Just salads with side rice, onions, a few seaweed morsels, & cubed tuna, sans sauce, dressing, or flavor~ not a poké bowl folks.
    Queen B.

Disappointing! Bland, overpriced, & unsatisfying. Ordered two poke bowls, one regular tuna & the other spicy~ we were charged $14.95 for the plain, $13.95 for the spicy tuna. Why are they being priced differently? They are the exact same dish except the 'spicy' had a marinade thinly basted over the tuna. They also added spicy drizzle on both side rices. Most importantly, these are not justifiable "poke bowls", but more honestly just like a spring green salad with side rice and some raw fish, sliced onions, with a literal few slivers of seaweed. Its unacceptable! No flavor. No sauce. No traditionally included toppings that MAKE the poke bowl scrumptious and complex: like potential pickled ginger, scallions, edamame, carrots, mango/pineapple, cucumber, avocado, crunchies etc with actual sauces. It was ONLY onions & a bit of seaweed besides greens, rice, fish. I literally had to go to my fridge & pull out some salad dressing & sweet chili sauce just to eat it, bc it was mostly dry packed spring greens under the onions & cubed fish. The drinks here cost more than other boba tea shops & at this rate, it feels like this is just lazy pseudo asian cuisine~ serving every dish as a cost cutting bare minimum clone of the other dishes just to be hyped by the selection only to discover its lacking any soul or variety of flavor. Bland & Basic is what's being served here, & that's why it isn't thriving. Our two salads & a drink were not even close in value to a $50 meal. We will never go back. I hope they can step it up & realize that people will patron the restaurant IF it serves truly delicious food- they are falling short of this, & that makes it a waste of all the costs & effort to even have it there at all. My suggestion: drop the entrees & food selections & focus on boba/tea/smoothies/coffee/specialty drinks & desserts. Or hire a talented asian-fusion chef.

The restaurant is located in a small retail shopping center. It's easy to miss if you're not looking for it. First impressions are that it is clean, fresh, and reasonably priced. The menu has a variety of items from which to choose (more than just sushi). I ordered the vegetable tempura and water. Service was prompt and my lunch was made to order. The came quickly, it was piping hot, and very good!! If you're looking for something new to try, I think you'll like what this place. Itadakimasu!

It's a cute little store with great Boba and super fresh ingredients. He said that his recipe was just like the place in Hawaii. We had the Ahi Tower bowl, with the perfect amount of heat and the Ahi Poke bowl. Even though it was only 25 mins before they closed, they were super friendly and didnt rush us at all. The ingredients all tasted very fresh and bright also (which we have been to some places at the end of the day and you can kind of tell) but not here. It was all SO good and we will.be back!!

This is a relatively new place, they have sushi, rice bowls and various tea drinks. It's a small location with a handful of table and you can of course order for take out which seemed like a popular option when I was here. I ordered the Seared Tuna Rice Bowl which was very good! The rice had more pepper than I expected but was good and added more flavor to the dish. I also tried their green tea which also was good. It was different type of green tea drink than I'm used to but was really good. Hard to describe. I will definitely come back and try some of their other dishes.

This little business is a gem! Sushi was fresh and delicious. Excellent selection of appetizers and entrees. This was my second time visiting this restaurant. It's clean and inviting like a neighborhood restaurant should be. Boba Tea was so amazing. Great service with a friendly smile.

    Double rice

The sushi rolls were mostly rice! Hardly any fish so, I couldn't enjoy the food. The only roll that wasn't mostly rice was the yellow tail. I didn't trust it tho

Super good boba. Kind of expensive but it's not hard too busy so it makes sense. Haven't tried the sushi but will soon!

Cute small business right by the Kroger. Was craving some boba and popped in for a taro milk tea. The service was very great, I asked for it to be less sweet and with little boba and they did just that and even asked to make sure the amount of boba they put in was good! The taro milk tea tasted delicious super great flavor and the texture of the boba was perfect, not too chewy. They are very kind and just opened 3 months ago! The owner also came out and had a great conversation with me, lovely people! I can't wait to try their sushi and other boba flavors next time. Support this small local business, I recommend it!

Try this Chinese food place. They have a small but good menu. Lunch or dinner. Remember if you have delivery it cost them 30%

I stopped by right as he opened. Placed my to go order and waited about 10 mins to get it. Miso soup, edamame, spicy tuna roll and crunchy bowl! As I waited there were a couple of fun vending machines and plenty of seating. A quick 5 mins home and we ripped into lunch! I devoured the roll! It was very fresh and yummy! Lots of wasabi in my soy that I mixed just like I like it! The edamame was good, I added chopped garlic when I got home because it's good like that! I saved some edamame and will roast that in the air fryer for another meal! It's good. It's fresh! Go there, get some. Life is too short for boring food!

This review honestly has very little to do with sushi and everything to do with people…read more Tonight, January 30th, I placed a to go order and completely missed the fact that they close at 8:30. Around closing time I got a call from the owner saying, "Hey, your food is ready. We close at 8:30. Can you come grab it?" I apologized and said I would be there in five minutes. When I pulled up, the shop was fully closed. Lights off. Doors locked. And there he was outside in about 30 degree weather holding my bag. He walked it right to my car. I apologized again and told him I felt terrible for keeping him late. Without hesitation, without attitude, without even a hint of frustration, he just smiled and said, "No problem. You are my neighbor. That is what neighbors do." That stopped me in my tracks. He had every reason to be annoyed. He could have left. He could have canceled the order. Instead, he stayed late, waited in the cold, and treated me like a friend. In a time where people feel more divided and rushed than ever, that kind of simple human kindness is rare and really meaningful. And here is the thing, this is not a one off. Every time I come here, they ask how I am doing and they actually listen to the answer. Whether it's the person making the sushi, running the register, or the owner himself, I have never once felt rushed or like an inconvenience. They genuinely care. As for the food, it is exactly what Sushi Go is supposed to be: consistently good, fresh, affordable sushi done right. You are not going for a formal omakase experience, and that is not what they are trying to be. They deliver solid quality, fast, and reliably, and they do it extremely well. The ahi tower is awesome, and we have never had a bad meal here. They absolutely get the food right, and that matters. But just as important is how you are treated when you walk through the door, and Sushi Go gets both perfectly. We will definitely continue supporting this business, and I very much hope you do the same.

Step 4: Name every roll after either a volcano, a ninja, or an apocalypse. Komodo Loco apparently looked at that formula and said, "Nah." This place has actual character. The restaurant is dark and cool without feeling like you're being interrogated. There are cozy little nooks everywhere, and somehow it manages to feel both laid-back and upscale. Like if a speakeasy and a sushi restaurant had a child who grew up with excellent taste. Then the food arrived. Look, I've had plenty of sushi. I've had good sushi. I've had "my friend won't stop talking about this sushi" sushi. Komodo Loco belongs in the last category. The fish was incredibly fresh, but what really stood out was that the rolls didn't all taste like slight variations of spicy mayo negotiating with cream cheese. The flavors were genuinely original. We ordered the Crispy Rice Bites, the T-Dub Roll, and the Horacio Roll based on our server's recommendations. The Crispy Rice Bites were so good I briefly considered ordering a second round before I had finished the first. The T-Dub Roll disappeared from the plate so quickly that I suspect it may have violated several laws of physics. The Horacio Roll was one of those dishes that makes you stop talking mid-sentence and stare into the middle distance while reconsidering every life choice that led you to not order two of them. Which brings me to our server: Breann. Or Breanna. I apologize for not knowing which one. In my defense, I was busy entering a committed relationship with sushi. My daughter is moving to Denton, and since we don't live here, we asked what we should order. Breann/Breanna immediately became the Gandalf of menu navigation. There was no hesitation. No "everything is good." No vague server diplomacy. Just confident recommendations that absolutely delivered. She was kind, funny, helpful, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. More importantly, she made my daughter feel at home in a city she's about to call home. As a dad, that meant a lot. I also loved how Komodo Loco celebrated Pride Month. Not because restaurants have to weigh in on everything, but because the atmosphere simply communicated: "Hey, you're welcome here." And honestly, that's one of the best things a restaurant can do. Good food fills your stomach. A welcoming place fills the room. Komodo Loco managed to do both. So yes, I'll be back every time I'm in Denton. My daughter thinks she's moving here for school. I think she's moving here so I'll have an excuse to eat at Komodo Loco several times a year. One of us is probably right.
