The past three times me and my fiancé have came here, they have messed up our order some way or another. The food itself is good but I feel like I shouldn't have to go up and tell them every time that I got something else instead of what they gave me. This past time we went they not only messed up the soup I ordered, but I found a hair in it as well. At least the atmosphere is overall clean every time I come, that I can applaud. Just maybe work on getting orders right and not dropping haie in people's orders. read more

I discovered Panera in Knoxville, Tenn., and ejoyed their food and especially their bakery. I'd love to go more often, but the food is very expensive, and the bakery in Decatur is offers few options. I used to get a cheese foccacia, cheese bread, muffins and cookies. I never see foccacia or bread of any kind very often now. Muffis and so expensive I just don't bother anymore. A bowl of soup winds up costing $10 with tax and it doesn't even fill you up. read more

Friendly service and fun atmosphere. I haven't been to a Panera Bread in a long time, but since moving back to the area I've been a a few times. It's obvious they are still struggling with supply chain and personnel availability issues, but they're trying to work through it. I recommend the tomato soup and a grilled cheese. The service was good but the food was horrible. I just wanted a bagel. You would think with bread in the name they would have a good bagel. It was probably very good when it was made. My guess is that it was made somewhere else and frozen. That would be bad if they didn't microwave wave it in the morning to leave on the open counter all day. When I got home it was a rock. You could use it to drive a nail. The consistency was perfect it was rock hard all the way through. read more

This is a Panera - either you like them or you don't. When my wife and I travel, this is the place we seek for dining. The food is good. I had the Asian Chicken Salad -- it wasn't what I was thinking of, but I was happy - it is good! Always out of bread bowls, and hearing someone that works on the line complain about what customers ask for is a problem. Another issue is the night shift manager today was talking so loud people were looking. Not exactly a relaxing place to eat or study. First I'd like to say that I don't usually fill out the reviews but always check them when I'm looking for somewhere to eat. I feel obligated to give them 5 Stars! During a time where uncertainty is around every corner, the employees of this particular restaurant was extremely helpful. We checked to make sure the store was still open while everything was closing due to the Pandemic. So after confirming they were open, we placed a mobile order. #socialdistancing When we got there less that 10 minutes later, the doors were locked and a sign on the door claimed they were closed. An employee eventually came out and explained that the decision had just recently been made and that their ovens were off. However, he made us a veggie sandwich and canceled our outstanding order thus refunding the money. They were very helpful and what I have come to expect from the Panera Bread brand. read more

Panera bread is one of my favorite restaurants. I love the hazelnut coffee and my favorite soup is chicken noodle and I normally get it with just the broth and a baguette. The atmosphere is really good and they practice social distancing so the tables are not all seated for your safety. They have a Lotta great things on the menu and their pastries are always good and I love that they have a microwave you can use to heat up your bread. It's a very nice cozy Internet bar type atmosphere. Breakfast lunch and dinner is served here and no matter what you get, You won't be disappointed. read more

Disappointed in the Curbside Pick-Up. For two consecutive orders, my order has not be brought to my car in a timely manner. In both incidents, I waited for 20+ minutes beyond the time indicated on my App that my orders were ready. The first time, I phoned the store to check the status, but the employee indicated that I had not officially checked in (untrue). On the second occasion (3 October), after waiting 30 minutes beyond the App's indicated time of order completion, I went inside to collect my order that was sitting waiting on a tray with the seal broken. Finally, I reached out to the Panera Company Website to post my concerns (Customer Care Reference Number: 00697047), but I have still yet to receive a reply. I realize that many businesses are undergoing challenges during this time. This particular Panera was completely closed for many weeks. However, I am disappointed that they seem to be having trouble adapting to the Curbside Pick-up service. If they are unable to offer this service in efficient manner, then the service should be re-examined. In regards to the food, I was very happy with the overall taste of the food. However, obviously, the food was lukewarm at best each time. read more

Love their Cuban sandwich . The service at the Decatur AL site was very good and the employees were very friendly. The only disappointment was with the Scones. Until recently, we purchased Scones weekly, we loved them! Recently Panera reduced the size of their scones by approximately 50% without reducing the price! We no longer purchase scones at Panera. read more

just wanted to say AWESOME delivery. I placed a call in/ delivery order and it arrived at my door in what felt like 10 minutes and the location is 15 from my house !! I left a nice tip because I was so impressed with how quick the delivery was. there were two delivery guys. shoutout to Evan!! I Rarely do a review but was so impressed with the brisket that I had at this restaurant I had to. Was in town for a meeting and went and had lunch there, I usually don't expect good brisket unless I'm in Texas, their brisket was to die for. I got the large order and when I got held over the next day I went back and got it again. I wouldn't normally eat brisket two days in a row but the first day was so damn good I couldn't help it. Whatever they encrusted it with got smoked thru the meat. Maybe the bast I've ever had. I pray they don't change that recipe, ever. I'll make the 2-1/2 drive for that meal. read more

They had all of the basics... bagels, coffee, soufflés, pastries, but we had to ask for plates and they said they didn't have plates rather than walking over to the food prep area to grab a plate, said they didn't have any yogurt parfaits prepared for breakfast, didn't offer utensils, and had to be asked to give us the coffee cup we ordered. I have always liked eating at Panera bread because of their soups. I have tried three times recently to go by this one in Decatur and each time I have noticed someone preparing the food doing something with their gloves and not changing their gloves and again preparing the food. The first time, one of them messed with their hair. The second time, a different person did something with their clothes. This third and final time I just went in, one of the managers named Rachel was there and she pulled up her pants and also wiped her nose with the back of her gloves and continued on. I am done with the one in Decatur. Each time, I have pointed it out to them and still nothing evidently gets the message across to them. No more. I will go somewhere else. read more

That's it...uncle...I surrender. I've just tossed my second Panera salad in the trash bin. A few months back I ordered ahalf salad, got it home and discovered it was wilted lettuce and almost none of the fruit or veggies that were supposed to be there. Last night I ordered a full chicken Cobb salad, got it home and found NO Cobb ingredients and...get this...NO chicken! In a chicken salad!!!! None. Trash bin visit #2. That's it, removing phone app, not even gonna try anymore. When even zaxbys or Mickey D's can best you in something as simple as a salad, you just need to stop, Panera. Pathetic. read more

Panera is a good place for both large and small groups. They offer a large variety of foods from healthy to comfort. The service is usually good but if you order online and pick it up in store, the order is wrong 50% of the time, so check before you leave. The staff will fix any problem you have with the meal. The menu changes often (especially the soups) so you have something new to choose from every time. read more

I have been to this Panera Bread numerous times. The food is consistently delicious, and the staff is very friendly. The few times my order has been incorrect, the employees definitely made things right. This location can get very crowded during weekday lunches. This is a consistent issue with this particular Panera Bread location, they do not let you know when your food is ready, they do not call out a name and today in the short time we were there no buzzers for several of the customers. I stop in 4-5 Panera locations as the food is always good, but this Decatur location seems to have some management training issue. read more

The food is always consistently good. The coffee is always fresh and hot and for the most part, it's always clean. However, my last experience was not so pleasant for a couple of reasons: 1) It was so COLD; I thought it might snow. It is the high 80's but the temperature inside was in the low 70's. I had on full-length leggings and a long sleeve sweater and was uncomfortable the entire visit. 2) During the entire visit, I had to listen to the catering manager tell her "bad customer" story to at least two team members and the shift manager. After about the third telling of why this customer was a problem, I had enough. The entire restaurant could hear every word. Not a flattering brand ambassador. read more

So we called this morning to order 2 bagels to go and we're told they didn't have any. We found this strange so drove over and yes they had bagels. 1st strike. Then waited and waited while the guy very very slowly made 1 smoothie for the customer before us while another guy stood in cooking area and manager stayed in back. There were no other customers. He clearly had no other plans for the day. We were never acknowledge. Second strike. We finally get to order our bagels and rings it up. Then he proceeds to clean the kitchen where he made the smoothie while we stood there. 3rd strike. I asked if we could have our bagels so we could leave and he said he was cleaning the kitchen. Are you kidding me!!!!! I asked to speak to manager who was probably the one who said there were no bagels since no other females we're there. She didn't care. Is there a 4th strike? Now there is.We are REGULARS during the week and the staff and service are always good. Don't go at night or weekends until they address the management and staff of those shifts or you may be very disappointed. Also the place was dirty and not busy. Sad.
