I got my order online very quickly and they aren't busy at all because you don't have to wait for your order long. I am here twice a week.

This was our first time eating here, but it wasn't the first time we tried. We've had several drive thru visits where they were out of everything we attempted to order. On each of those visits, it got to the point where it's annoying and you want to ask if they have anything at all and why pay $8 for a sandwich that wasn't even in your top 3 choices? So on those days, we ended up eating elsewhere. There was also one time that we went inside and it smelled really awful. I don't know what it was exactly, maybe a cleaner or a HVAC problem, but it was nauseating and we had to turn around and leave. Due to our last visit, my husband did NOT want to go inside. However, we had just had some blood work done across the street and this was one of three places open. The Chic Fil A had a line wrapping around the building and I was getting hangry, so we hesitantly stepped inside. It smelled fine- whew, so relieved! Having never actually eaten here, we weren't really familiar with their menu. After we ordered, I grabbed one of their to go menus, so I could be more prepared in the future. If you are familiar with their system, they apparently have options for ordering at tablets in a fast lane as well as online ordering to your table or for a pick up from little cubby holes. My husband went with a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich for $4.49. I went with a toasted bagel and their honey walnut spread for $2.49. I ordered a caffe mocha which was $4.09. I also decided that I needed some protein, so I got a side of steak, which isn't really on their menu as an option, but Brittani was very helpful in getting me the order I needed. She very kindly answered my questions and made suggestions for me. We were given a buzzer and went to get my husband a drink and find a place to sit. I saw some very colorful teas and lemonades by the drink fountain, which were a nice option. They also have a variety of coffee roasts. The seating was plentiful and varied with some leather chairs, booths of varying sizes and tables that could fit at least a dozen people- so yes, good for groups, Yelp. The food and my mocha came out at a reasonable time. My husband's panini looked fairly anemic and was a smaller size than expected. For the price we expected a larger, heartier sandwich. A side may have helped, but we didn't know it didn't come with one and my husband wasn't warned or asked if he wanted one. My bagel had a nice toast on it, but was really chewy, I had to tear at it with my teeth, more work than I was expecting. The spread was tasty and an interesting flavor combination, I just don't think I care for the way they make their bagels enough to order it again. They are baked in house, but there were a lot of holes and they were on the thin side. I love bagels, but I guess I'm picky about them, so this may or may not appeal to you. The steak tasted fine and was sliced thinly. Now knowing that, I would consider ordering a steak sandwich in the future. Both my bagel and side of steak were really cheap. The mocha was woefully overpriced and I'm glad I got it in a to go cup so I didn't waste any of the $4.09. We were confused that some items were so overpriced, while others were very, very cheap. This makes it difficult to determine value off a first visit. The atmosphere was interesting, the selection was fairly varied, the service was good and the food was okay. Overall, from a first visit it was 3 1/2 stars. When deciding whether to round up or down, I have to consider the fact that my husband was still hungry when we left and we had to spend money on food somewhere else. Also, I have to consider that this was the first time actually eating here because they seem to run out of a lot of item on a semi regular basis. That brings the value down for me, so at this time I have to go with 3 stars. We will consider eating here again to try some other options, like lunch, we aren't against trying other items, we just aren't in a hurry to return and likely won't go out of our way to do so.

This is how much chicken you get for $9.19? Looks like it's from a can no less.
    Jason R.

Cashier wasn't knowledgeable about the menu, and had to ask three times for a large drink. Then my chicken tortellini alfredo arrives with about two tablespoons of chicken, which looks like it's from a can. Pitiful! And a $9.19 full entree no less. See photo. With the death of the .99 bakery item, and pitiful portions of meat with full entrees, it's unlikely I'll be dining here in the future.

Panera used to be good. Quality is down, portions are reduced and prices. Are ridiculous. Won't be back.

A solid place to pick up lunch or dinner in Denton; good sandwiches and potato salad. I recommend it.

They close at 9 every day now (not 10) but they didn't change it on Yelp so we drove across town for locked doors.

Lies a sacred temple spoken of only in late-night smoke circles and whispered among the enlightened: Cheba Hut. A place said to be crafted by the Ancient Toastmasters--mystical beings who forged balance, flavor, and perfect toasted bread at the dawn of the munchie universe. Its walls are etched with hemp-runes. The air vibrates with the scent of destiny, jalapeños, and lightly toasted magic. Inside this hallowed sanctuary, two legendary food-warriors rise whenever a hungry traveler approaches the counter: THE DEATH STAR -- DARK LORD OF FLAVOR Formed in the cosmic smoke between light and shadow, the Death Star is stacked with smoked turkey, salami, bacon, pepper jack, and cream cheese--the five elemental forces of the Stoner Pantheon. Jalapeños explode like tiny meteors. Pickles and onions whisper ancient secrets handed down through generations of late-night snack shamans. The Death Star doesn't simply satisfy your hunger; it bends your entire existence into its orbit. It hits with the gravitational pull of a black hole fueled by toasted bread, forbidden knowledge, and perfect munchie science. THE KALI MIST -- SHAMAN OF SPICE Emerging from the sacred fog that drifts across the Hippie Highlands, the Kali Mist is a creature of balance and enlightenment: roasted turkey, bacon, chipotle mayo, avocado, jalapeños, pepper jack, and crisp veggies standing in alignment like the chakras of a toasted sage. One bite opens your mind. Two bites expand your consciousness. Three bites make you swear you understand the language of houseplants and incense smoke. The Kali Mist is not a sandwich; it is a ceremony. A vision quest wrapped in perfect bread. And so I stand there, a lone wanderer in the Munchie Realms, bearing witness to the eternal struggle of these two herb-blessed titans. The Death Star calls me to the dark side of indulgence. The Kali Mist guides me toward enlightenment and spicy transcendence. I am torn. I am lifted. I am absolutely elevated. Nothing at Cheba Hut is ordinary. Nothing is mid. Every ingredient tastes like it was crafted by stoner monks who toasted bread using the heat of the sun and ground pepper by chanting ancient munchie hymns. I could eat here every single day for the remainder of my earthly journey and consider it a life fulfilled. Cheba Hut isn't a restaurant. It is a ritual. A quest. A toasted religion. All hail the Hut. The legend lives on.

Plus there was the promise of peanut butter, bananas and bacon. More on that in a bit. After spending some time out in the sun in North Lakes Park just down the road, it was lunchtime. My brother had been here a few times and said the sandwiches were pretty good. Also pretty inexpensive. We were just looking for something quick and this was a short drive from the park. Easy enough decision. The deal here is they have a station at the front where you choose what kind of sandwich you want. Some of the categories you can choose from are Turkey, Ham & Pork, Chicken, Vegetarian, Italian and Comforts. Each of those categories has 5 sandwiches listed within it. You choose a bag from the category of sandwich that you want and mark which sandwich you want on the bag along with what other things you might want with it. Type of bread, cheese, condiments, etc. Confused yet? Go there. I made it sound a lot harder than it is. My brother and I both ended up getting the Elvis Wich. That is what I mentioned above along with honey. Now I eat peanut butter and banana sandwiches fairly regularly, but I've never had one with bacon. Elvis apparently liked his deep fried. That was not the case here. Simply toasted on wheat bread this was a really good sandwich. I paired it with an Oreo shake because I can't resist a milkshake if I see a sign for one. The bacon was chopped up and that was kind of weird. Not sure why they don't do strips here, but that is a minor complaint. They have an interesting thing going on here.

Just a little FYI it is a messy sandwich but it's so worth every single napkin. We both ordered chips and a drink with it. We both tried the flavored tea of the day, which was Watermelon Tea.. perfect amount of watermelon flavoring added for the right taste. I was also impressed that we went close to what would have been right after the lunch rush and this place was so clean.. bathrooms, tables, floor, drink station, even her station behind the counter with all the dressings for the sandwiches was so clean and stocked...
