Club Sandwich with Chicken Potato Salad
    C. M. F.

WOW! Ate here for the first time and it was pleasant surprise to get friendly people, fast service, good eats, and fair pricing. Located in a very plain nondescript building this restaurant knocks the pants off any other deli in the area. The bathrooms were immaculate as well as the entire establishment. You enter, order, pay, sit down and your food is brought out to you. Simple yet elegant. Strongly suggest you try it out. I'll be back for sure.

Chicken Salad Wrap (don't recommend, too much chicken salad. Get it as a sandwich or scoop, or just get a different wrap).

Great little lunch spot and a local favorite. Think Chicken Salad Chick without the commercially franchise feel. I probably should have just gotten the scoops or a sandwich. The chicken salad wrap was just way too much chicken salad. The cashier did try to warn me - but it still tasted great. The pretzel strawberry salad was good too.

Cranberry pecan chicken salad, broccoli salad, and strawberry pretzel salad.

This was the greatest find for our trip from Memphis to Atlanta. First and foremost the staff was awesome ans so friendly. Walked in and heard someone mention strawberry pretzel salad. I was hooked. Great lunch selection from scoops of different kinds of chicken salads to fresh deli sandwiches to just sides. My lunch was awesome, husband got ham sandwich on sourdough and potato salad . He loved both. I did let him have a bite of the strawberry pretzel salad then had to move it away before he could eat it all. We will be back!

Looking at the online reviews I saw repeatedly "Love their chicken salad". I asked a few coworkers what they get and they all said "Chicken salad, it's the best". Ok so I'll get the chicken salad. Geez.I also read about how their bread is made in house so I knew I was getting a sandwich. But I warned a coworker...I have high expectations for chicken salad in general because Momma sure makes some good chicken salad. However, I've never really had GOOD chicken salad from a restaurant. Chicken salad sandwich on whole wheat you were delicious. The chicken salad is unlike others I've had at restaurants. It appears to be only a mixture of mayo, chicken, and pepper but when you bite into it more flavors show up to the party. The chicken is big, chunky, pulled pieces that are moist and tender. It really is peppery, more so than I've ever had in chicken salad and very enjoyable. I'm not sure what the other secret, invisible-to-the-eye flavors are but the concoction is perfect to give chicken all the flavor it needs. Those who hate fruit, nuts, and chunky vegetables in their ckn salad would love this version. The bread was like a soft pillow of whole wheat. Definitely fresh! The sandwich was hearty for the $4.85 price. Their menu isn't fancy and maybe more geared to the typical female taste but I think plenty of men should like it too if they aren't anti-mayo, Taco Bell and Waffle House connoisseurs like my husband. The reason it's on my Top 100 Dishes to Try list: Chicken Salad sandwich List: The BEST chicken salad I've ever had (in a restaurant),

My wife brought me a carry-out order for lunch. I asked her for the chicken wrap and surprise me with a side or the delicious strawberry cake. She got me the Strawberry pretzel salad as a side so she skipped the cake. Overall this was very delicious. The chicken wrap had nicely grilled chicken, spinach, cheese, some sort of mayo (maybe a pesto mayo or something because it didn't look like straight mayo). It was very delicious. Same for pretzel salad. The topping wasn't jello or sliced strawberries, but it seemed like a nice fresh strawberry topping made with cooked, fresh strawberries.the pretzels were crunchy too. If I had one thing I would improve would be the presentation of the pretzel salad. It didn't fill the container it was in but looked like it once occupied the voided sections of the small plastic container. Did somebody eat the other part of my delicious side? I asked my wife and she said she hadn't. I was a little saddened because I sure would have liked another bite or two..especially since the wrap and a side was $8.50. Next time though...strawberry cake! I've eaten here a few times now and have always been pleased.

Chicken wrap is awesome! You won't go wrong having this.

I stopped by with a colleague on a recent business trip and missed the part of the sign above the…read morerestaurant where it shows the word "brick" so I had to drive around the block a 2nd time to even locate the place. It was fairly full on a Tuesday for lunch so we had to sit by the front door. The menu is fairly simple and includes specialty sandwiches, salads and soups, a couple desserts and not much else. For as large as this space is, you would think they would serve more food items. Maybe their kitchen is just very small, not sure. The server indicated many of their sandwiches are steamed. I tried one of their sandwiches, the casa grande without olives, with a side (potato salad) and a homemade banana pudding. Sandwich - this is a pretty good sandwich that is moist due to the steaming and a lot of mustard and mayo. They also forgot to take off the olives though. Potato salad - their version is like a German potato salad with some skin showing and plenty of mustard as the base. The problem was it was too chunky with a chunk of potato the size of my fist. This is just too big to bite. Banana pudding - pretty good but very sweet My colleague's sandwich was decent too, but he also had a problem with some soggy bread. The service was decent as both our soft drinks were refilled promptly. Mondays amd Tuesdays are semi slow and they close at 3; however, other days are much busier with live music mostly on Fridays and occasional Saturdays.

Quick take: food was pretty good, decent prices, great drink, will come back!…read moreCame in around 5pm on Friday 2/27 and only one person at the bar. Nice lady told us to seat ourselves where we want, GM initially waited on us. He was friendly. Wife said he made the margarita and it was great! A little stronger than my wife likes, just under what I like. After a couple sips she loved it! He recommended fried catfish and the ribeye as favorites. We tried both. Ribeye: cooked nicely, not seasoned enough for my taste. I would order and try this again, $26, with two sides. Steak was tender and was a nice cut of ribeye. Salad was solid. Mashed potatoes ok. Could have used a piece of toast I think. Next time a different side from mashed taters. Catfish: GREAT! Light, fluffy, fried perfectly. Hush puppies were good, a little thick though. Fried okra was also great! Cole slaw could be hit or miss for folks.. i thought it was good, wife didn't like. Should have come out in mashed potato sized bowl to eat easier. Some dislikes: 1. Steak not seasoned well. But I'd try it again. 2. Some things missing off of our plates initially (tartar sauce, mashed potatoes.) No big deal but if it was busier I think we may not have seen them for a while. 3. Person bringing single bowl of mashed potatoes holding with one hand, palm down over potatoes. Pretty sure it looked like hand touched top of potatoes. 4. Not sure if this is a smoking establishment but a guy at the bar lit a cigar. But he must've been asked to take it outside because he put it out. Glad he did because we had a baby. Not sure why he thought he could smoke it in there if he hadn't before. Overall, good visit and I look forward to trying more things and eating that catfish again.

First visit and it will not be the last!…read more After looking at reviews and photos I knew I was ordering the salmon with cabbage and rice. Salmon was seasoned perfectly, had a nice crispy char on the outside while the fish was moist and tender. Only thing that could have made it better was another piece! The cabbage was soft and flavorful, but not overly seasoned, nice comfort cooking style. The rice was perfectly cooked, had hints of I believe saffron and maybe liquid smoke(?) whatever it was the rice really stood out my only complaint would be there wasn't enough. My wife had the grilled shrimp with sauce and she was very happy, they were cleaned, cooked well, and she really enjoyed the sauce. She had the same two sides and also said a bit more rice would have been nice. For desert we had their deep fried cheese cake, it's almost like a cannoli and cheesecake had a baby that was deep fried. The dough was softer than cannoli but the apple drizzle paired very well with the dessert. We plan to return, but it will be hard to order anything other than that salmon! Great location across, right across the street from Princess Theater.

Everybody I know loves their Granny's collards best, but I swear that these are truly outstanding. Ollie and Finn's Counter…read more Tucked away in a little brewery near the Columbia square is this little sandwich shop. I have been recommended this place by multiple people throughout the years and finally got a chance to give it a try. (Well, I say that but mainly because I go to Gold's Deli everytime I'm in Columbia. So it was time to share the love) They have a pretty large menu of various sandwiches, I wish I had grabbed a picture of them. I asked the cashier if she had to pick one sandwich which one would it be, she gave me a list of about 3 that all sounded amazing. The fourth she suggested was if you're overwhelmed or unsure just get the Italian. I LOVE Italian sandwiches so that is what I ended up with. Everything here is fresh so I waited about 5-10 minutes for my sandwich to get made. I will definitely be trying out some of the more adventurous creations next time but this was so good. This Italian has a freshness to it that I have a hard time describing but their olive oil blend is lovely, the olives, banana peppers and lettuce helped with that fresh taste as well I'm sure. The bread is incredible! It taste house baked, crisp outer crust with a pillowy interior. The house chips were also really good and salted perfectly. The inside is cool, it's a microbrewery and there's subtle like alien themes throughout? Overall can't wait to try it out again, stop by if you're ever down in Columbia!
