh and tasty. Young chef is making unique rolls you need to try. In fact, he gave us a sample of a new creation he was working on and it was very good. He is thinking of having a weekly off-menu special which is a great way to keep the faithful coming back, besides all the other reasons. Very friendly. Great service. New, clean strip mall setting inside. We started with fried gyoza and enjoyed volcano, cry baby 2, and titanic rolls. All superb. Price is good for the quality and service. We will definitely be back to try the many other offerings. read more

Y'alllllllllllllllllllllllllll............... I want to keep this place all to myself so we get special attention on all of our visits, but I also want everyone in the metroplex to order sushi from them daily so they stay open forever, so here goes. I eat sushi probably once a week, from anywhere including the Kroger deli to 5 star multiple $$ places. I thought Sushi Rollin would make a good snack for the once in awhile craving. How wrong I was!!! THE FISH... SO FRESH. The tuna sashimi melted in my mouth. The rolls were like candy. The potstickers (one of my go-to's) fresh and crispy without being greasy. My favorite had to be the stuffed jalapenos though... they were huge, lots of crab, balance on spicy, not drowned in sauce, I want them daily. It's a nondescript entrance near the Winco on Main St. Walk in to a clean, bright, almost scandinavian atmosphere, some music that made me feel like I one of the cool kids, and smiling, friendly service. Try this place. HIGHLY recommend. Go here now!!! read more

I randomly stumbled upon Sushi Rollin and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and attentive, but what I enjoyed the most about this place was the food. Each dish was pleasing to the eyes and tastebuds. I will definitely come again to try more unique sushi rolls in the future. The stuffed mushroom was on point. read more

Disappointed. Went here because it was a holiday and they were the only sushi place open over our favorites (best thing going for them) but other than that it was terrible. Got a philadelphia roll and by my own mistake ordered a philadelphia hand roll instead, my mistake but at the same price as the roll this small thing had barely anything in it and should not cost $9-- like $4 at most! I also ordered a tuna tower for $18, which had very little tuna, barely any fish eggs and honestly was largely rice. I have never been so disappointed by a sushi place, or a tuna tower! This place was overpriced when there are so many actually good places. Spent $30 I can't get back and sushi made me sad for the first time in my life. Pass. The inside is cute though if you wanna eat inside. read more
