Let's set the stage. This is a little more than a sushi lunch counter. Modest seating with a bar area (No, not a sushi bar). Only 11 types of nigiri and sashimi. No wait staff. Not great for groups and they should invest in a few lamps. With that said... this place is great!! Again, this is not a fancy sushi restaurant. The sushi is delicious. The rice has actually been seasoned. Not the best flavored rice, but better than most. I had the Lion King roll and smoked salmon, yellow tail and Flying Fish Roe nigiri. All were good. The Loin King roll was flat out delicious. The nigiri was just the other side of "okay". For the quality of food, the prices were outstanding! Nigiri $3.95 for two pieces. Regular rolls $3.95. We've come to this place so many times since living in the area. Always fresh. Always made to order. Always so kind and accommodating. Always delicious. Anytime I go anywhere else for sushi, I find myself comparing it to Sushi Go. That means it's good, right?! The strip center might deter you but check out this hidden gem! read more

The second I walked in the door I was treated by these two very nice people and I knew it was going to be good. It was the only sushi place open at 4pm in the area so we tried it. It was an awesome experience. We ordered 5 rolls and dumplings for the 4 of us and paid around $50. The service was excellent. The place smelled super clean and not fishy so I already knew it was gonna be good. The sushi all had awesome flavors and pleased the whole family. We will be back! read more

This place is MAGIC! The sushi was the best I've ever had. I nearly blew my pants off with excitement over the tuna roll that hit my lips. The sushi is huge! Bigger than a banana! Bigger than my momma! Dear lord Jesus I cannot praise this place enough. Every grain of rice tastes of care and excellence. The chef treats the rice like little orphans he has adopted into his delicious family. He loves them and nurtures them, preparing them for the world of incredible taste. A symphony of flavors. A sonnet of pure sensual love on my palette. I wept. I wept as I finished every last piece of sushi. My only regret was not ordering more. Flock to this beacon of hope people of Texas! Flock to it and experience what I have experienced! Joy, love, peace and happiness unfathomable. Listen. I went again to this establishment. And again I wept. Have you ever experienced perfection twice? I have. And I can truthfully say that anyone who gives this place less than 4 stars is a moron. Places like this are easily overlooked. It's in a plaza sandwiched between two other businesses that don't seem to have much going on. The restaurant itself is also quiet but I'm glad God led me here. Delicious sushi for a fair price. I got 2 yummy rolls for $10!! I ordered the crunchy crab roll and a Philadelphia roll. The service was great and the facility is well maintained. I think the place is run by a couple. They were very friendly. I will definitely be back :) read more

Girlfriend and I eat here weekly, generally on fridays but when we have guests in town we'll order other days. The food is great, quality is right for the price and the staff are always very nice. Family owned franchise. The only negative is order time. They do take longer than quoted time. As in when they say 45 mins, we don't get into the car until 45 minutes later and still have to wait 5-10 mins after we get there. Would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone. read more

You can't really beat the prices but honestly, the sushi has just not been good recently. I'm not sure what's changed, but the sushi just doesn't taste the same. Also, don't buy the house salad. It's sweet and VERY fishy with a massive chunk of avocado and crab in it. Not sure what they were thinking there. read more

Our family has a birthday tradition to have sushi on my wife's birthday, which was yesterday. We had not tried Sushi Go Flower Mound before, but we trusted our fellow Yelpers, as there were generally very good reviews. Add us to that list - fantastic take out sushi and worth all five stars!! We ordered six different rolls and the potstickers - all were very fresh, very large and delicious. Let me add again how FRESH all of the ingredients were. I could bore you with how tasty the Dynamite roll was or how the Tuna Too roll added just the right amount of heat. Just trust those of us who have tried and loved this place - highly recommended! What a great place! Decided to try it out after a late night and I was really surprised by the service. I was immediately greeted warmly and the worker behind the counter was eager to offer his help. Prices are reasonable. Store is small but it's perfect for what they offer. They definitely focus on take out and delivery. While my family and I waited, they offered us these little star shaped chips. As more time passed they made something for us to try - I think it was the spicy tuna hand roll. I was amazed by the sushi chef who, although had a rather thick korean accent, was so friendly and eager to converse with us. I was having an unsociable day, but because of him and his staff, I was enjoying their conversation. Such a friendly group of people. And the food is just as good! The samplers he gave us were amazing, and I don't even like tuna as sushi that much. I ordered the Lion King and it was on point. Perfect mix of spicy and sweet. I will definitely come back here. Mi so disappointed Sushi was mediocre; very glad I only got one roll and nothing w raw fish because even the shared California roll is concerning and aggressively mediocre. They were unable to complete my order, even AFTER having to turn around and go back. When I called to give feedback, I was presented with terrible customer service. When I requested a refund for the salad that should have came w ginger dressing, that I did not receive, he proceeded to tell me he would fix it next time I come in.... Very hopeful to assume I'm coming back. Would not recommend. They did give me a free coke for my troubles and disappointment.... How big of them. Also their miso soup just has soggy crispy things and no real tofu?? Shocked and appalled lol read more

You can order combinations as you like, including a bunch of pre-created entrees. The breadth of options is pretty good ranging from a chirashi sushi bowl; bibim bop bowls; galbi; shrimp and chicken. It's like a street vendor feel in a small restaurant space. It's a smaller place and the 5-6 tables. There's also high top seating around the glass to add a few more chairs. But the spaces filled up quick during lunch and I can see it being a bit crazy at peak times. One treasure I found was a side order of Kimchee ($1.49) to add with your meal and I will tell you I'd go back just for that. My entree was the Bibim Bop for $12; wife got the chicken and shrimp for $15 and my daughter got the poke bowl for $13. We also got some gyoza dumplings (4) for $2.49. Side of white rice and a fountain drink go for $2 each. They also give you the two sauces with the meal just like the full-service hibachi places. The Bibim seems to be a little lacking in the protein. Could have used a little more bulgogi in there I thought instead of being overloaded with other items. My daughter's bowl, the fish, seemed to be clean and tasty albeit a very simplified version. My wife's was the biggest disappointment of the day as the chicken was dry, which isn't surprising since chicken always seems to be hard for hibachi to be tender. Shrimp were good, with tail on. I thought the noodles my wife ordered with it were ok as well. You can't go to this chain, quick-prep place and expect super high-end but for a quick stop and a pretty decent representation of hibachi styles it more than holds its own. It was just under $60 with tip and so I wouldn't call it a steal of a deal either. But I'd say fair value and fast service. Do yourself a favor and try that side of kimchee. Wish them luck with the new location opening!

Ordered carry out last night. I was not impressed. It felt dirty inside, the sushi wasn't anything special. I don't know about this review claiming to be really familiar with Japan. But I lived in Tokyo for 10 years, my husband is Japanese, and Sushi go isn't the least bit special compared to a lot of really nearby establishments Overpriced... Food was lack-luster in taste. Sushi that are under $10 are usually made up of more rice than fish or are very small but the sushi we got were enormous. The owner was very kind and generous. He asked if it was our first time visiting and when we said yes, he gave us more food as bonus. The place is a quaint little family run place so it feels very homely. The 90s k-pop they were playing deserve all the stars; it made the whole experience better and made waiting for our food much more enjoyable. We will definitely come back some time soon. read more

The owners are some of the nicest people I've met. I came here with three friends and we waited outside of the restaraunt for a couple of minutes, so the owners were apologetic. They ended up gaving us some mandu, a sushi roll, and bottled water on the house! The restaraunt is clean and cosy, the fish is fresh, and the sushi rolls are big. Fantastic. Who would expect such amazing flavor from what looks like a hole in the wall. I ordered two specialty rolls, the Angry Wife and the Cry Baby too, and was blown away with the freshness and size of my fish. The salmon was heavenly smooth and spicy due to the fresh jalapeños. Around closing time I got a call from the owner saying, "Hey, your food is ready. We close at 8:30. Can you come grab it?" I apologized and said I would be there in five minutes. When I pulled up, the shop was fully closed. Lights off. Doors locked. And there he was outside in about 30 degree weather holding my bag. He walked it right to my car. I apologized again and told him I felt terrible for keeping him late. Without hesitation, without attitude, without even a hint of frustration, he just smiled and said, "No problem. You are my neighbor. That is what neighbors do." That stopped me in my tracks. He had every reason to be annoyed. He could have left. He could have canceled the order. Instead, he stayed late, waited in the cold, and treated me like a friend. In a time where people feel more divided and rushed than ever, that kind of simple human kindness is rare and really meaningful. And here is the thing, this is not a one off. Every time I come here, they ask how I am doing and they actually listen to the answer. Whether it's the person making the sushi, running the register, or the owner himself, I have never once felt rushed or like an inconvenience. They genuinely care. As for the food, it is exactly what Sushi Go is supposed to be: consistently good, fresh, affordable sushi done right. You are not going for a formal omakase experience, and that is not what they are trying to be. They deliver solid quality, fast, and reliably, and they do it extremely well. The ahi tower is awesome, and we have never had a bad meal here. They absolutely get the food right, and that matters. But just as important is how you are treated when you walk through the door, and Sushi Go gets both perfectly.
